Couldn't sleep worth shit last night. Kept having weird vivid dreams populated by, like, everyone I've ever known or somethin'. Sheesh. Too much to digest.

Also I was listening to this song:

And remembering playing it as loud as I could when I lifeguarded at the country club in high school. >:)

I keep reminding myself that internet users type as they would speak. Conversation is full of bad grammar when written down verbatum. Once I read most posts out loud they suddenly make sense.

Most posts are not intended to be essays or articles written according to Fowler's Modern English Usage lol!

Sadly we no longer live in an age where that standard of correspondence is the norm or even taught in our educational systems. One will not read an email and see the superlative prose of a 19th Century letter writer. It is simple conversation. I shall just retire to my closet and shed a great number of tears for the poor quality of the preponderence of prose in my time.

I just discovered that the reception in my room is so bad that I'm actually incapable of using my phone. Same situation throughout the rest of the building, it seems.

Jenius. Pure jenius.

And before anyone points it out, the misspelling is intentional.

I never thought I'd fall behind on homework this fast. People kept telling me junior year was brutal, but I never thought it was this busy. I'm bored as hell though, which makes no sense. I didn't think it was possible to be busy and bored at the same time.

My poor cat. I was clipping her nails yesterday and found one was too thick to cut, curled over on itself, and pressing against the pad. I tried to mess with it, but she cried most piteously, so I called the vet. Her appointment is in an hour – because of a single claw. Sigh. I guess things could be worse. She's 15 years old, and that's currently her biggest health complaint. – She also doesn't groom herself that well (I have to bathe and brush her) and has mild arthritis. It breaks my heart a little to see her get old. I've had her since I was 12, and she'll always be a kitten to me.

EDIT

Holy crap! I just put on pants I haven't been able to wear in three years!

And I'm 20 pounds heavier than I was then.

Laws of conservation of matter be damned!

Our old cat couldn't groom himself either. He'd groom the front half of his body though, so his fur would be smooth and clean at the front, and all scruffy at the back.

I'm guessing it's the lack of porn/games/generally inappropriate things.

Unless of course you count the A-rated comics, and the games we have at the top. But I doubt any place is just going to block little flash games like those. :P

——————————-
I'm really sorry about that Seventy2, I know saying sorry won't do much. But I really hope that you get better. Just think about the good times you had with him, and such. :)

——————————-

I need to work-out today, and I need to work on Ryu's Krew. There's so much yet to do, and I haven't really had the time, nor the energy to do it. But now is the time. I figure, the sooner I can get the script all done (editing and all), and the concept sketching done, I can get to the actual drawing, and all will be well.

I still have to look stuff up for the chapter yet. ugh.

I'm supposed to have an appointment at the Gym (yes serious) Thursday at 11. Apparently because my brother forgot that I have school, so now I have to go home early then. Which, you know, isn't all that bad, considering I'd only be missing Drawing, Geometry, and Chemistry. And I'm doing fairly well in the last two (one of the only kids who does all their homework on Geo) and I'm practically acing Drawing.

What's really sad is, I missed Friday (because of puppy :3), but yet, I was able to catch up in Drawing class. Yet there was kids who haven't missed a single day, and are behind on a ton of assignments.

It probably has nothing to do with the fact that I actually like drawing.
Not at all.

I also need to stop taking naps after school. Despite the fact that I don't get much sleep, there is far too much to do. Especially after I wake up from said nap, I feel even worse than before.

And apparently Apollo (my puppy), still hasn't learned that he is NOT allowed to go into the Drive-way, and into other people's yards.

I think the highlight of my day was, I started scripting Mission 3 already. I feel proud of myself for that.

I had to stop earlier, too. Brain fried.

Took a nice long bike ride, saw some old professors, hung out at the coffeeshop for a bit. Now I'm cookin' dinner, then gonna be listening to the Dead Boys and doin' that mad, mad cross-hatchin' thing I do.

it was really bad back at that regret thread. don't know why but that day was just bad in general.

Glen Beck.

He's a shapeshifting lizard (figuratively… but I won't be surprised if he literally is one).

God. He's calling himself a "liberatarian" now. After dissing Ron Paul a long time ago.

Ahhh… nothing beats the feel and smell of sun dried clothes. Especially when you've actually invested effort and energy… and a lot of elbow grease… into washing them with soap and water and scrubbing them on a washboard in a large tub of water. Now people out there will say that clothes dried in an electric or gas heated dryer are better and faster. Others will swear by drying them with a hairdryer, an iron, or just simply wringing them to death (or worse). And then there's the minority that will state that the best way is to crush them between two slabs of a very dense material (concrete or steel) weighing several tons, or using a road roller on them (by running them over repeatedly).

I still stand by sun dried clothes though. They have this feel on them that you don't feel with other methods of drying. Plus the sun is free to use and while slow it's guaranteed to get the job done as long as the day is extra sunny… great if you're not washing clothes every day. :)

I swear though… after I was done the water looked like the water in the toilet after a person ended up using it in a really bad emergency…

FUCKING. MAYA. I'm used to having to reinstall the licence when I move the computer around, but for some goddamn reason the .exe has completely disappeared.

It's so bizarre, everything is fine, but the button I need to click to start just isn't there any more and I can't figure out why.

The big problem with this is that I thought it wouldn't be necessary to bring the install disc with me, and left it behind to cut down the amount of crap I had to lug here with me.

Stupid piece of crap is more fucking trouble than it's worth.

Got 3 hours of sleep last night after a wonderful fiasco coming home from U2 concert. I would go into further details, but it's just too embarrassing.

Found out I owe thousands of dollars in library fines to the university I dropped out of. THis is not an exageration. 19 books, $20 late fee per book, plus face value cost of each book, plus a $10 "transaction" fee per book. Most of 'em were art books that sell for over $100. Fffffffffffff….ack. Time to get on the phone and make some calls and see if I can't find out where they are.

In better news, despite somewhat lackluster pageviews, my DD rank's the highest it's ever been today. Normally I wouldn't brag about stuff like that, but I figured an injection of swagger might take the sting off the whole "why can't you return yer books like a normal human being, asshole?" thing.

You're right. I thought I'd make up for not sleeping enough the day before. Very, very foolish of me.
Horus, the Egyptian god of just about everything? How did he get in there? Six times?
He has a sticky beak, :)

Ah well, work tomorrow. I'll try and get an early night tonight.

That's why I don't borrow books anymore.

When I was in college, I got 'em to give me "amnesty" in exchange for promising never to check out another book from the library. lol! But this goes way back- when I was four, I cried for an entire day when we had to return "Go Dogs, Go!".
