Don't we all?

Quick question, Adobe CS3 or CS4? What's easier?

Hmmm… It's 10.30 in the morning and I'm drinking beer. Yay!

^How do you create so much without getting burned out? Damnit i wanna be you :-(

I'm obsessed with creating things and if I don't do anything for a week, I start feeling really uncomfortable about myself.

Sad thing, it's this creative obsession (or compulsion even) versus my laziness. Sometimes one wins, sometimes the other.

I've finished the script at 22 pages. Funny, when I sat down, it was meant to be a ten page story or something like that, heh. Now I don't know if I can finish it before my buffer runs out :/

Same difference. CS3 and CS4 are the same program, but CS4 has a few upgrades that you need a good video card to use. It's not even necessary stuff. It's junk like being able to rotate the canvas around to view it from another angle easily. I've never even used the features, so I'd go with whatever is cheaper.

I quit drinking when I got to that point where a beer before lunch began sounding like a good idea. I'm pretty sure that's the point where you can be officially classified as having a dependency by anyone, much less a doctor.

I need to buy some decent clothes. I realized I only have one good pair of jeans, and almost every shirt I own is stained with dirt, oil and paint. I haven't gotten a haircut since December and I only have a pair of cheap skate shoes from Walmart to wear. I look like a damn scrub, and even if illustrators aren't expected to be the most fashion conscious I think I need to find a girl who can help me find some nice clothes to wear. I'm absolutely terrible at finding clothes that are respectable and help you look like you've got some class. I'm perfectly fine wearing a pair of jeans I've had since junior high, that are full of holes and only vaguely resemble their original colour. It's my junior year, next year I begin my final thesis, and I think it's probably about time to start behaving as though I want to be a half-way productive member of society.

Aaaahhahahaha! Now this is a topic I like ^__^

Having a girl to pick your clothes for you is baaad - because you will look like a girl dresses you. Maybe you won't look like a slob, but you'll look like a kept toy without his own will, which is only marginally better. That's what I think of whenever I look at that cockmonkey David Beckham.

It's not too hard to dress well… Just find some images of well dressed guys who dress the way you'd like to in styles that you like and then get clothes similar to that. But think about it in terms of what would suit your figure. A good way to do that is to look for images of well dressed guys with similar figures and see what suits them best.
Then once you have some idea and have actually found some stuff that works for you, just keep going with those themes.

Yeah, I have an idea of what kind of look I'm going for. Like a white button down shirt with the sleeves rolled, black tie, black slacks or chinos with a pair of chucks for shoes kind of stuff. Something casual and laid back, but still cleaned up and semi-business like. I just need someone with half a mind for whether or not it looks acceptable to get feedback from. I'd never let someone else pick out my clothing, just give me ideas of what they think. If it's too baggy or too tight for instance. I have a bad habit of buying clothes that are too baggy just because they're more comfortable. As a result, even if I'm wearing a suit it still ends up looking dumpy, like a dork tried to dress himself.

somewhere between this:

It's not junk, it's a lifesaver to someone like me who draws while rotating the page in every direction.
Except I use SAI for that (not only faster but also there's less lag on the tablet itself too so I get better lines).

I also need a new wardrobe, or at least to stop dressing in the same clothes i wore when i was 17-18 >_> But i kind of hate those clothes at forever21 and the hipster-esque stuff chicks are wearing.

Yeah! that's what real men wear!
I usually wear all kinds of geeky clothes, marvel, dc, the goon, star wars all that kind of shirts, mixed with fancy-pants and fancy-jackets I fit in everywhere! except in society!

Yay!

Ok, I bought CS3 again, it should be sent to me in a couple of days, maybe using a legal version will stop it from crashing all the time…

Beer before lunch is a good idea… it tastes great with cornflakes!
It's not that I really need it but it beats going to the supermarket for milk…

Current feelings…

Anxious! The list for AP history 11 goes up tomorrow and I'm scared to see the results.
Defeated! The boy can't got to the mixer on Friday cause he has track early on Saturday.
Cock blocked! See above.
Hopeful! He says he wants to go with me to the one in May so more likely I've just been cock delayed.
Scheeved out! After typing it twice, I realize I really hate the word cock. Ugh, there it is again.
Bright! Nothing tremendously bad or dramatic has happened to me this week, so things are finally starting to look up! :)

What kinda fancy pants we talkin? Dare I say, this kind?

Had a rather nice sleep last night. Well… 'til I dreamed that I was paralyzed in bed and a camel spider crawled into my mouth… ew…

Now that I think about it, OzoneOcean has 4 syllables so it's twice as great a name for a horse. I mean… the horse, galloping at speed, its main in the wind, flowing… like an OzoneOcean. So at least for a videogame horse it works. :)

I remember a long time ago, while in line at a bank I was talking to a friend of mine about the local coc… er… Fighting Chicken Tournaments. Yeah… I avoid using that particular word because some old lady started calling me some kind of freak for talking about a contest only men could enter. I liked the way she thought… I guess my mind wasn't as far deep in the gutter as hers…

Haha, I am terrible at this. I am the kind of person who buys something and then uses it til it wears out, which applies to my clothes as well. A co-worker (in a joking way, but seriously) was giving me a hard time about my wearing the same fleece jacket every day for the last year and a half. So I showed her. I dug out a black courderoy one that was even older and wore that next time. :smug: Then I dug out an actually more decent black fitted jacket I'd bought 2 years ago and never bothered to wear because I needed to lint roll it badly. And to match the 'new' jacket I bought like six new shirts for £30 at asda because I am all about cheap, simple clothes. I can dress up a t-shirt, dammit, don't judge me. Apparently it only costs £4 and a different jacket to get 'a whole new me.' See? I'm economical.

Still fanboying about that volcano. The volcano response unit are now allowing the public to climb the mountain at their own risk. Many people are doing it and we're getting lots of pictures from it. I have to say that those are some pretty freaking sweet pictures.

Here's a flyby video of the volcano.

I'm seriously tempted to attempt the climb.

see if you get the joke…

It was my girlfriend's birthday today. Was really sappy and lovey dovey. :)

When it comes to what I wear I need funny t-shirts, weird sweaters, the best sweatshirts, and jeans. I look sexy, no?

Really wasn't that hard to figure out.

But seriously. How cool are freaking volcanoes? (no pun intended)

I hadn't drawn anything today… other than a few character sketches.
Got the script revised, partially rewritten and I managed to compact it a little. Went for 8-10 panels per page on average (one page has 13!) and changed the ending… so now I know how he main character looks like, all I need to do is to come up with some futuristic clothing (but not too "star trek", haha) and I'm ready to go. A 14 pager should be short enough to finish it before the 5th, if I work hard enough.

That's pretty much me. I've been wearing the same 3 hoodies since 8th grade. I'm now in my junior year of college. Those hoodies have survived being used for hundreds of nights of painting, a year and a half worth of logging, a couple months of working in a warehouse, and now almost a year of working as a maintenance tech for my school. I bought a new fleece almost a year ago and only just started wearing because I was so afraid of destroying it. I think my fears were justified though. I've already gotten green acrylic paint all over it.

Get thee behind me Satan! :gem:

Man… When I painted, I trained myself to be scrupulously careful. Later, when I wasn't a student anymore and I had my own studio, I'd be wearing a $500 coat and not get a speck on it.

…but I've still got old cream cable knit jumpers with faded stains on the cuffs from oil paint that wouldn't quite wash out.

See, I'm sort of my mom's Barbie doll in some respect, so I'm constantly getting new clothing out of the blue. I don't really tend to buy it myself, since I'll come home from school one day and find she bought me an outfit for no apparently reason. Last time it was a dress for a party, a really nice shirt, a polka dot skirt, and a pair of red shoes that she saw and thought I'd like. I don't mind, though, it's all really nice and she's better at dressing me than I am. Like I've said before, I'd wear dresses everyday if I could. It's just easier. XP

I either throw my stuff out or donate it to a charity after two years. Only certain things stick around, like hoodies and stuff I don't leave the house in. Though a lot of my stuff has gotten too big on me since the sudden weight loss to the point that I started freaking out and crying last Friday because I had to go somewhere and nothing was working. I hate those days.

Nice to know I'm not the only one with lavish taste! B)

I watched that fantastic mr.fox movie and really enjoyed it. I love when animated movies do something different, and not some structured hollywood plot where they just put in talking toys or some strange setting. But anyways it was fun to watch.

I did a comic page today and…not much else. :/

Wasn't my fault. Somebody got it all over the conference room table where we meet for class project briefs and I set my sketchbook in it without knowing and then picked it up and ended up with it all over the fleece when I went to open it in my lap.

There's something to be said for being the last guy out of the studios it would seem. One of the administrators of the school walked by looking for illustrators to put into an exhibition of the school's talent and I got first dibs as a result of being the only one in the studios. So far I've only shared the opportunity with 3 other people, and I'm thinking I might just leave it at that since the deadline is 10 am tomorrow anyway. I've got a self promo piece and a 40" x 26" poster I'm planning on submitting.
