I'm thinking of switching over to Google Chrome. For the longest time I've been having issues with Firefox. It's constantly crashing and if I manage to keep it running long enough, I will encounter bugs that make browsing more difficult.
Bugs include: websites like Youtube fail to load. Firefox starts to take up 99% of my processing power and will stay like that for 10 minutes, while waiting for it to stop, my computer is unable to do anything apart from playing solitaire. Sometimes the browser stops loading a page that I'm opening and I end up with half the content of that page (this happens ALL the time when I'm trying to access my internet bank). Most of these bugs disappear if I restart the browser completely by shutting it down via task manager… for a while.
So there, I think the problem may be a Firefox update that's not sitting well with my computer. I've been hoping that future updates would fix the problem and so far, every time my version number, crawls up an extra digit or two, the problems either grow smaller or larger in intensity.
Anyways. I've been testing Google Chrome for few days and it doesn't seem to have any of these issues. Anyone around here who has had good/bad experience with this browser?

I'll admit. I haven't done that. I've thoroughly scanned the computer for any possible viruses that might affect the browser but nothing's come up.Firefox issues…ave you tried a total uninstall and then reinstall of the latest version?
Often programs develop faults over time and the patches don't affect that.
I'll try uninstall/install when I have time. See how that works.
[edit] Just finished the deed. Time will tell if it's stable again.
Kamen rider dragon knight is fucking awesome, i found it totally by accident and now i'm hooked. I really like the whole 'young teens that have the problems of young teens must deal with their young teen problems while also randomly fighting armored morons'.
that description sounds like the last 130 issues of Ultimate Spider-Man. Except, you know, he doesn't have a bike :)

edit: (since no one posted after me yet there's no need for a new post, right?).
I'm really happy that after relettering I can shrink the size of online pages to 600pixels wide and they're still easily readable :D
I've successfully fixed the audio issues in my Flash animation and incorporated the VCam. All I must do now is finish the final scene. It'll take a little bit since it's the final battle and I want it to be a little more than "punch 1, kick 2, punch 3, kick 1, person dead" *L*
Fudge i need to get back into the comic groove, i wrote a sci-fi ish one the other day but that's about 50 pages -__- And with my other short stories it's like I get bored after 3 pages of it and lose interest…
Ah screw it i'm going to do that yaoi comic, except half ass the art this time, then maybe i won't get burnt out so fast
For a staff development project we had to put our names on a sheet of paper and pass it around for people to write descriptions about us. Somehow I didn't get as much writing as there were people in the room, but oh well. So evidently I'm:
Anime!
Happy
Comic-drawing OT!
Smart
good music player
good to talk to
friendly
kind-hearted
creative
very intelligent
cool
nice
smart
sweet
funny
fun loving
and *awesome*
And evidently I give a lot of insight about my family which I really don't remember doing a lot of.
Someone mentioned the other day that they were having problems with the way that their Firefox browser handled certain Internet sites. Yeah, I found that out for myself just yesterday. After years of not using my Deviantart.com membership I finally kicked it up the other day and came within a micron of turning my back on the site again because it was SLOOOOOOOOOW. Then I thought about browser options and kicked up my old, hardly ever used MSN Explorer browser and YOWSAH! It was like greased lightning where viewing Deviantart pages was concerned.
I still prefer using Firefox whenever I can, but I have to admit that the browser definitely has it problems. I am also considering trying out the Google browser. Anyone have any experience with that?
Also, after over a year of possessing a 'new' desk top computer, I finally gritted my teeth and unplugged everything and took the side cover off and gently blew away the collected dust with one of those cans of air dilly-bobs that you purchase in computer stores. When there was no more billows [yes billows] of dust flying through the air from that desk top unit I THEN went and fetched my electric leaf blower, put it on its lowest setting, stood way back and let the unit have a blast or two of REAL air pressure and volume. Momma, did the dust clouds billow then!
Heh, heh! Call me a rebel or an idiot. On the other hand I am using the reassembled 'clean' desk top unit now with nary a hint of trouble from it. Gotta love those leaf blowers!
Yeah that hurts! - I once penned a decent length novel in reply to a question posed by Bravo1102 in a moment of self doubt. I went to hell and back, exposing all my vulnerabilties to help him out of a hole - took me nearly an hour. *Pting* all lost in the server move.
Gotta love those leaf blowers! You turned into Robert De Niro in Brazil!
Aurora Borealis, I haven't kept up with the browser wars. It might be wonderful for all I know. The thing is that I am generally happy with Firefox, even if it is a memory resources hog. Now if half a dozen people jump on a particular browser bandwagon and swear up and down that it's the greatest thing since cartooning . . . well then I'd definitely be willing to switch!
Ironscarf, I've used a leaf blower for years as a means of 'dusting' furniture and other items inside the house. I'm crazy that way, but it works for me. lol!
I now have a cold as well as hayfever. My head is so full of goo right now that I'm surprised it doesn't burst open.
In addition to this, I can't breathe through my nose and am having extreme difficultly breathing through my mouth. The high pitched wheezing doesn't help either.
I just found out that one of my friends on drunkduck gets 4,000 page views while I get an averge of 68! Rawr!
Also another friend has 25 pages with 25,000 pageviews total! I have 72 pages and I'm not even over 9,000 yet!
What? 72 pages and you have 9000 views? Um that's good. Take it from someone who kills himself turning out every page of a comic that isn't read. I have twice as many pages and twice as many views. lol!
Anyway I overslept and missed my Army buddy reunion and now feel like totally worthless shit. I'm not even worthy of being fertilizer.
So here I am trying to do up some pages. It's shit. The way I feel right now I could do Watchmen/Dark Knight Returns and I'd feel it's shit.
I hate modern PG horror movies. After all the explicit slasher stuff done a PG slasher is stupid unless it's Hitchcock. Forget the slashing and focus on the reactions, but make it worth while dammit! I'm better off watching 1930's-40's poverty row features. They just can't make movies like that anymore. How dare you bother to write a decent script and create interesting characters.
Nah, slash twenty-somethings and not show anything and expect an audience to magically appear in the store to pick up the direct to video release… lol!

Don't feel bad. Mystery Bread was featured and the page views didn't go up significantly. It has an average of 50 views a day. 10,270 views total. It has 51 pages and almost a year old.
DDM, on the other hand is at 132 pages. Has an average of 173 views a day and 17,950 total veiws.

Just a good browser called Opera (whitout saying others are bad… unless, you know, IE, but that one's BAAAAD, haha) that I've been using since 2002.

You can customize its look (by moving the toolbars, adding or removing buttons, changing skins, editing keyboard shortcuts etc.) use zoom (lifesaver here, I can't read the DD forums without setting it to 130%, otherwise I get a font that's too tiny for my eyes), you can mark part of the text on the website and send it to a translator by the right click menu, you have a nice content blocker (that allows you to block flash ads too), you can force your own css or use one of the available presets (useful on eyeburning websites where they give you red text on blue background, you just hit one of presets and enjoy black text on white background), eats a LOT less memory (currently 150mb with 26 tabs open although that changes dpeending on content ofthe sites too), has a built in RSS feed and can read your mail too (although I'm not using it for mail), plus you can set stuff specifically for a website or a domain (for example block cookies on a specific site or force something else elsewhere)… and so on.
I'm sure a lot of that can be achieved through various plugins in firefox, but hey, it comes built in here right in the 6mb download. So yeah, it's what I'm using, here's my sales pitch :D
So mom is thinking about getting me a dirtbike, i'll probably just get some cheap 450$ one off craigslist if her friends won't sell theirs cheap. I saw this really nice quad for 550$ on there, guy sounded pretty desperate too.(hell yeah~)
This is kinda weird for her though, she won't even let me go to the gym past 11pm but she's okay with me racing around jagged rocks in a rickety metal deathtrap.(hell yeah~)
Edit: this is actually my first time really looking at craigslist now that i think about it, not sure if want. Also i checked the 'women seeking women' and literally all of them said 'bbw'.

Awww. I feel you. :[ Something in England is giving me allergies. Normally I don't have any but the last 2 springs here have been terrible. I spent the last 2 days not being able to breathe because my lungs felt like they couldn't expand, puffy and sore eyes, with a massive headache that made me off balance and weak as a kitten. I've been popping the allergy pills but they have limited usefulness. I'm feeling a lot better today, and coincidentally (or perhaps not) it's very windy outside? So, hopefully whatever it is will leave me alone this weekend so I can get some work done.
Trust me. It'll start to summon you when you least expect it… like a siren song of doom. I should know… I've been off and on the thing while playing other games like Anarchy Online and City of Heroes (also on and off). In fact, I'm tempted to return to CoH after hearing about that new mission architect thing they added on.
After three straight years of complete World of Warcraft immersion, I've given it up cold turkey.
*twitch* Must not… reinstall…

With it and it's brother Firefox, the back button is all it takes to retrieve a lost post.

So I'm thinking of upgrading my video card to the top of the line one from Nvidia… But it's not an easy decision. The price doesn't concern me, the power usage does. :(
Oh, maybe I'll get it anyway, it's not like I game that much. The multi monitor support will help run my big monitor and Cintq smoother.
So I'm in a pretty good mood today.
Today is the Fine Arts Festival Awards thing at my school. And I could potentially win! I'm pretty nervous, and I hope my poem doesn't win (sure, it's extra money, but it's a terrible poem, AND I'd have to read it!)
But I want my drawing to win :3
And yesterday, I got a few more drawing supplies. This new handy lap desk thing, so I can lay in bed and still draw. A new sketch book, consisting of 100 pages. And some 2H lead for my .05 lead pencil. And a red copic marker! Woo.
I think I'll start the whole anatomy thing tomorrow. I would today, but I have a friend coming over I haven't seen in forever, and that'd just be kinda ruuude.
So yeah. I'm gonna go finish getting ready, and then go to school, and whatnot.
See ya'll later~
