So yesterday I was in a sketch neighborhood in Durham NC, ridin' around with my friend and her neighbor lookin' for apartments for her to rent. (I feel the need to clarify I wasn't lookin' to score, k?) And we get out the car, she goes snoopin' around someone's house and I'm standin' there with neighbor dude. So he says to me, "I don't think she'd like it here- y'all gotta watch yourselves, I wouldn't roll up in here without me, even. This is the real deal, man. They bang up in here." Then he says to me, "You're lucky you're wearin' red- that's what they bang". (I had a red scarf on my head, and a piece of red cloth tied to my pants because- well, I just did.) To which I replied- "Goddamn, man- would you've let me get out the car if we was in a blue hood?" He assured me he wouldn't have.
C'mon, man. That's the kind of information I need to know! huh!?

I wanted to get Point Lookout, but Games for Microshit (haha see what I did there?) wouldn't accept my credit card, again. It always does this, and I always have to reenter it as a new card, but of course I can't find the fucker.
But it's not to bad, right? It's just a game, and it'd a good idea to leave buying it until I know whether it's bugged to all shit like the last three were anyway. So I'll do some work in the meantime! BUT NO! PHOTOSHOP IS BROKEN, HOO-FUCKING-RAY!
Why does this always happen? I actually, finally, decide to do some work, and something happens to prevent me from doing it. Now I remember why I never fucking bother trying any more.

The Brits as I mentioned have been issuing them since before WWII (they call them shemaghs) The Aussies have issued them since at least Vietnam. The pattern resemblance is not accidental. It actually is a keffiyeh but in subdued colors.
When you hit the ground in the Middle East those scarfs are everywhere in all kinds of colors. So inevitably you pick one up. I already had my arm sling so I didn't go for one.
Armored troops love them to keep out the dust and the wind burn just like that arm sling of mine. After Desert Storm every vet had a keffiyeh and now with all soldiers having done multiple tours in Iraq? They have drawers full of them.
When doing leaf collection I set up my arm sling as one to keep out all the dust and leaf debris. They thought I was an Arab. :)

I have the a page of Pinky TA fully drawn up, yet uncoloured. Took longer than it should dammit! I have to get this down to less than a week again! Grr :gem:

-Get a schedule going, even if it's fortnightly.

-Start monetising this crap in its own right. There's a lot of good material there for shirts, caps, posters, calenders whatever and yet I just let it moulder…

Just as when I'm getting sick and tired of my current office job, this is when a mass email from the CEO said that there's gonna be a possibility of staff cuts and work hours reduction.
Yeah right. If I know, they're only trying to make it look less bad than it is. Because carefully analyzing the wording of the email, instead of saying "staff cut", they say its an "opportunity" to take more vacation days. lol! That's probably only gonna fool people with an IQ below 100. But any person with a brain can see through that deceptive language.
If they're gonna layoff people, I just wanna volunteer to be the one instead of somebody else who is the lone breadwinner, has a wife and 3 kids.

Back then I hadn't been aware of that military trend. I just didn't want them to have conventional tank helmets, so I came up with something practical for desert wear, as well as providing a little padding…

I use it to keep the computer clean 'cause I hate it when browsers make useless caches (not that FF is half as bad about that as IE was), but it would totally prevent that from happening too, no?
I promise I am gonna do a newspost tomorrow morning (of stuff I should have posted Monday)… it's been a really long and tiring couple of days. I'm so tired I don't even feel like playing point lookout (well, I did for an hour and it is awesome).
My vacation is messed up again, more things I really should NOT miss (and now more reasons not to miss them)…. I was looking forward to being on holiday next week too. :[ It's only moved back a week, but STILL. I didn't want to me moving it around at ALL. That's what I get for taking a vacation and just staying home, I don't have the excuse of travel plans or money already spent.
I did win a university excellence award though (well, a team I am on did), and my annual job review went really well, and my important guy boss is apparently talking me up to others. So hopefully not getting fired anytime soon.
Bedtime now though.
wooowooooo. My birthday was on June 16th, and I was given 500 dollars on that day. that money combined with the rest of the money I had saved up…. well, it got me this brand-new sparkling PC! it's a 1000 gb hard drive, 10 ram PC with a samsung flat screen monitor.
I'm seriously in love with it right now ^^.
I'm totally loosing my work tempo… One day it's 2 pages (and half drawn third one), next day it's four (including the unfinished one from yesterday), the next day after that it's two pages (and third one half pencilled)… Good thing: including the unfinished one it's only 8 pages to the end of chapter 1. And then I just have to repeat the whole thing 10 and a half times (epilogue is much shorter than normal chapters).
Still, 31 pages are done. That's not bad. But I guess I'm spending too much time thinking on what I'm going to do afterwards, what other books I'll focus on.
A dream: I hope at some point I can achieve enough success to do this crazy book that I imagined… in A3 format :D

So my dad came home this morning with my mom. I stayed up until about 5 o clock in the morning, worrying sick about it. To make the story short, it's pretty much all good now. He just has to watch his blood pressure.

I keep getting German junk mail. It's really weird.For me it's French, sometimes German (which is spammier), but usually the French ads are for household items and things like that. The latest was for a special on a 3 night stay in a nice hotel in Morocco.

I only get junk phone calls from other countries. My Caller ID keeps listing a number in Ontario. I'm hoping none of you Canadians out there found my telephone listing 'cause if you did, leave a message next time, I might even return your call. lol!
So I started re-watching my tentacle sex DVDs… really inspiring for that soft-porn, grahic violence, exploitation, guilty pleasure comic I'm doing.
And the rewrite is almost done! Well at least the part in book 2, the rest of it is going to be a mother. But Asian martial arts will be fun to shoot and digitally edit.
I'm tryin' to see a few more people before I check outta this chapter of my life.
I just got back from seein' one buddy that, I swear to frickin' God, had a nervous breakdown when I was leaving. Like, bawlin' and stuff. I can't deal with crying. I can't take that crap seriously- I'm all makin' jokes and bein' absurd, and she's crying. I never know what to do about that.
I dunno. Saying "goodbye" is never that hard for me. I mean, I guess I have the attitude that it's never the last time, ya know? Even if it very well might be. I figure you spend time with people as if you'll never see them again- don't take 'em for granted, and whatnot- and say goodbye as if you're just duckin' out for a pack of smokes or somethin', and you'll be right back.

I used to be just like that, I'd crack jokes whenever it was a serious/sad moment to get out of dealing with the feelings. Later i'd wonder why none of my friends ever took my problems seriously or told me their's anymore. It's kinda painful but my relationship with people got a lot deeper and closer when i was being serious, i still crack jokes, just not at inappropriate times. I wish i'd have known this in high school heh
