Custard Trout:
Shaving's overrated. I haven't shaved since 2001. ;)
When I visited California, everyone thought I was homeless. I think it's because that, excepting certain pockets here and there, Cali is a very, um, hygienic state. It was kind of cool, because all these chicks were offering to take me home. But kind of not cool, because the kinds of chicks that offer up their homes to gutter punks and hobos are, ya know, completely psychotic.

So. I finished watching Gurren Lagann yesterday. I usually hate animes (don't mind Manga), but I loved this one.

And I awoke yesterday, to have a Meijer bag on my desk, and it was filled with an air freshener (I'm a very clean person), a whole bunch of my favorite gum, which you can't get anywhere else, (It's called Teaberry gum) and a thing of acne cleanser. Since stridex isn't working. My acne isn't bad, it's just, lately it's been acting up (still not that bad) but I hate to see my pretty face infected ;O;

And since I finished all of Chapter 1 Friday night (w00t!), I started writing for Chapter 2 Part 2, since I already have Part 1 scripted. And I want the whole chapter scripted before I start. Mostly because I don't want to have to stop drawing to write. Writing takes the longest usually.

i might be getting a new tv!! before you guys go and talk about my savings, my current tv is broken, and i have a service warranty on it, if it's not fixable, then i get a new tv at equal or lesser price.
what i dont know, is if they go by purchase price, or the price of the tv itself. which for me are 2 seperate prices, i bought a floor model, and with the 4 year service warranty, i still paid $700 less than what it was.
either way, tv's have dropped prices in the last 2 years, and i can get a tv 2 times as good for the price i got this tv for. and the newer version of this model is super dooper good, and the same price mine was marked for.

i wonder if i drop the guy a couple bucks, if he'll let me keep the old t.v. i mean, it's not too bad, it could go in the media/man room.

I can tell that I'm losing an argument when I have to check Wikipedia to back my facts up. When did I get so out of practice at this? I used to be able to argue with someone about pointless shit for hours but now. . . I've gone soft.

it was filled with an air freshener (I'm a very clean person)

I always thought air freshener was for people who weren't very clean. That's why I use it, anyway.

I just ate at mcdrug… errr… mcDONALDS.

Damn. Their double quarter meal makes me feel like I wanna drink down gallons and gallons of water. Damn chemicals. Damn drugs.

Hey druggies reading this. If you wanna get drugs and not get in trouble with the law, just eat at mcdonalds. LEGAL DRUGS. lol!

I didn't realize insane amounts of saturated fat and salt were drugs. Though they will kill you.

Last time I ate at mcd's (15 years ago) I threw it right back up. That was it for me and fast food.

Not long ago someone at work was eating a cheeseburger or something and commenting on how good McDonald's was to put the nutrition information on the wrapping. After mentioning they probably HAD to, I asked to see it, out of curiosity. Instead of saying 'protein' 'fat' 'sodium' etc… they have these mystery symbols (which I guess were meant to be representative of the measured substance) next to the percentages. There's no way to tell what they're talking about, except calories, because it was the one that had kcal next to it. You're getting 17% of your daily something with this cheeseburger, but what is it? Good old corporate untruth tactics. :)

The corn syrup in hamburgers can get you addicted like tobacco can, but really you need to be eating a shitload of them everyday for it to get you addicted, and even then a bar of delicious hershey's chocolate gives you the same high as a hamburger(because of the endorphin's you release after eating them) You brain will be 10x clearer if you eat veggies and drink water but where the fun in that?

I did a huge 8 page research essay proving hamburgers can be addicting, got a perfect 6 on it, I hate when people go 'oh fast food chains aren't doing anything bad everyone knows they're fattening and should learn self control' when they ARE doing something bad and ensuring people get addicted to the crap.
i still eat burgers every week lol

….i forgot my rant.

I'm planning on switching schools for the third year in a row. I went to community college for a year, tried to make things work at MIAD for this year and now I'm putting in a transfer application for CCS back home in Detroit. I just can't handle the students at MIAD any more. They're obnoxiously stuffy, overly politically correct, and treat anyone who doesn't wear a keffiyah and loafers in the same outfit like total shit. I don't think they're assholes or anything, but it just seems to me that there's a major conflict of personalities here. I know I'd get along a bit better with the people at CCS since most of them grew up in the same neighborhoods as me and the general attitude of the school reflects the city and culture that I still identify with. On top of that, I realized I could be saving $7,000+ a year by staying with family friends instead of getting an apartment and paying for food and utilities. It's still pretty much the same tuition and quality of education, if not a better education for the same amount. Plus CCS has more opportunities for their illustration students with things like yearly trips to ComiCon for some of the Juniors and Seniors.

For the first time this year, there's snow here! And a bit of sleet too. It's fun to see the ground turning white…

The downside? Our heater just broke. First really cold day + broken heater. Nice. Shows that God has a sense of humor.

I need new headphones. The worst part is that they still work fine. But I stepped on them way back in January, snapping a little part of it that holds the right earphone on. Now it's really, really hard to keep attached. Geez, my nice expensive headphones ruined for like a 6 cent piece of plastic.

This rant has a pretty touchy subject, just warning it now.

I made a post in another forum thread that was discussing how straight men hate gay men but are okay with lesbians being unfair. I brought up i liked girls but totally could see why straight men disliked gay men. This one lesbian poster was shocked i didn't find it awful they hated them- because 'we're in the same boat'-and went off into an angry rant about gay men+blacks+lesbians working together because we're in the same boat.

Same boat? What the fuck. Look at that gastronomical 70% of black(and latino) votes on the prop 8 ban, they got to shore a long time ago with their marriage rights, they aren't obligated to help us row. Just because someone was/are discriminated against doesn't mean they're not going to discriminate too. That logic of the 'model minority' just burns me up, they're human beings like the rest of us, subject to the phobia's and fears we all face.
*sigh*
I need a life.

This is going to be a long week. :[ However I'm determined to work the hell out of it. My only real downtime will be the 3.5 hours to and 3.5 hours from Newcastle on the train… maybe… just because it's so annoying to try and get any work done on a train.

It's very annoying having to do a lawyer's work when you're not one. But very gratifying when you get to pwn their ***** in their own field. ;) (is what I'm doing…)

I hate weekends.
Only for one reason though. Weekends are my breaks off from working out, and I usually end up eating bad or something. And it makes me feel all slow and stuff, so, yeah. That's how I feel.
Not that bad, but still.

Oh, and I'm currently writing the script for Part 2 of Chapter 2. I think this is really where the story picks up. It's crazy how much I changed it from the outline, to the actual script.

Also gotta make sure to do tons of designs of stuff, so I don't sit there "BAWWWW'ing" when I can't think of how to draw something.

Oh, and I'm hosting my comic at Fur Affinity and Smack Jeeves. So I can get more exposure. Because God knows I need it :D
lol

Ooooohhh geezzz…

I've just spent all afternoon making a big white busby using a sheepskin a bought cheap for 25$ at a souvenir shop the other day. And I'm almost finished! :)

So… Why do busbies, even replica ones cost so ficken much if if just takes me an afternoon in front of the TV and some scarps to make one? Either I'm a fricken genius (which is probably true), or people pretend that making those things is harder than it is.

…Granted I'm not using bearskin (wouldn't want to anyway!), or Tibetan goat or whatever, but hand stitching animal skins is much of a muchness. I won't have the cap cords, braid, or chin-scales yet, but I have a good plume and the other things will come in due course. -Only superficial anyway.

It'll pretty much be a white version of this with a black velvet bag instead of a red one:

And I will be king of the tossers… :)

Apparently we don't have life drawing today. No one was informed of this, not even the model, we just walked in and were told to leave. Huh. We tried finding the lecturer to ask him what was going on, but no one knew where he was. His stuff was in his office though, so he must be around somewhere.

And to make things worse, I started talking to the model while we were wandering around. Turns out he has a girlfriend. Bollocks.

I need a job because I need stuff to keep making my comic; like paper. Paper would be good. But as Jello Biafra says, "I'm too damn weird to hold no straight job". So today I think I'm gonna go apply at the, er- "adult" bookstore. Yeah, it's come to that. People, take warning: this is what a BFA gets ya. Heh. I kid. Kinda. >:)

-.- I need a ruler badly. I'm trying to predraw my frames to make my comic cleaner. But it works better when you have a ruler…all I got is a crummy protractor that can't span a page.

By Jove, I'm feeling ranty today. Grr.

So I ripped these metal/hardcore CDs* (or rather, what I thought were such) from a buddy the other day. He played me a few tracks, and they sounded good, so I was like, "A'ight. Lemme get that from ya".

I'm just now listening to 'em, and… WTF? I mean, the songs will start out hard. But then they'll do a breakdown, and come at me with this whiny singing crap. Now, I got pretty varied musical tastes; it's not like all I listen to is unintelligible growly screaming with fast guitars. But I hate that whiny "let's talk about our feelings" stuff. Again- WTF? Totally disappointing.

(*The bands in question: From Autumn to Ashes & Between the Buried and Me.)

"My cherry bums are my cherry bums and I will treat them as I will." Lord Cardigan.

Isn't the last picture (Patrice Courcelle, his style is unmistakeable.) a picture of Marshall Murat or a musician of the (Berg?)Lancers ? (white and aramanth beautiful but man it got dirty fast)

I met someone in the French Grande Armee First Hussar uniform and was so taken with it that it just blew away actual Hussar uniform I could imagine. He was hanging out with a guy in the full gear of a Russian Napoleonic Grenadier which was even more impressive, but that's a ranker infantryman not a dashing hussar!

Of course the best Hussar type uniform bar none is that of an officer in the 95th rifles, but I'd never presume. There's only one: Colonel Richard Sharpe:

Talking uniforms provides aLittle distraction to keep me from thinking of the recent passing of my father. :( Every little bit helps.

sorry to hear bout that man, I know exactly how ya feel, it does get easier with time.

on an unrelated note, turns out I have some amends to make for my 'good' saturday night. luckily it's the emotional kind and not the money kind, barn walls are expensive I suppose.

Their earlier albums had less of the whiny screamo and more hardcore. But if you're not a fan of the current underground scene then they're probably not your cup of tea. If it's melodic metal you want, try The Black Dahlia Murder, Scarlett or See You Next Tuesday. They're a little more on the hard edged side of melodic stuff and have more traditional metal lyrics than the others.

…………..

It's snowing yet again. Wisconsin is having another one of it's trademark winters. I'm ready for some spring and outside. Being inside with dim lighting is making me all sluggish and lazy. All I wanna do is curl up somewhere warm and sleep all day.
