Beautiful!
It's always been high on my list of places to go before you die - nobody writes songs like this about Clacton On Sea.

Well, ever make it there and I'll show ya around all proper-like. Steerin' clear of Bourbon and goin' to the real jazz clubs, dive bars, cool landmarks and little museums, and… the 100 year old haberdashery, or course!

Incidentally- nice avatar. :D

Clacton on the Sea isn't near the birthplace of a style of popular music.

New Jersey only has Bruce Springsteen and Southside Johnny. And once you've heard the album Born to Run you've heard every Bruce Springsteen song for the last 30 years.

It is near heresy for anyone in Jersey to say that isn't a good thing. ;)

So my guilty pleasure is dragging on and I'm ignoring my main comic even though it finally came up on the review forum. With an archive of 170 pages I might be safe if any new readers appear.

However, Changing scenes with Medieval Christians to Asian characters is easier than I thought. They don't talk nearly as much. lol!

Yeah, but ya featured a comic that I've been hollering for since its conception, so I'll forgive you.

I've been offered a job illustrating a children's book, but I have no idea how much money to ask for, GRRR!

Start with 'lots' and work your way to a more reasonable price from that.

How many illustrations? How complex? Color or B&W? How much creative liscense do you have with the material?

All that would make a difference for me. Last time I did somethin' like that, I charged about $10/drawing (for 50 rather complex illustrations)… that was not near enough! Would've doubled, or at least upped it half again if I had it to do over.

ya, i have a tendancy to do that too.if i charge for something, i ussually make it way cheap becuase i ussually think the person's in the same boat i am and cant pay much anyways, and i dont mind that so much, but if they have the funds, set yer bar high. i know it's vague, and it doesnt really give you an idea of what kinda bracket ya got, but charge what yer worth. dont go low just becuase yer afraid to ask. here, think of this too, i know yer just starting at university and stuff like that, how much would you need in order to help you live comfortably. think of it in those means.

Ugh…so tired.

The past 3 days I haven't been able to sleep.

Monday: Fell asleep at like, 4:30
Because of talking to girl, and worrying about dad.

Tuesday: Fell asleep at like, 3:00
Talking to girl.

Wednesday: Fell asleep at 5:00.
Friend was over, and talked to girl.

This girl is making me lose sleep.
But she's so worth it <3

What's up with your dad, Ryu? Did I miss something? :(

Gonna go out fer a beer (or 6) with a buddy tonight. I'm stoked. I've gotten back to my normal social self since I got on the new meds. I really hope it stays this way, and doesn't plateau and then drop back to blech. They tend to do that after a while…

WELP! All I know is that I'm doing 6-8 full colour illustrations (including book cover), the first reply I sent was concerning what exaxtly it was I was supposed to be drawing. I also keep all copyright on images and get a % of sales if this all works out.

$80-$100/illustration, minimum is what I'd ask for.

I wonder why is it that women are more likely to awaken some sort of psychic ability. Most of the reiki / energy healers (and people who arent healers but at least have high interest in that stuff) I've seen are women.

But on the other hand, its always the men who do the hard stuff like psychic surgery and exorcism.

This is just an observation I've noticed. What does this say about men and women?

My back is killing me.

Literally killing me, my spine has ripped itself loose and is stabbing me between my shoulder blades. At least, that's what it feels like.

Most women tend to be more emotional than men, and more introspective. Men tend to be more assertive/dominant and favor external displays of power. Let's just call it "receptive" and "projective", eh?

Not the case always, of course- I'm a glaring exception to this rule! But just speakin' on what I've read and noticed about the difference in male/female brains and behavior, and my sociological observations applied to your metaphysical quandary.

$80-$100? that sounds like a lot for my work, but then again she DID ask me based on what she'd seen of my work… gah! I'll see what's goin on with further negotiations…

In other news, over the past 2 days I have walked 30 miles and have slept rough in a pine forest.

OK, my little midweek mini holiday is over. Time to get back to work-ish tomorrow (this weekend I want to clean pretty much everything inside the house and out, and the car, and the garden).

Which is OK because I've wrapped up Point Lookout this morning, which would have been the major distraction. :] Fantastic DLC though, they just keep getting better. Fallout 3's an amazing game that never gets old.

Then another week of work (I predict I won't get much done), THEN I can take my couple weeks off. I'ma go to Yorkshire with my doglet… although only for 2 days. :[

Union (finally) got accepted as a Pets as Therapy dog, so now I just gotta buy her yellow jacket and choose where to take her. Then she can do her favorite thing in the world (after running, sleeping, and eating cat poop): standing around getting pets and treats from strangers who tell her how soft she is and what a good girl so gentle awwww :kitty:

Yes.

Did you find Desmond kind of creepy with the way he kept switching between the generic Ghoul accent and his fancy pants English accent?

When I first tried to play through it, I thought I'd try to look the part so I went in with my Regulator Duster and found a Confederate Hat and my guy looked so awesome. Unfortunately, I started it at such a high level that this resulted in me getting killed every five minutes.
