the dog is sick, and the wife forgot to put her out last night… i spent the morning cleaning instead of doing my normal cruise of the internet.
also, the puppies reek. i think it's that new milk replacement we got to try and ween them from their mother. i think that way, cause it smells like the stuff, only worse.

Sick has gone away but I am so freaking tired.
Dude, it's almost summer. I could have sworn it was Christmas a week ago. Probs cause I had the odd urge to listen to Christmas music. Am I the only one who gets those urges?Man, you get a bitchin new avatar every week. I especially like this one.
And I agree, the 5 or so months from Christmas to now have been quick. For me, it was the 5 snow days all timed correctly to make the chosen breaks and holidays seem longer. And I hate Christmas music.
Had that weird dream again. The one where I've setup a "green" power generation system outside my house
for all my power needs. So now that I generate all my own power using solar and wind technology I'd
save money, right? Not in this dream…
I'm visited by government officials and power company people. They tell me they just passed a new law
concerning "green" technology. Basically, I have to pay for licenses in order to use "green" technology.
The license fee is a monthly thing and is determined by how much power I've used. And if I have extra
and don't put it on the "grid", I pay extra for the unused power. All of the fees end up costing three
times as much as my normal power bill.
If only I knew where my brain comes up with these things. I guess I've still got that one time in the
back of my mind… I did ask a local senator what would happen if everyone started using solar power
to save money. He told me if everyone did that they'd find a way to charge you for it. -_-
Should be revising for my super important exam tomorrow.

this is similar to an orson scott card short story. one giant company generates all the power and congress passed a bill that says you have to be on their power. basically making people ration power, because they can't afford it.
That's part of the story, but not the main focus. pretty good read…but i can't remember what it's called.
the dogs smell like vomit. which in turn has my gag reflex going. i think it's hose time. (don't worry i'm not going to spray them with a hose, we have a modified shower nozzle to give dogs baths)
orson scott cardHe's a good writer, but many of his stories seem to have naked kids in them somewhere, or kids having sex with adults… I can't be the only one who noticed that. When I did, it put me off him. :(
Like Stephen Donaldson- great writer, but in every story/series I've read by him a woman character is either raped, or there's a graphic attempted rape. Once or twice you can forgive, but not every story. T_T
-In his book of short stories "Daughter or Regals" only one of the stories has an attempted rape, but it is the title story.
-Not a criticism of you Seventy or your reading taste, I hasten to add! Not in any way. That's just a rant inspired by the mention of the author name.

That's better. The sound quality of the commercial vid is nicer, but the visuals are so dammed generic it ruins the song. This rougher live version is better overall.

think im going to submit something to 2000 A.D. i dont think i'll be accepted off the bat, but i'd like to start submitting things to companies. they also have some tips on their submission page, which is good, things i'd like to practice a bit more.

And someone in my class today faked that he took some Viagra and got a wicked bad erection from it. He pretended to go to the nurse and not even I knew what was really happening. He comes back his, hand greased with white hand sanitizer. That was when he broke it to everyone. Hilarious but WOW…didn't get in trouble either.

Now for the ranting part.
New day job = paaaaain!
Well, I can't complaint THAT much… I got assigned to packaging and was lucky enough to end up on the machine that seals the boxes with tape. So my job is just to look into the box, see if everything's put in the right way (the set, the remote, cables, manual and whatnot must be in place), then to close the flaps and while holding them, move the box in the right way onto the machine.
Easy… but that means 8 hours on foot.
The first day we were doing small 22inch tv sets so I had to bend a lot. My back was in agony… second day it was a bit easier but there were moments when it was heavy (and during the last hour we managed to do 130 sets).
Yesterday though we were doing Toshiba Regza 40inch… bastard huge boxes, so my arms are tired, plus I had to stretch out forward to see inside the box, so I kept on pushing my knees against the side of the assembly line… result? PAAAAAIN!
Lucky I have a bus back home that brings me within less than a 100meters from where I live (and I live on the ground floor) so I somehow managed to get back.
Another thing = the whole building is so huge, it takes 5 minutes to get from one end to another. Luckily I have my routes memorized, so I was late back from the break only on the first day and managed to do everything yesterday in 14 minutes. Everything meaning: walk through the entire hall (cause there's only one exit and entrance and you can't go the other way), climb two floors up, hit the locker rooms, eat breakfast, go down to the toilet and get back through the entire lenght of the building again into the hall.
Oh well, it's only a couple of months most likely (I doubt they'll want to extend our time there after the massive amount of orders ends). Now I have to get ready though so I'll rant some more tomorrow!
