the only time i ever realize i'm dreaming, is when i'm having a nightmare. Even then, i spend the whole nightmare doing what my subconscious wants me to do, while i try to force myself awake. Happens about 2-3 times a month.
Most of my dreams (not just nightmares) get so real, that when i wake up, i'm confused as to how i got home, and swear that i'm now dreaming. I think i've been incepted.

It's officially called lucid dreaming, I believe, and I've always kind of wondered what the hype is. I've been just like Ozone, capable of controlling most of my dreams from a very young age. I wonder if it's just incredibly difficult for someone to learn this talent, hence the hype?

I would suspect that the real difficulty might be related to people's tendency to wake up once they realize they're dreaming. What might seem like a whole dream (or like the 4-6 'scenarios' I had) probably only takes a few seconds. I think most people have "hey I'm in a dream, what if- nope, now I'm awake" moments.

I've been drinking too much coffee lately, I can't help it, an iced coffee in the afternoon when the weather is nice is so… nice. :[ But it's destroying my sleep schedule. You wouldn't think that a 3pm coffee would keep me up til 3am, but it does!

It might have something to do with ones conciousness during a dream? That's the basis of Lucid dreaming, you're a sleep, but not asleep, you're concious and can change what's happening. Whereas, poor people like myself who don't have this ability (*Shakes fist in Ozone's and Ally Haert's general direction*) are just completely unconcious of what's happening and therefor can't really change it.

if… that makes any remote sense whatsoever.

Currently I decided to colour a doodle I did some weeks ago in my sketch book on GIMP. I'm always trying to make it look like those fantastic digital pieces I see around the place done on various photoshop models with various drawing tablets.

While I struggle and break my fingers with a mouse on GIMP to achieve anythng remotely similar to those artworks. Never really works out, to be honest. I'll have to put up a picture on here later to show you all.

I hate fighting with friends. : [

:( So do I. Worst feeling ever.

————-

Remember that post I made about currently sitting down and colouring a sketch on Gimp about an hour and a bit ago?

Here's the result:

Turned out slightly better than expected. Gotta love Victorian fashion, where hair was sculpted for maximum flippiness, and sideburns were all the rage. It's a doodle of a character that's kinda been forming in my head for the past couple of months. If anyone is familiar with the play Othello, its the sexy Victorian version of Iago.

Bitchin'.

Despite far too much slacking this week, I'm still two days ahead of schedule on my portfolio pieces. Good stuff.

I'm feeling very irritable today, though. My little sister stole my ipod charger earlier today. When I found out(after noticing it was missing and searching for it), I just said Fine, but put it back in my room right away. Of course now she's gone to bed and it's nowhere to be found. And it's at 20% battery. Normally I wouldn't be terribly happy with her, but I'm feeling very PO'd about it right now.
Maybe I'm working too much. Don't get a day off 'til next friday…I still haven't seen Thor, and I was so excited for that to come out.

Drew an eye liner moustache and monicle on my face today for the hell of it, and took photos of self in the garden drinking out of a china tea cup and saucer while wearing my chimney sweep hat. Hello new facebook profile picture.

What of it?

You're missing a beard…

Well, my programming has lurched a bit forward. I'm back at the level I was at before I quit (due to cerebral meltdown)… I have sprites that can shoot on screen. Now I have to organize my code or my brains will melt down again…

As for the game I'm planning on making, I'm still trying to decide on either making Minna (Magiversity's main character) the only playable character or to include other DD characters as both PCs and cameos. As for the story… some star shaped aliens are trying to take over the various Drunkduck universe and replace the comics with cheap knockoffs starring themselves. So you might see a mecha piloting star creature with pink hair as a boss armed with a flame rifle, a star creature attempting to impersonate Skoolmunkee, star creatures posing as valkyries, and two more Star Creature bosses impersonating the Viking dieties in an organic stage taking place inside someone's head… :)

Yes… the word "organic" is linked to the TV Tropes page titled "womb level"…

Hopefully if I can keep this up (IF…) I will be able to create the editors that will make creating shooter type games easier. I'm also studying other games to see how objects behave so I can create the so called "bullet hell" shooter… essentially a game where you have to dodge an entire screen full of bullets. Unlike the others, though the hitbox for the player won't be tiny… it'll be as close to the player sprite size as much as possible. I really hate those bullet hell shooters where the hitbox for the player sprite is only 1 pizel wide…

wow… I'm on my fourth cup of coffee… 30 minutes 'til I have to leave for work… the stress of payday tomorrow is getting to me. O_O

Last night on my way home from a friend's, I saw a crashed car, a burning building, and a bunch of emergency service workers.

I only recently found out what that was all about.

When they say the guy's getaway drive was short they really mean it. He crashed the car maybe two or three houses from the fire.

Also, to add to his stupidity; there's a police station literally on the same road.

On a sewing kick this weekend. I'm finally going to put my new silver buttons on my pelisse. But first I cut all the pewter ones off and sewed them to the dolmen jacket. Up till 6am sewing on 32 buttons. Now it has a grand total of 82 buttons on it- 80 on the front and one on either shoulder! …Didn't really add that much to the look though. It dodn't look worse, but it doesn't look that different either -_-
Ah well, another 48 to go for the pelisse. kill me now.

I haven't done my college homework in like 3 weeks. It's a "do it at your own pace" type of class. except i can't do a lot at one time, as this is a class ran by the air force. And it is drull. It is absolutely mind numbing.
I still have two months tho.

In case you don't know. Another eruption just started, yesterday evening, in my country.

The culprit, this time, is the Grímsvötn crater; one of the most active fissure in the country but it has erupted over 10 times now, in the past 100 years.

Here's a picture taken couple of hours after the eruption started:

Normally, a Grímsvötn eruption is a rather small one. The 1998 and the 2004 eruptions only lasted couple of days, for example. However, this one has now been calculated to be over 10 times more powerful then the one we had last year, when the dreaded "unpronounceable" volcano lit up. Last time this particular volcano did anything that strong was in 1873, and that one lasted for 7 months.

Naturally, the British are concerned about not being able to fly their planes and are closely monitoring the predicted ash-cloud path.

As you can clearly see, they have discovered that we're obviously planing a very ingenious invasion on our Nordic brethren, and we'll be establishing a beach head on the opposite sides of the region very shortly, thus quickly enveloping their defenses.

Norway and Sweden both look like a big floppy cock with Finland as the nutsack…

No wonder your guys left for their own little colony. n_n
-No offence Scandinavia- We consider the geographical appearance of Aussie state of Tasmania as slang for a woman's bits ^^

And that's bed time for me.

I've fallen in love with these. They're text choose your own adventure and pretty clever. The dragon and romance ones are my favorites, the other two are okay…too much war mumbo jumbo though.

Why isn't that your new profile pic here? ^^

Because my face is frightening in large amounts. Just kidding, it will be soon, but I can't decide between it and two others where I'm holding a cup of tea.

I'm ticked off today beacuse last week was my exams, and the school's tyrannical Librarian confiscated my headphones which I had plugged into my school laptop so I could study in reletive peace, and gave me a detention for it, even though, as far as I'm aware, and everyone else including the teachers are aware, that isn't even a rule that can be broken, as I AM allowed to have them. She gave the me the detention on thursday Lunch, I rocked up to where its held, and waited. I waited twenty minutes, and no one came, I didn't have lunch and I missed out on valuable last minute cramming before my exam.

Why do librarians believe they are a respected member of staff? They're not, they run a goddamn library, they do not nede to come up with their own rules.

I'm still pissed, because I have to go up to the detention room yet AGAIN, today, because I "missed" the other one even though I had exams (wow). And I'm pretty damn sure no one is going to be there again and I'm going to get even more pissed then I already am.

Lawd, I cannot wait until I leave school. :/

by my senior year i just started skipping detention. Nothing ever came of it. I'd just be like "oh i forgot" and then i'd be rescheduled, and then someone "would die" and i'd miss it again. oh sigh. the good ol days. It's been 7 years since i graduated. I feel old.

MY PAGE DAMMIT. just thought i'd remind you.

I just raged myself awake. I had a dream that it was 1 april 2012. Which means i can crosstrain. i applied to retrain, and the guy on the other end of the phone said they had just changed the policy the day before. I couldn't crosstrain at all. I started yelling and screaming obscenities, and then i punched thru a desk. I woke up with my heart racing, and feeling really angry.

This thing means a lot to me, and has pretty much already made me decide to get out, if they keep acting this way.

I looked at this and thought Austria-Hungary? Of course oz would use a 1911 map of Europe.

1911, three more years and the lights will go out across Europe never to be relit in their lifetimes.

Now that was a real End of the World. The summer of 1914 really was the endtimes for an entire world like we've been trying to imagine ever since. But no world we've known can ever end so completely and irrecoverably as the world of 1914 was ended by the Great War.

Or I should stop reading Barbara Tuchman. ;)
