@JNP, you can stll get your art fix, contribute the odd page for heroes alliance and we are the duck.  much less pressure.

That's a really good idea!
I'll deinitely do that from time to time once I finish this issue! I wonder if I contribute enough pages if they'd mind a character from my comic joining so there could be SOME kind of comic legacy left behind for them!
Certainly, Heroes Alliance encourages it.  As for we are the duck, you could do short stories featuring the characters, either just scripts for others to draw or do them n full yourself.  I have a similar problem, I have comics I would like to do but cannot find the time for. I have one story that I want to put into print, once I feel I can pull it off properly.  But that is one I know I can do in around a 100-150 pages.  One day.

Ugh.  Opened my Fallout Shelter game and left it running for a while.  I come back 20 minutes later (thanks to a phone call) and found all 50 of the dwellers in my Vault… dead… the last one being killed by a deathclaw as I watched.  Now I can wait over 24 hours 'til all the dead bodies disappear and not let any new dwellers come in, or I can start a new game.  And not enough caps to revive even one.  I really should've sent a few into the wasteland at least…  *sigh*

Oh, well.  At least I didn't invest $$$ on lunchboxes or Mr. Handys.  So I only lost the time I put into making my vault work.

As for Swing Copters, been playing it a few days and I'm still trying to figure out why people find it so frustrating…  It's actually fun to play ("fun" being completely subjective… not everyone finds the same thing fun)…

When I'm down I can't draw, but I can sew.
Over the weekend I sewed on extra braid to my hussar dolmen jacket. Only on one side so far, but that's pretty good for just a weekend.
I've already done that to the fur edged pelisse jacket and it looks fantastic, way more regal and cool than it did before.
One day I'll make a whole jacket from scratch.

Payback is a bitch.  I need some time off to get some medical stuff done and to make up for it my manager has me doing two 12 hour shifts.  With the hours I'm doing I can just about get home, eat and then sleep with no time for anythng else because the head is still spinning.

You know the boss wonders why everything thinks he's an idiot.  All you have to do is look at the cluster-fuck of a schedule. The first reaction of any human would be "What kind of an idiot came up with this cluster-fuck?" I trained one of th new hires and she was going on about how stupid he was.  She had only been working a week!  This does not bode well for the future.

Sounds like a terrible boss…
But I remember when I was doing healthcare admin though and I'd be sending off nurses and care staff to various jobs. Some people would just say "yes" to everything no matter what, which was a massive plus on one hand because it meant they were always reliablely available for stuff, but a downer on the other because it meant you could bun them out if you weren't careful and then you'd have no one reliable left over when you needed that sort of person, it'd also mean they could get all the hours and leave nothing for the other people because they'd be the first ones you go to book… which would lead to other less tested people quitting because you'd never give them as many shifts.
And if you weren't careful you could burn them out so much that THEY'D quit or take an extended break.
Doing that staff juggling type work was VERY stressful because you're messing with people's lives and their ability to pay their bills and stuff. It was great money but the stress got me down.

Two GREAT shows I've been watching:
Rick and Morty - OMG this show is A-mazing! Lovely, lovely show. Lotta great guest voices too. On the Zardozz spoof episode they had both Claudia Black and Virginia Hey from Farscape doing voices of the amazonian women. PERFECT choices! And such a great nod t Farscape too :D

And Crayon Shin-Chan - I first whatched this years and years ago on TV. It looked like a little kid's show and was on during a time when little kids would watch. It was fun and a little rude, but not too rude…
So now I tried watching it again on the web and it is SO much better. Obviously the TV episodes were either censored or just cherrypicked for the safe ones. It is definitely NOT a kid's show. The langauge and humour goes beyond what you get in any western mature cartoons and even anime cartoons aimed at mature audiences.
I'm glad I finally gave it a second try.

I had an incompetent boss that changed the schedule DAILY. I went home one night, came back the next morning because I was scheduled to work, and she chewed me out because she had changed the schedule again that morning. Every job I've ever worked made the schedule and it was like that for a week or longer unless you and another employee could beg and plead to have one of your days switched. That woman was such an idiot. I only worked there for about three months, partly because she cut me down to 8 hours a week. I couldn't live on it. So I told them I quit, told her and several people I quit, and I filed several notices. She was a vindictive idiot, because I got a certified letter from the company saying I had done a "no call, no show" and was "to never work at the company again". Not that I'd want to anyway, that was by far the worst job I ever had. Even worse than the place that fired me because I wouldn't let the boss' son slap me or pull my hair.

I hope those bosses are not being bad on purpose.  My boss cut the everyone's hours at the company for a month earlier this year (May, I think).  She hired a bunch of new people while bidding on a contract.  It worked.  She won the new security contract and had the bodies to fill it… but a lot of good people left because the reduced hours were too much to take and they were able to get other jobs.

Bosses suck… bad ones.

The idiots I bought those swords fron are amateurs. They have NO idea how to ship stuff. For a start it's alnost 3 weeks since I bought them and they're  only getting around to shupping now. Secondly these chuckleheads put them in a gigantic freaking box 12" x12" x50"!!!!! That puts it in the most expensive  shipping class. At the cheapest it will cost $572 US dollars.

$500 something to ship something through the mail?  That sounds… painful…

Just preformed a factory reset on my tablet.  Same thing as a Hard Drive reformat on a PC.  I do this to clear out all the junk from memory that I can't find…

The one thing I hate about buying a tablet is that they have less usable memory than advertised.  My Samsung tablet advertised 8 GB of memory.  However, a little over half of that is used up by the tablet's OS, and I have to reserve 1GB in order to keep everything running (less than that and my tablet gets runtime errors due to lack of storage memory).  So out of all 8GB that it's supposed to have, I only have 3GB and many great Android games use over 1G of it…  X_X

That's the same as computers, part of storage is always taken up with the OS.
So I've started making games, nothing too fancy, I'm using a game creator as my coding skills are lacking but it's still a lot of wark.  a few days in and I've done a couple of basic things to learn the software and am partway through making a game to go with my comic Lore.  A screen shot if you're curious.  I'm going for a megadrive/genesis look fo the graphics.

Well, there's a ton of game making software out there, and some of it costs nothing.  Making games is pretty accessible these days, and selling them is much easier thanks to sites like Steam.

All you need is an artist, a musician, a game designer, and lots of spare time.

Well, artist… kinda…  game designer…  well I'm figuring that out.  Musician… nope. But I got someone on that.  I have a lot of musician friends, but most would want paying as that's how they make their living. But my brother does a little music here and there so he is doing some.

Only NOW do I figure out that I can disable (i.e. "turn off") the bloatware that Samsung stuffed into my tablet.  What it does is uninstall all the upgrades the software got, then turning it off so it never activates.  Freed up half a gig this way.  Now to find a Sega Genesis emulator so I can play Valis III on my tablet.  :)

It'd be easy to host browser games if we had a programmer to make a secton for it- just stick in in that useless "Videos" area.
More hits would mean more traffic, would mean more ad money would mean a more expensive hosting package, would mean less money… hahaha. But it'd balance out in the end and we'd get more.

I've asked JNP to get quotes on programmers, specifically to add stat tracking for comics. That's it, no bug fixes, no extra stuff yet, just stats. I want to make it modular and go for small things that will make people happy rather than major stuff that could break everything.  We can work up to that.
Anyway, if we know what stuff costs we know how much to ask for in a kickstarter or patreon.

zit's so very wrong, but oh, so funny. The censoring is anoying, especially since it OVER censors, but the anime is so stupid it's hillarious.

If any of you guys like 2D fighting games like Street Fighter you should get MUGEN and join www.mugenguild.com
That's the only game maker I've ever really gotten into. And you'll find I'm admin there. I've been using it since 2001.

I'd like to know if you're able to sell anything made with that.  I should probably look into it as I don't know much about that game maker.  Makes me want to try to make a fighting game in Clickteam Fusion (I own the standard version only though).  I've already seen an example of a Smash Bros type of game made with it.

Still learning basic spriting at the moment.  Doesn't come as easy as it used to.  Last time I workedwith Klik in Play was… in the late '90s?  So I have to learn the process again.  T_T
