I have the same problem as you guys sometimes…I watched like 3/4 of The Dead Poet's Society thinking two of the characters were the same person until my LA teacher talked about them with separate names. I was like huh?

Rant: I woke up this morning and no one was home…I couldn't reach anyone at work, and they had left the cell phone at home. That freaked me out a little but mostly made me angry because my dad had promised me a ride this morning…the sidewalks are sheer ice, making it impossible to walk to school.

There's way too many extortionists… errr… cops on the streets these days.

Trying to fill up their quotas.

Trying to squeeze the money out of the average citizen.

Just as this economic crisis worsens.

What the fuck.

As more and more people lose their jobs, where do you expect them to find the money to pay for this shit?

I'm scared of them and I dont trust them.

Not that I'm a criminal or something. I'm a law abiding citizen. I work an honest job. I am not involved in any of that gangs and drugs bullshit.

Its just that I probably would have been framed up if not for my elderly coworker who happened to be hitching a ride on my car. If not for that coworker of mine, there would have been no witnesses.

I saw the cop hiding near the stop sign. He was probably hoping that I do the rolling stop so he can ticket me.

But I saw it and didn't do a rolling stop.

The bastard still followed me.

It was a dark area and I was really scared. I prayed to God. Please God… I hope this cop wont frame me. Please. There are no witnesses. He could easily frame me. He could easily plant drugs on me or taser me for no reason. There are no witnesses. No deterrents to stop him.

And then 3 minutes later, the cop pulled up beside me, and gave me a good look before speeding off.

I could tell by the way he stepped on his accelerator. That he's pissed. That he wasnt able to get an excuse to give me a ticket.

Bastard.

Well, I believe in karma. And I know for sure that something bad is gonna happen to that sonuvabitch. Maybe he would:
- lose his wife and children in some divorce bullshit
- get shot by some gangbangers
- get crashed by a drunk driver
- get into a car accident
- get cancer or aids or any deadly disease…

What goes around comes around.

kyupol: Are you listening to yourself? You just called a police officer, who did absolutely nothing to you, a "bastard" and "sonofabitch." You're talking about HIM framing YOU while you're accusing him of all these things? All he did was give you a look. Because of that, you want him to lose his wife, children, or even his life? That's ridiculous. This guy is only doing his job, and does not deserve any of those things you have said. Maybe he did want to frame you. But you know what? It's just as likely that he wants nothing more than to make his community a safer place.
Watch how you talk about people, kyupol. You're not coming across as a very nice person.

Yeah, that bastard, who does he think he is?
Giving you a good look? Fucking son of a bitch.
He deserves gets cancer and dies slowly before losing all his friends and family, because seriously.
Giving you a good look?
Jesus christ. They'll get anyone they can to be a police officer.

ever lived with a loved one with a terminal disease? I agree with hippievan, you need to calm down a little bit and perhaps tone down your "karma" ideas.

as for my own rant, I moved the Dashing rogue over from TD, and nobody has looked or commented yet, perhaps I should put out some threads or something. as for the plus, it reached it's 25th, 50th, 75th and 100 page milestones yesterday!

There were no witnesses from the outside. It was a totally dark area. The only witness was the coworker in my car. But if I happened to be driving alone in the dark area… it could have been a different story. God knows.

And while I may have come off as anti-cop, in fairness to cops, here is an example of a cop that I respect.

http://nevergetbusted.com/v2/home.html

Now now… I'm not into marijuana. I won't smoke it even if it was free and legal. Its just the same as saying that I'm not into gay sex or eating crabs and shrimp.

But I don't believe that potheads deserve to be in jail.

People have the right to smoke pot.

Well, I believe in karma.
Karma does not manifest in one lifetime, it applies in the next. So basically what you believe in is the hope that bad things happen to bad people.

Kyu's rants have been pretty disturbing lately.

I don't believe in karma, i think the only people it 'effects' are the one's who believe in it because they'll twist everything into 'it must be karma working oh no!' when really if you treat someone badly they're going to treat you that way back, it's not some divine world power at force just you twisting all the bad things that happen to you as an aftereffect of something else. :/

my wife just came home with a bunch of gifts for me…that she cant afford. and now she's pissed at me that i told her to take it back, because i cant make payments for her, and me, and a crashed car. now i feel guilty, because it was for my birthday, (which i hoped she had forgotten, for this very reason). and she's always felt bad, that i can buy her gifts for her birthday (for some reason, the end of summer always brings a surplus of cash) and she's never been able to get me something. which i dont care….i stopped caring about birthdays when i was sixteen….

Haha, that's like my mom! She has this weird thing where she thinks that if she finds a penny, it means that it's good karma or something because she's living right. I mean, if it helps her feel better that's fine, I just think it's a bit silly. Obviously she's going to be looking for them more carefully if she thinks they really mean something, which will result in her finding more of them.
Some days when she's in a bad mood I drop one somewhere I know she will find it to cheer her up.

It's kind of scary when you know you have a bad mindset about life. I apparently have just stopped caring about anything. It's only the little things that made me realize this. Such as, this one gorgeous friend of mine, she's practically my best friend as well, we always walk together after my 3rd hour, and we talk and see how each others day was so far. But as of lately, she hasn't been there. She usually waits for me, and now she doesn't.

I also realize I've gone off my diet, and I haven't worked out in God knows how long. It's just…strange. I guess I just stopped caring about everything. It's almost as if the only thing that matters anymore is my comic. I would start to take care of myself, but I'm sick. And the only thing that would fix the workout thing, is a gym membership. Which we don't have the money for.

And today was my mom's birthday :)
Yet, I felt like total crap all day.
And I got less page views on my comic, yet, it's an update day…Hmm…strange…

Hapy birthday to your mum Wolf.
As for working out you said in this thread not that long ago you'd been doing it soo it doesn't mater that much; it's not been THAT long. You'll get back into it again.
work your comic time into the rest of your routine, it doesn't need to take over.

—————–
Stupid day.
- It's hot again, didn't cool down over night.
- I have a bad headache AND I'm at work.
- Stupid Photoshop 7 on the work comp handles my complicated CS4 file badly.
- Stupid work comp is fooking up… Won't run Firefox, e-mail keeps crashing…
I'm seeing if I can do a software update. This thing is a POS.

I miss my home comps… My oldest comp that was junked 5 years ago was higher spec than this old work computer… Gah!

Yeah, I know, but I love working out. And I haven't done it in so long, I just feel like I'll end up fat again. I just love the rush of it, and I haven't been able to run or do my routine, due to the really cold weather.
If I got a gym membership, I could totally do that. It's just, it's hard for me to get motivated at home.

Also can't work out at the moment, because I'm sick :(
But thanks again Ozone. :)

Ryu: A lot of people who work out vigorously get "runners' high"- excercise releases endorphins, kinda like sex. You get that loopy feel-good thing goin' on, and can actually have "withdrawl" if you are used to excercising a lot and then miss a few days. It's also a psychological thing- if you're doing a certain number of laps/reps/minutes/whatever, you can feel a great sense of accomplishment from completing that goal. Missing days tends to put you in the dumps. ;)

I up at 2am, and I have to be up to get ready to work in 5 hours… why does each night seem to roll right on by when from 5pm-8pm (even when I'm off work!) just seems to drag on?!

I'm more productive (art-wise) at night, and I seem to look forward to that productivity… I guess in a way, it's all due to relativity >.<

Ok, I'm starting to rhyme, it's obviously bed-time… DAMNIT!

—————
So when I look online for nice things like tricorn hats I keep coming up with shit labed "jack Sparrow this" and Jack Sparrow that"! Gah! As if no one else ever worse a damn tricorn apart from a stupid movie character from a couple of years ago that I have never bothered to see! Stupid, stupid, stupid. Depp's idiot character has single handedly retrospectively owned not just all pirate culture, but half of the 17th C as well. It's insane. It really is…

i am now up. i have been up. i had to pee at 430 am. after i peed, i realized ( i have no idea how, something just clicked)that my dog was in heat. a dog period that lasts 3 weeks, twice a year. so since i cant put diapers on her, when she's not being watched. (she chews the crotch out of them) i decided to lock her up in our master bath. the place was huge, so i thought she would be happy. but she started whining, and when she was ignored she peed and pooped in there. it's like she had concentrate stink coming out of her but. it was one tiny poop. so i cleaned that up, and locked her in the standing shower. well she whined even louder n there, so i blocked off the laundry area from the rest of the house, and put her in there.she stopped whining. by this time, it was 550.
so i get back into bed, and my wife rolls over and puts her arm around me, and cuddles her head on my shoulder…..and starts snoring.directly into my ear…but i'm patient, and know she'll stop. well she doesnt, so i ask her to roll over, she does, i put my arm around her, lay my head down….and my 610 alarm goes off.
i got up found some PT clothes (huzzah for ass backwards air force mandatory pt outfits. which is a rant for later) and then decided to let the dogs out for their morning pee. but the one dog isnt in the laundry area….she had moved the baracade out of the way…(not knocking it down) and gone to curl up by my bedroom door.

jerk.

Mwahahahaha. Finished with Ch. 2! I've been working on this mess for 3 months. I've just gotta touch up some pages, do a spell check, finish coloring an intro page of sorts, and then go break into the art school and scan it all. Guerrilla tactics, man. It's how I get things done.

And I actually woke up at a real person time today (8am). Although I credit that to some really messed-up dreams. Usually they're just disturbing, or occasionally upsetting, but I had a flat-out nightmare last night. I can't think of the last time I was scared during a dream. I wish I could remember it. All I remember is this woman's hand, wearing a diamond ring, being severed by some kinda flying razor thingy, and plopping into an underground cistern. Ew. I have to go to a wedding this weekend- maybe it's that? I have quite… antagonistic feeling towards the institution of marriage. ;)

I got up at 5am this morning so I could make it downtown for jury duty. I'm sitting in the Jury assembly room right now hoping to God my name doesn't get called. :D I usually start work at 9:30 or 10 in the morning and often get up at 8ish so this is a tough day. We'll see if they are okay with snoring and slobber on the table… ZZZzzzzzzzz.. snort.

Woo! Good job!

I wish I could go work on the comic…well, I could, but I'm sick and have like no energy. But alas, I'll try.
Since there's nothing else to do!
