Yet, they'll be curious, see it, and they will laugh as well.

It's generally normal here too. But that doesn't make it nice. :(
…but because it's been such a lovely, delightful, cool summer though, that makes it worse. -_-

The the warmest temps so far have been barely going over 34C, so it's basically been like it is here during winter

———————
I doubt it will get hotter though… (hope). Things have been so mild. I'm thinking it'll cool off to nice low 30C degree days for the most part.

I'm serious here:
No that page was a slap of retard poop to the face that will take many weeks for me to wash off, marimo was beautifully done and heartwrenching for just a 10 minute short.

EDit: wait were you just kidding? gaddamit

So it's 2 a.m. right now and outside is illuminated :) There's snow over everything so the light the moon gives is bouncing off everything, it looks like it's 5pm instead. I'm gonna go walk around in it and feel bad when my cats follow me(oh they will)

So two months ago, the electric company (e-on) wanted to replace my electric meter. I set an appointment (must be done 3 weeks out) for an AM and ended up staying home all day waiting for them, no show. Called, irate, and rescheduled for today.

Since I would be home all day again waiting for these guys, scheduled some other things the same day- boiler yearly checkup, MOT (car inspection), couple other 'need to stay home' things.

Problem- can't drop the car off for MOT until 8:30, and if I drop it off later it won't be done by the end of the day. So 8:30 dropoff it must be. Meter replacement appointment is "8am to noon". I have to risk leaving the house for 5-10 minutes to drop car off and walk back.

So, I just have to risk it. On the way back from the garage, I see an e-on van parked on the side road with a guy having tea inside. Probably my van, probably my guy. I had not even been gone 5 minutes at that point. >:[

Ah well. I'll just have to reschedule. They're the ones who want my meter replaced, not me.

Edit: Need 2 days and up to £600 repair for car to pass inspection…

Edit 2: Meter company called, their guy was stuck on the motorway. It was a coincidence after all! I still have to reschedule though.

What's that? Do I hear an excuse to plug an animated short film by pretending to contribute to a non existent discussion?

Why yes, yes I do.

I get Leonardo DiCaprio and Matt Damon mixed up. I couldn't enjoy "The Departed" because I didn't figure out that they were two different people at first; and even once I did, I couldn't tell which was which if they weren't on screen together. The odd part is that I was complaining to my Dad about it, and he'd had the same issue. Huh.

Philip Seymour Hoffman and Jack Black
John Cusack and Edward Nortan
Melanie Griffith and Meg Ryan
Jennifer Love Hewitt and Grey DeLisle… and about a zillion others.

Yeah, look alike actors. Always so confusing! At least Black and Hoffman do different sorts of role now, that makes it easier. :)

DiCaprio and Damon both look like overgrown teens. Their faces never matured into man-faces. That's their problem. :(

Oh, they'll age… it'll happen, and when it does, you don't want to be anywhere near the epicenter.

*Every Hollywood actress under the age of 30.
(With the exception of Lindsey Lohan, who I have a shameful, shameful fixation with, and therefor can distinguish her from the others.)

I always confuse Meg Ryan and Melanie Griffith.
Also Matt Damon and whoever that other one is (not DiCaprio- the other one.)
I can easily distinguish PSH from Jack Black because Jack Black is an unshaven but well meaning idiot (and all his roles are exactly the same character) and PSH is a creepy-ass creep who plays weirdos and the mentally unstable.

This is going to get me in trouble, but I also always confuse Robert DeNiro with Al Pacino. I know who they are but I always have this mental block when trying to think of their name or whatever. "the one in the godfather"

Ben Afleck?

I don't confuse actors and stars, but then again I have no clue who half the people you guys have mentioned are.

It always feels so exciting to put up new work into an online portfolio. Like you're finishing the piece all over again for a second time. Even if the work was completed several months ago. It's always such an accomplished feeling to hit send and see it pop up.

sm edit: sorry, edited instead of quoted

I'm half-way through inking the last page!!! of chapter 2 of the Hub. Whooo! I'm also really wanting to start up a new comic, even though I know I shouldn't. But it'd be way more cartoony, in strip form, and I'd do the values with markers instead of linework; thus, in theory, it would take way less time. Heh. Theory- always comin' back to bite me in the ass. ;)

I'm a little sick of some local comic artist "friends" getting hung on style vs. content. "American" style (I have some great British and French comics in this so-called style) vs. Manga (manhwa, etc). B&W vs. Color Vs. tones. Markers vs. paint vs. ink vs. pencilwork, computer only vs. handdrawn, cartoony vs. "realistic". It's like a damn religious war. Sorry, just annoys me and thought I'd bitch about it for a minute. If you like it… read it… if not, move on, right??

breathe, breathe, okay… better now…
