Took my cat to the vet, she has a lump on her side that i wanted to get checked out. Ahaha god…the first thing the vets assistant did was get the butt thermometer out and insert in. My cat just flattened her girth onto the table and was too scared to even move for about 15 minutes after that.
But i'm taking her in in the next couple weeks to get this needle thing done to make sure the lump isn't anything bad (doctor thinks it's fat but better to be sure). It'd be great if it was just fat though.
My dog has a couple of those…one on his neck and one by his belly. We took him to the vet to get them checked out and they were just fat. Apparently that's a fairly normal part of aging for dogs. I don't know about cats, but it's probably the same thing. Vet said they don't seem to be causing him any discomfort or anything, so we just have a lumpy dog. : )
