Mr Boombastic!
One of the all time best songs EVER.

I used that music for a 3D vid I made years ago… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ikPIlbUCWw NSFW :)

-Femmebot deserves her own series. :(

Now that I think about Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, to get a calf you need a bull, a cow, and a potion. Why do you need a potion to get a calf? Well… It just occurred to me that the potion might be vi..ag… er… a mood enhancing potion!!! Talk about getting stuff through the radar. And why does a bull have a green heart if you try milking it?!? O_O

I managed to get a new mindset about life. I was always assuming the worst, negative, depressed, stuff like that (this all occured pretty much over the time I wasn't active, and wasn't making comics).

Yesterday, my computer decides to break down. I thought, hey, maybe it's a virus. So I go to run one of my many anti-virus programs, they automatically close out. I don't really rage, I'm just more disappointed.

I try to go to bed early last night, I get about an hour of sleep, and then can't fall back asleep for an hour.

And then I wake up to have a cold, and I'm sore practically all over.

Yet, I'm still positive, and still happy.

My only problem now lies in my projects. I have so many to work on, it's just a matter of time management, and inspiration. Honestly? I think if I get a little done on my website at a time, it'll come out better, instead of me forcing myself to work on it. So I think I'll try just a bit harder, but not exactly force myself.

Then I have a bunch of unstarted comics, unfinished ones, and then Ryu's Krew. Ryu's Krew is an entirely different story .__.

Ever since you've been posting here you've been hyper positive. Initially it irked me a little bit, but now I really admire it. :)
I want to be more like that ^_^

Calling about job interview = "please call next week, we might know more then"… argh

Working on comics = 5 pages of loose pencils yesterday, none today so far but I have only three to go… and then scanning all 14

food = I got some milk, that's all… does milk count as food or only as a drink? are drinks food? I mean, soups are food, so you can drink food… does milk even count as a drink or is it in its own thing? neither drink nor food…

I think that either means theyre not interested or theyre finalizing the choices.
And i always counted soup as a drink. I mean. If it can be put into a cup and drank its a drink. Although by that logic that makes bleach a drink.

===================================================================

I have a choice of

1. Going up town and buying some art supplies and grabbing lunch.

or

2. Staying in bed all day.

This.
Number 2 is easy, but boooooring. You'll likely feel better at the end of the day after Number 1.

Urgh. What the hell is it with web designers? Why do they insist on making a site run entirely by Flash? I have Flashblocker for a reason. Flash is annoying most of the time. I do not want to be treated to sound effects whenever I roll over something on your page. I do not want to be given 3 different videos to watch loading upon opening the page, and I definitely don't want your portfolio to open in an "interactive" display that requires that I click through each side of an image to get to the next. What I want, is to get on, look at your work quickly in an overview and pick one or two to look at closer without having to wait for it to be opened in some pain-in-the-ass little slide show viewer. And if I wanted to be listening to an awesome soundtrack, I would put in my own copy of something. You don't need to let me hear that awesome new track from Tegan and Sara that you totally just got bootleg like last week, because the bourgeois capitalist man has to like wait to release it in Europe first.

Seriously. Flash is fine for small applications. Stop making the whole motherf**king page in it.

So very true. Flash is good for limited stuff, but not for taking away control of our viewing/using experience, which is why a lot of commercial sites are starting to suck very hard- especially movie sites. HTML5 is in the same F***ing category: altering my right click menu so I can only do the limited crap some designer thinks is all I need to do? UGH! >_<

Blargh. Overslept this morning so I have a massive headache now. Since I don't have school I would normally just wait it out but I have to pack. And everytime I move it's like BOOMBOOMBOOM. So far tylenol and a shower hasn't helped. :(

I knew I'd regret not getting a Flight of the Conchords CD yesterday. Should've got it instead of the Nirvana one.

Have to go finish an essay. That's fun. It's on Shakespearean Authorship, authorshit as I like to unconciously type as my title. I could kinda CARE LESS.

Drama club's got lot's of drama going down. I'm predicting the last shit'll hit the fan in a few days. NOT GOOD.

You drink any water? Usually if advil doesn't fix my headache it's because i need water. I live in a dry climate though.

Haha…i get 3 more pages of an old comic done and then i get a good idea for a new one. Damn it :( i see a pattern in what i'm doing and yet i don't stop it.
No…no dang it i'm going to finish this comic and i'm going to like it :gem: And i'm just going to work on the plot of the 8th comic and not actually draw it :gem: And then i'm going to drink a soda with a straw :gem:

EDIT:dad drank all the sodas…

I am hoping that trend goes bye-bye with the new touchphones never planning to fully support flash.

Water usually fixes headaches, but breaks my galvanized water pipes. Gotta put in another coupler… ugh…

Last night I wondered what that mushy feeling was when I pulled out of my driveway. This morning I felt that mushy feeling under my front tire again and found…. a HUGE Brown Tree Snake, all nice coiled up…. and flattened. I guess Darwin chose me to do his dirty work; no animal is stupid enough to sleep under a car tire that's still attached to a running vehicle.

All pencils done, scanned, pasted into the template and tweaked if necessary (screwed up panel sizes on one page and had to shift things + there are two repeat panels too)… so hooray, inking coming up next… I'll see how well the inking does with pencils that raw.

As for the job interview… the thing is the job is short term. Couple of months total, so that they can build a whole bunch of monitors and lcd tvs for the fall-winter shopping madness season, and I guess this year they haven't started hiring yet. They will, but according to a friend who's in some other department of the company, it got delayed a little… how little is little, I don't know, but I guess I have to keep calling.

Right now I am going to bed though.

Healthcare tip: got trouble brushing your teeth regularly? Find a toothpaste that tastes good :D
Since I bought this Lemon toothpaste (which is kinda sweet tasting), I haven't missed one brushing!

I have borrowed a stack of Jon Sable, Freelance comics from a friend. Great stuff by Mike Grell. It's not the entire run though, so once I run out of these, I'll have to ask for more. I think he's expecting the package with the rest.

*drifts away to the bed*

Headaches and stuff: water and tea are my medicine. Water for when I'm feeling kinda crappy (whether weak or dizzy or headachey) and tea is for any stomach problems… VERY strong tea, strongest I can make, followed by a second glass of just as strong but slightly less hot and then after about half an hour a third, normal, warm tea. Helps almost every time :D

Coffee seems to have some positive effect. Caffeine helps to dilate blood vessels apparently, which helps. :)
They even add it to most headache medications in the UK.

I don't know if water will help most types of headaches unless your headache is due to dehydration.
Tea…? It can calm you down a bit, help you get comfortable. It's a lot gentler to the stomach than coffee, but it wont work the way coffee will on your head.

Ha, well Flash is cool, as long as it doesn't dominate the entire user experience. :)

Wow… finally woke up and pulled that dead snake out from under my car (it was coiled up which made things easier). That thing was pretty thick… close to a little more than half the width of a standard CD/DVD. Luckily I pulled it out before it started stinking up the place. Now the one question on my mind is… why would a snake choose the underside of my car's tire to curl up and sleep? I mean… I know their brains are tiny and simple and such, but I never thought there was an animal that was actually THAT stupid… (and since it's a BIG snake by brown tree snake standards, it's gotta be at least 6-9 years old)…

I guess it's possible that the snake was on its last legs and chose the underside of my car tire to die, though…

Now here's something I'd like to know… I remember long ago hearing this from a history teacher… Something about how Napoleon said that George Washington would be like him… a man with power who will never let it go. At this point (I don't remember what he said) George Washington rebukes Napoleon and simply goes back to his civilian life after his second presidential term. Not sure if this is all true or not, but I'd like to believe so. :)

All I really have to say to that is, it just takes some time to clear your head, and then focus on your goals/wants.

But now I'm home, sick.

LISTEN TO ME.

that method won't work.

LISTEN TO ME

It's like I'm in the middle of a freaking hurricane right now. You know those pictures of New Orleans after Katrina hit? We got that type of flooding here in New England. It's freaking crazy. I mean I only just got out of school and the roads were terrible and the school was out of control.

I mean why the hell did we have to go anyway?!

That's it…

EDIT: Statement is cleaner and less of a "What the hell!?" statement.

I would accept the position on the conditions that I be given one of those snazzy white coats that makes everyone think you're a doctor, and a giant scalpel, but I must not be asked why.

I am hoping that trend goes bye-bye with the new touchphones never planning to fully support flash.
Maybe Steve Jobs really does have a good reason for that and he's just trying to save us from the godawful horror of it.
