I've come to the conclusion that there must be something in the air in Iowa. I came here 2 weeks ago a fairly happy, energetic, creative feeling person and now I find that everything around me seems much more depressing and I'm getting lazy and complacent about making things. I think this entire state just affects people in some weird way, because even the people at the supermarket, restaraunts, etc. seem unhappy and irritable with their surroundings. People who were born and raised out of state seem even more affected than those who are native too. I don't think it's just because it's winter either. There's a distinct pattern of behavior and general tone to the area that's incredibly singular to the area.

I'm thinking I'm going to do some research into what about this area of Iowa is causing such a weird effect on the population, as soon as I have a good long stretch of time to hypothesize and develop a few experiments.

Palestine n' Israel, best friends forever!

I try not to get too hung up on world politics, but I'm pretty anti-Israel. I don't support aggression or war, but Israel is a huge bully that gets away with most things for pretty crummy reasons. I feel like the formation of the country was unjust to begin with and that Israel doesn't deal fairly with its neighbors. They're aggressively populating land that isn't theirs so they can claim it (among all the other things ozone said), and when other countries get tired of them and don't want to sign any more peace treaties they react all out of proportion and then play the victim card. I don't think they're worse than other countries in that region (I don't think there's a such thing as a country that plays fair), but I don't think they're much better either.

Today at the store I found a shower wash that is my two favorite smells, vanilla and cocoa! I was so excited I bought 4 of them, because they are named 'winter' and that made me think they wouldn't be around long. When I was smelling one about half an hour ago I got some on my nose and so I am still smelling vanilla cocoa. :kitty:

Goddamn it i hate rottentomotoes.com. If you're not a 32 year old, bitter, conservative white male with a boner for pixar then every review on that site craps; 'oh no a film that didn't satisfy my lonely inner manchild got a 90%! well see about that!'

But they're ok with Pixar movies, right? Because I'm down with that.

I'm inking/coloring this guys penciled battle scene for practice and to build a colorists portfolio, but holy asscrabs is this stuff detailed(it's scary!). My inking style is very clean so i've lost details -_- Hopefully i'll suck them all back in with the color so it wont matter.

I'll post it in art corner when i'm done, and sorry to hear about your job mushrooms. :"(

Why are people getting rid of their Christmas holiday avatars? Being baptised Russian Orthadox our Christmas is January 6 which is also Twelfth Night and the offical US "Take Down your $%&#ing lights day."

So Christmas isn't over yet. I won't let it.

So I'm working New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. I have the studio all set up, the figures mounted on their horses and all ready to go… and I'm not in any mood to take any pictures. Ugh.

Yippee! Instead I have to sell more stuff on ebay. :)

my brother has finally gone off the deep end…i was hoping he'd make it to army basic, to get some manners beat into him….

on another note, tonight was the first night i took losses at the casino in a week. dropped from 500 to 440. (started with 60 last week) the dude sitting the end of the black jack table was an idiot and cost us a bunch of money. he doubled down on a 12, against a dealers 4. he yelled at me for hitting on a 12 when dealer was showing a face card. i mean, i dont think this guy knew how to play.

also, everyone wants to start drinking at midnight, but i've already been up for 22 hours. (midnight is in 2 hours here) but i wouldnt mind tagging along tomorrow night…

Hahah, that sucks Sub. I know the feeling. :(

I've had a migraine for two days now. Quite a bad one. Not the ultimate extreme in suicide type pain fortunately, but it does scale up to that at times. I won't be celebrating new years because of this… Ah well. off the net and back to bed now -_-

Two of my adjacent teeth keep hurting for no reason. Normally I know why my teeth hurt (bad tooth genetics? feel a cavity coming on?) but in this case I haven't the slightest clue.

I don't chew on that side, but I could if they would STOP HURTING OWW

Careful with that, might need a root canal. Mine started with 2 teeth hurting and ended up with a month-long ordeal of infection and pain. :) (The teeth were injured when I was a kid and only got around to going bad 15 years later…)

My vacation is almost over, then it's back to busy work schedule… :[ I slept in until almost noon today (couldn't get to sleep til 4) and now I feel like I've wasted one of my few remaining days. I have some work to do too before I go back, which I keep putting off, and if I don't get on it then I'm going to have to spend a good 6 hours on it on Saturday or something.

I did get one of my late christmas packages though, my sister always sends such strange and yet thoughtful gifts.

Ah… two day headache over. Just in time to totally miss New Years here. Hooray…

On the upside, I fixed up the website for my work, like I've been promising them I'd do for months. But then, what do people expect for free?

Usually, the earth. For some reason, the more you charge, the less you need to actually produce (I can't figure it out)until you get to the stage where they pay you huge sums for making things even worse. By this stage, you're a management consultant. :)

Just pay for a bamboo wacom, they cost about 70-80 dollars. Or save up until you can get a 200-300 dollar one.

It's okay now. Ozone killed it because the influence of the ancient TD gods was starting to resurface.
