There's some "interactive advertisement" for scented candles or something that is playing almost every time I open a new page in the forums. Urgh. Makes it very irritating to be here.
I miss when the ads used to be for lupus and fatherhood.
Please describe it in full or even make a screenshot of it.
Intrusive ads drive people away so they are not appropriate to the site.

The more I know about it, the easier it is to complain about it to Wowio :)

Thanks oz! : )

The first one that comes up is for "Airwick Winter Candles". But other ones start if I don't leave the page. It's the ad space just underneath the news section on the right.

OK, I've put together a list of 'bad ads' for wowio (though since it's a holiday I'm not sure anyone will see it til monday). Let us know if any more appear. :]

merry thanksgiving americans!

Enjoy your stuffings, and your pies, and your turkeys (hams and roastbeefs)
Mostly, enjoy your family company.
——-

I am sooooooOOoOoOoo full. there was breads, and turkeys and potatoes. mmmmm.then we played euchre. It may not be with family, but we're close enough.

By the time I realized thanksgiving was almost here I'd already done my grocery shopping for the week. So I think I will make myself a mini-thanksgiving dinner next week/end. I was just going to skip it, but man, stuffing and sweet potatoes sound good.

A lot of people talking about thanks giving. Obviously its pointless me saying anything thanksgiving related apart from I like turkey and stuffing.

Also I have an assignments within an assignment tomorrow. I have to describe a piece of art work that I really don't like tomorrow for 3 minutes. Thats all well and good where I not the one made the thing. All I can say is negative things about it.

I hate the way the green stands out, the black is completely pointless. I didn't make these indents in it so I dont like that. I didnt really know what I was going for or how exactly to do that with the media I was given since they somehow expected me being a jobless student to come up with money out of thin air and go buy art supplies because the art department are a bunch of tight ass bastards. There are 3 pots of paint in there. Seriously. 3 pots of dried up paint. We have a choice between black, blue and orange. I brought my own paints in and he disliked the texture of them and told me not to use them. I have had no control of how I actually wanted to make it look and now its a piece of shit because the tutor is a control freak.

I wonder would that last 3 minutes.

For once in my life, I'm participating in Black Friday. First I'm gonna not sleep, and then I shall venture into the blistering cold in the wee hours of the morning to race some strangers for an item that, if it falls to me, shall be given to someone else!

Hehehe, I'm kind of excited! I'm totally not gonna win, but I'm still excited. <3This excitement's gonna be ironic if I get trampled to death though

I got my mom a color pandigital e-reader a few days ago. It's pretty cool it has email, pics, videos, internet, screen that flips with the device, etc.I doubt mom will ever use any of that, in fact i'm sue she wont.

I also have mom's bird in my room because its so cold…i think i preferred when it was a twitchy psycho. It just sits there all 'ovo'. My last bird was cool…it was really loud and probably said lots of awful swear words in parakeet. My cat was afraid of that bird haha.

Urgh… Goddamn work. Well, today's going to be the last night of our night shift… Monday? Most likely 12 hour shift again. It's still undecided. I'm already quite sick of it.

I can't sleep, I'm so tired I can't fall asleep! Never thought it to be possible but it is… hadn't drawn anything serious in ages, just these random sketches in the notebook…

A dull dull. Nothing special.
I just love weekends ^_^
I'm So CONFUSED
Long weekends and things like that always screw with your time sense. It's great when you think it's a Sunday, but it turns out it's a Friday or Saturday… but the flipside is that it can make the next week seem twice a loooong.

Not only did I get to buy what I wanted easily, I met an interesting fellow and we spent the morning visiting stores together. Why didn't I get into this day before!?

It really does feel like Sunday. o_o Reading that post, I was like "Isn't it? Wait…"

Well, the 12 hour shift's looming on my mind. At this point I even dream of the job, ugh.
Come Monday I'll be dead tired.

The only good news are:

I'm awaiting a bunch of packages. COMICS!
1. Philippe Druillet's Lone Sloane/Delirius (from the 70s, used copy, paid about 25$ for mine).
2. Moebius' Le Monde d'Edena (also known as Aedena Cycle/Gardens of Aedena/World of Edena/Świat Edeny), the polish edition. Paid about 33$ for the two oversized hardcovers it consists of. Which is yay, cause for a new book it's damn cheap (it's in regular online stores for about 45$).
3. My own stuff: Inkbook #1, Moon Jade Angel #1 and Coilstar Illustrated #1.

Can't wait to re-read the first one (read a scanned copy before), complete reading the second one (the edition by Epic Comics didn't publish the last two volumes that came out years after they folded) and see the last three on paper.

EVERYBODY'S WORKING FOR THE WEEKEND.

Or is it just me?

Meh. I should really go work on some equipment that went down last week so I can get it ready to go on Monday, but I really don't feel like doing anything right now :/

my wife just tried to explain to me, that the reason i'm not committing to buying a house, is because a house stands for everything that is growing up, and that i'm not ready to accept the responsibilities of being an adult.

This is from the same woman, who doesn't know when she should go out and buy more food. and that if the car has a 1/4 tank of gas, she should fill it up, so she doesn't break down on a freeway. basically doing all the things that keep adults alive.

there may be a possibility that you're married to her super evil but exactly the same personality twin. (just evil and eviler).

BLLLLLARRRRR. internet has been intermittent all day. i wrote up a 3 page facebook note on communism. (just finished reading the communist manifesto) and my viewpoints on the subject. and basically calling out people who hate things without knowing what they hate.

then i clicked submit. and then the internet died.

i didn't remember how eloquently i put everything so when the internet came back, i wrote down my main points and then said somebody was dumb.

The problem with communism is people. people are greedy muppets, fairness is not inherent in our nature.

I like the basic principles of commumism, but any system that forces a way of life on people isn't going to sit right with everyone. I'm discovering that I am something of an anarchist at heart… not like the idiots who trash things to stick it to the man though.

This I found quite interesting.

That's also the trouble with democracy. Neither system has ever been implemented properly to the best of my knowledge… there have just been various political systems around that vaguely use various principals from each and take their names…
When in reality what they really are is "system A that uses a democratic elections" or "System B that uses a communist division of power and distribution of resources"

I think in the USSR they still used various democratic principals in their system. China works more like a semi feudal system with communism and capitalism mixed in along with limited democracy. North Korea is a straight out military dictatorship and functions as a hereditary Monarchy. A wealthy country like the USA is more like a democratic Plutocracy- it's set up so that the wealthy will always be in charge.
Many European systems in contrast have a lot of socialist aspects to their democracy…

Bye guys.
Bye… Why?

—————————–

This is so funny- http://crapplestore.blogspot.com/
Blog by a guy working at a UK Apple store.

An example:
The first thing you'll f**king hate is the opening a new store. You'd think from the cheering something major is happening, but really it just another f**king shop surrounded by other shit shops. Everyone whoops, cheers and delivers high fives all round, especially to the biggest loser of them all- the virgin at the front of the queue.

naww. i'm not for communism. i'm military. communism is democracy's enemy etc etc.
However, i like to know as much as i can. so when i got the kindle, and all these opposite view point books were free, i was like "hell yeah". and then i posted it on facebook that i was reading those books, and they were like "omg i hope ur on a ter'st watch list" etc etc.

(the avatar was created when my friend, a photography major, posted some poses in lighting, i had to edit it.)

True communism has no leadership, which is why it doesn't work.

Well I appreciate the page fuck up but I really need the break.

Even though I haven't really been on that much lately I get addicted so I'm going a bit.

Whether this is forever or not I don't know.

That and I'm not feeling too good recently if you get what I mean and need time to think about it and not sit at a screen for hours on end.

Still love the site and all the people on it.

Peace guys.
