My dad's had really crappy skin these past few years, like his hands are constantly blistered and bloody because his skin rips like paper (gloves apparently make it worse as he has a tough time taking them off) It might be because of the agent orange they sprayed in nam-he's probably gonna collect money off it.
May as well with that awful healthcare bill they just passed. i'm starting to get the paranoia over our gov, it's like they dont want us to have any free will anymore.. or at least imagine we dont.

May as well with that awful healthcare bill they just passed. i'm starting to get the paranoia over our gov, it's like they dont want us to have any free will anymore.. or at least imagine we dont.LOL
Healthcare for the poor, that a lot of people support is a hell of a lot better than forcing the country into a war that almost no one wanted.
On the scale of "no free will", "oppressive government,"government that makes bad decisions and cost taxpayers trillions of dollars" the last guys weigh quite a lot more heavily than the current bunch. ;)
…that's just my take on it though, I could be wrong. :)
Wow… Just enjoyed a simple salad. Shredded lettuce and cheese covered in croutons and ranch dressing. I want balsamic vinegar in it too but the stuff's too expensive.
I'm starting to enjoy some of those Geico commercials. I'm still in the dark as to where the lizard is actually from, though… my favorite is where the guy asks us "Did the Caveman invent fire?" at which point a modern caveman sitting with his girlfriend picks up a remote and ignites a fireplace in the background…

1.Poor people must be insured too
2. We're still in war, and probably not pulling out soon. It's not like all the garbage left with bush so i dont get where you're going with this 'current bunch'.
3. A lot of people wanted to finish up business in iraq after 911, just no one thought it'd take this long and this much money.
4. The healthcare reforms sound very nice on the surface but the long run doesn't look good for debt.
I'm just worried because 2014 is around the time i'll be making a life, but hey i'm just a worrywort apparently and shouldn't question things.
Wow… Just enjoyed a simple salad. Shredded lettuce and cheese covered in croutons and ranch dressing. I want balsamic vinegar in it too but the stuff's too expensive.Haha, it's stuff like cheese, croutons and ranch that ruin salads for me. (Not to mention that for me, they kind of defeat the purpose of eating something healthy.) Balsamic vinegar is great though, it's not too expensive and you don't need much because it's so flavourful.
Oddly enough I have been eating a lot of salads lately, when normally I'm not even a salad-eating person. Whatever it is about them is just really satisfying right now. My usual salad:
romaine, spinach, or some other non-iceberg green
shredded carrot, some red cabbage, lots of red peppers
slices of beetroot or cucumber if I have it
one or two boiled eggs chopped up
kidney beans or chickpeas
balsamic or other vinegar dressing
if I'm feeling dangerous I'll add some black olives
All that makes a big plate of salad that takes a while to eat and, for whatever reason, makes me happy.
My other favorite salad is something I cobbled together from leftovers once and have been making since:
watercress or baby spinach, chopped up
cucumber
grapes, halved or quartered (depending on my patience)
about 30g light feta cheese
rasperry vinagrette
which makes a nice fruity, greek sort of salad :]
Then again I also enjoy eating things like tofu, soya, fake chicken and bulgar wheat, so I'm probably food crazy.
1.Poor people must be insured too1. I cooould be wrong, but apparently this makes the whole healthcare thing a little bit fairer…
2. We're still in war, and probably not pulling out soon. It's not like all the garbage left with bush so i dont get where you're going with this 'current bunch'.

2&3. Being "in" war is irrelevant. What matters is the morns who put you there- because getting OUT of a war is almost impossible, but not getting into on in the first place is piss easy… as easy as not invading someone for made up reasons.
4. Government runs up billions in debt anyway, whatever they do, better some of it is actually spent on the actual population for once instead of just going to massive corporations in subsidies and payments.
Never fear, in 2014 America will still be the same as it always is, the guff about Healthcare is a moronic scare campaign. How do I know? Most of the other first world countries in the world has it and their populations from the poorest to richest are better off.
——————-
Sorry Skull, it's just that there's so much miss-information and outright scare terrorism going on about this American healthcare stuff- against all logic (when we know it works all over the world), and it's so weird to me that these so called "activists" were so silent when the last government was doing the REAL evil stuff. They're either idiots, or just rather unscrupulous and selectively forgetful.

Salad sux >.<
Unless it's fired in butter!
I usually wear all kinds of geeky clothes, marvel, dc, the goon, star wars all that kind of shirts, mixed with fancy-pants and fancy-jackets I fit in everywhere! except in society!
What kinda fancy pants we talkin? Dare I say, this kind?
No, like this!

———————————————————-
Salads are lethal, everybody that ever ate a salad will die. It's true, Some people die too when they never ate any salad but they are the exceptions…

I got ketchup on my new deathnote shirt…
I'm gonna spend two hours washing it now… …
Meh, that's what moms are for!
So i got put on the healthcare topic in debate class xP I'm the affirmative too so that's kind of interesting, i feel better about it since talking with my teammates.
I'm also going to be a judge in this speech festival. It can be anyone from grade 3 to high school so i wonder who i'll get…
Still ticked off my laptop has so many problems, gonna have to take it in again :'(
Nothing happened…
No not really. This 1337 master's life is pretty "exciting". In other words the dumbest stuff can amuse the simple minded ones.
*has to think hard about what he was actually going to say…*
Thought I caught another page bug but it turned out to be nothing but wrong coding or something like that.
My friend finally finished a story he's been workingon for AGES. I'm proud of him and reading it right now.
Found my new favorite tv channel. It's called chiller TV. Plays horror flicks. It's Stephen King week this week.
"but wait there's more!
no theres not really any more…"
doo be doo be doo bah! x2
…completely unrelated…

True, cheese and croutons aren't always good for salads. But it's great for fiber and that's all I've got on hand at the moment to put in my salad. It bothers me that people hate salads, though. Especially certain members of my family who tell me "they don't eat grass"…
The topic of healthcare reform… I'd rather steer clear of it as far as this forum is concerned. A couple months back I mentioned it while playing a trial MMORPG and found myself in a sea of flames. I'd prefer that this forum didn't end up like the lake of fire that was. O_O
Well… time to make breakfast. My favorite… really fatty turkey tails deep fried in animal lard. (just kidding… I'm not suicidal)

So I made AP history! ^_^
But there's a downside. This girl I really hate and always seem to be competing with got in too and honestly had no right getting in. I was originally really excited because she didn't make it at first but she was able to talk the teacher into letting her in (and by talk I mean cried until they agreed to give her a shot). I WAS upset until I heard the story about how it went down.
The one teacher basically told her that she was lazy and a bad writer (two things she always used to accuse me of being back when we were friends) and basically they're only letting her in out of pity but they don't trust she'll do well. Yet I got in without a hitch and some girl that didn't even do the writing prompt got in as well! It might mean we have all the same classes next year, but I'm not scared of her anymore. Obviously she's not as superior as she likes to pretend she is and I'm starting to think her being there is the only thing promoting me to try harder. Just to prove her wrong after she used to treat me like her dumb toady.
I personally feel like they're probably screwing her over by putting her in. She already struggles enough, didn't get honors at all this year. The only reason I'm taking AP classes on at all is because I've never -not- had honors since grade school and have had first honors this whole year and still I had second thoughts what with tennis and my comic. It's not like it's effortless, I've been busting my ass to do better, while she spends all her time on Skype talking behind people's backs and fawning over a boy that clearly doesn't like her.
Not only that but she's going to be the straw man of the class because she's a shameless Obama-worshiper. Not even an intelligent, well informed liberal. Just a straight out worshiper of everything that man does and the AP teacher is not only a good friend of the teacher who didn't want her getting in, but a flaming conservative. I'm center right if anything, but at least I'd be willing to accept his point of view where she'll constantly be picking a fight and bitching about him. If she had just taken regular, 20th century history she would have gotten more of the liberal point of view with the progressive era and the Vietnam war, but she just cried her way head first into the opposing party. Once again, if she was actually politically aware she would do just fine, but she doesn't stand a chance against him if she doesn't get an opinion outside of "Obama is my God."
None of this will matter in 5 years, I'm sure, but It's nice to know I'm not as stupid as she used to make me feel day in and day out in freshman year. :)

Ya'gotta love school!
Okay, pay attention now:
YOU are NOT stupid!
Everybody should be told that once a day. I usually tell myself I'm talented every morning, it doesn't make me feel any better anymore but it's a ritual now, I have a lot of those.
I have only one guy in school that I really don't like, not for obvious reasons like him being mean or stupid or smelly but for one really important reason:
He brings me bad luck. He was present at every crash, bluescreen, explosion or program failure I have ever had in school with my lappy…
Think about it like this, Grace. If she's as "lazy" as you seem to describe her and she's still got that "arrogant" attitude, think of how sweet it will be (possibly bittersweet) when you both finish with you leaving her behind… FAR behind. If you somehow manage to befriend her though, you could encourage her to push her self to and over her "self imposed" limits and make her a better person than she is now. :)
*sigh* if only we humans didn't have some of our weaknesses… the ones that prevent us from creating a utopia and being a peaceful society that's always ready to go to war to protect ourselves. However, the things that make us greedy, corrupt and paranoid are also the very things that helped us survive so I doubt we'll be seeing any kind of peaceful resolution to the world's problem anytime soon. It would probably take something that threatens the world with extinction as a whole before we all band together and throw aside our differences. But even then there are die-hards who will continue to insist that they're better than everyone else. Man, what a world. It kinda makes me depressed. Also makes me wish I was a kid again as I didn't have a care in the world back then. It's all probably wishful thinking, I bet.
*sigh* if only we humans didn't have some of our weaknesses… the ones that prevent us from creating a utopia and being a peaceful society that's always ready to go to war to protect ourselves.
Speak for yourself!
I have no weaknesses…
Except comics, they prevent me from making the world a Me-topia.

Especially certain members of my family who tell me "they don't eat grass"…I'm afraid there is no fibre in dairy products, Lonne :] Fun fact, iceberg lettuce is also useless as a source of any kind of nutrition even though people think of salads as healthy. (Dark greens are better, eat them instead)
Myself (and probably others) don't like salad because they think it's boring. I just learned you have to put lots of good stuff in it, like tuna or beans or fruit pieces or something. Salad dressing is awful which is why I found nice vinegars! Mmmm vinegars
There are a number of people in my family who are hitting some bad health points because they just don't want to give up ice cream, or red meat, or salt, or whatever. It's funny how someone else's troubles in that respect can have more of an impact on you than on them, the sufferer. (Not that they think they're suffering, probably.)
I have used parentheses in every paragaph in this post (and in this one too).
I have used parentheses in every paragaph in this post (and in this one too).Welcome to my world ;-; (i have no clue where i picked this up either)
My cat is trying to steal my necklace again, and i also lost my wallet the other day. *gasp*could it be–!! D8<<
But seriously i need to find my wallet >_>
Edit: it was behind my computer desk…
so i get out of work, and my tire's low. no biggie, it's been happening every 4 days…too slow to find the leak, but not fast enough to go out and replace it. stop by the gas station for free air. pump up the tire. good to go. get home, close the garage door, and i hear "hissssssssss" being hopeful, i started looking/smelling for a gas leak. it lead me to my back tire. the one that was low earlier….i try to look for it. behind the tire. on top. so to feel the hole i have to back the car up. back it up, find it. a massive hold behind the tire.
i dont know if that's where it had been leaking, and just got mad and blew up, or if it was new all together. but i had to go out and buy tires tonight. 2 weeks ahead of schedule. and no, cheap tires don't fit my car.
So i had to get the low end tires, because i didn't have the 2 weeks extra to save up for the super awesome tires i was saving up for. oh well, i guess that extra money that was supposed to go there, can replace the emergency funds i spent today.
ha, and my wife was wondering why i was hording up. i knew a day like today would come. lets hope another one doesn't come for a while.
Myself (and probably others) don't like salad because they think it's boring. It IS.
I think salad is best when it's accompanying something else, because then it adds to the flavour, character, and texture of that other thing- a piece of fish, Chicken breast, steak, fired eggplant… etc.
There's a lot to be said for that traditional approach, especially when the composition of the salad is thoughtfully chosen to match the main food.- bits of orange and bean sprouts for fish? Peppery lettuce can work nicely with steak and so on.
Mixing something through salad just makes me want to pick out those yummy bits and ignore the rest. :(
But it's all about personal taste :)

Our Store is almost done! \^_^/
Then it will be time for DD people to flood in a break it into bits and Skool and I (and hopefully the mods too), will be running around posting the same answers in a million different complaint threads… :(
"Yes, we KNOW there's a problem, there are news posts about it, five other threads in this part of the forum alone and at least 18 elsewhere, we can't do anything right now but our programmer is working on it!"
I can see that in the future.
lulz…i can't see right now. i had my eyes dilated. now everything close up is blurry….and light is destroying my very soul.
first answer to your question. because american keyboards have everything in the same place they've had them as long as i've been typing. on top of that i've had this keyboard for a good 4 years now. so it's pretty much muscle memory for everything…
typed, but not read:

Ooh, two things… discovered another 1-page comic that needs to be relettered and recolored (and partially inked). That shall extend my buffer by half a week, yay.
Meanwhile I have pencilled first three pages of the new 14-pager. Now, when I say pencilled, I mean ugly doodles in a notebook that are just meant to denote the rough location of the figures on the page layouts. Going to be inking from that later, haha. That should be fun.
In NON-COMIC news, calling about the job interview on monday again. I really hope I can get the job, cause I'm broke like… I'm so broke I can't even come up with anything funny. (of course, once I get the job I'll have difficulty drawing regularly so I need to finish this thing within 2 weeks or less… damn, there I go talking comics again, haha).
