I think it's because I slept twelve hours yesterday, but I woke up at four this morning.

i woke up like 3 times last night. first it was too hot, then it was too cold. and all the times i had to go like a race horse.

see, i didn't know that about fleas. but me and the wife do have thick hair on the tops of our heads, so it didn't hurt to err on the side of caution.

once again, i started ranting, and had no idea what i was ranting about. because i forgot.

Random people keep adding me as a friend.

Still sick. I hate how I have a limited number of days I can miss before I get kicked out of my classes…that makes sick days a lot less relaxing.

Edit: Also I couldn't sleep last night because of this stupid cold. I ended up sleeping with a kleenex shoved up my nose. I'm so lady-like.

I hate my twelve hour shifts on weekends. However let's look at the positive! I got a chance to hook up with Valerie the conspiracy theory/paranormal enthusiast newspaper delivery person. She's also one of the best looking women in the history of the world. I think there's a picture of her next to the word "voluptuous" in the dictionary. And she's so facinating to talk to that you totally forget her unforgettable looks.

This morning they are trimming every fucking tree in the neighborhood, so at eight AM with my brain in my post-work hangover there are the sounds of chainsaws and wood chippers. There is not enough Tylenol in the world. Now they're cutting the heavier branches from next door and there are these huge thuds as the stumps hit the ground.

With a couple of trees falling in a Nor'easter a few weeks back just missing some houses makes sense. But it's so fucking noisy. Maybe I should go visit a nice quiet carrier flight deck or tank gunnery range.

It's a good idea to record sound separately at the same time. That way you can add a good copy to the project afterwards if you need to.
Depending on what form your thing takes you can probably rerecord and add the sound again anyway. :)

Why is it only towards the extreme end of the day that my creative muscles actually kick in and start letting me produce stuff? It's 20 to 4 in the morning and I've only just now seriously started drawing. I just can't get into it any other time during the whole day!

…jeez it's always so dead here on Mondays. -_-

I had one of those "OH SHIT!!!" moments just now. I was just settling down into my easy chair (which is my work area) and was getting ready to play Crono Trigger on my laptop. Then a message popped up saying that my computer had no audio device. I thought that this couldn't be true, but sure enough, the volume control refused to open saying that there was no device installed.

The reason that I got really panicked was this: On my very first computer (a Windows 95) at some point the sound card got deleted, so my computer was without sound until I got a brand new one. (After that my dad figured out how the fix the sound problem, but it didn't matter then.) A Windows 95 is ok without sound. With only a GB memory it wasn't like I had a ton of programs that required it. But leave my laptop alone!

Fortunately, I restarted and the sound came back, but…I nearly had a heart attack. I didn't know how I would bring it up to my dad or my computer genius cousins.

I just had a crazy idea…

What if you took a thousand artists and each one would draw a thousand pages?

You'd have a 1 million pages long comic :D

Now to just write a million page script and fint one thousand sucker… er, artists willing to work for the fame *cough*free*cough*

:)

Umm, what's that Lone?

*continues rubbing groin against lonnehart*

*zaps Ozone's groin with a 2000 volt stun gun*

Wow… got a storm just south of me right now. Rain, power outages, snakes trying to invade my house and eat my pet turtle…. ugh… Had to hack one to death in my bathroom. Normally I'd just use my sledgehammer, but I was in no mood to be replacing the bloody tiles I'd break, so I grabbed my really REALLY SHARP machete and made short work of the 8 foot 1.5 inch thick monstrosity. Now I have to wash the blood out of my clothes….

Skoolmunkee, have you tried that one Elder Scrolls: Oblivion cheat code? I think it was called "player.createfullactorcopy"….. I tried it out last night and I have to say… after playing as a character I created for so many hours on end it was just weird to actually be talking to him. Or is that talking to yourself? Even worse, I find out that he's even better at combat than I am… Makes for a great partner when you're raiding the planes of video game hell (luckily he also takes my Knights of the Nine faction so I can ask him to accompany me everywhere I go) …

There's been a lone jumping spider patrolling around my computer desk for over a week now. Dutifully, he patrols over the white completed sheets for AG and inspects the monitor. So, one day I decided to play with him.

He was on my screen and I noticed he was stalking the vertical scroll bar. So I moused it down a little and he watched it. You can tell they're looking since they have to pivot to see anything outside their immediate angle. Then, I made it scroll down quickly and he freaked out, jumping off the monitor for safety. From my scary scroll bar.

"It's coming right for me!"

Ditto.

I need to make a project for myself, but I'm terrible at completing them. I just need something to divert my attention to something useful.

I just found out I have 50 pages worth of papers due in two weeks, a figure drawing by 8 am tomorrow and that I'm pathetically behind in my Typography class. How, I don't know. why, I do know. Someone out there must really hate junior Illustration designers.

Why does my internet run slow when I haven't got long before I have leave?

So lectures have started up again. Still boring. Still getting used to the fact that they've changed all the times and that the lecturers are liars and the timetables complete fiction and that half of said lectures have been cancelled for one reason or another.

And since I can't get Maya on this computer until that CD turns up, I'll have to use the ones in the computer building. The one that's always booked because it's not a dedicated media building and they really hate us using *their* computers.

Maya isn't on the computers in the dedicated media building we do have. Why is that? Why is this dump so badly run?

Aaaaaah, having stuff to complain about again feels so good.

I played the game on xbox, so nope. :] Sounds fun though, Bethesda seems to put lots of little fun/interesting things in their games.

Actually, according to this page it's possible on the XB360. It's just a bit more work though but you could do it. I may try it myself if I have the urge to use cheat codes just for fun again. :)

God Pathologic is terrible. And amazing. And hard. It's one of those games that are so artistic and revolutionary that I need to push past the bad translation and buggy, awkward controls and see the underlying message, but it's just so badly designed that I can't get past it.

On top of all this, I really should be working. Except I'm not really sure what I'm doing . . .

That sounds like the russian game about the diseased town thingy place… actually I'm not clear really on what the plot was (bad translation), it seemed like it might be cool, but your experience pretty much describes mine. I didn't make it far. :/
