Nice beach pic. I hope you went swimming!

This is a test pic I took with my webcam using VLC media player to see if it worked, which it seems too.
I also wanted to try and see if I could get that serious, squinty eyed look that hero characters are supposed to have, because my personal default look seems to be a goofy grin or an enegue.

I've bee trying to get this look to work on my male characters for a while now and never quite get it right.

I just got back from my annual visit with my former roommates and best friends. They inspired the characters in Used Books (and the city where they still live inspired the setting).

Russian Napoleonic a Guards officer. Nice detail with the "a" initial in the cockade. Probably from the upcoming most recent attempt at War and Peace. Which I will have to see as I have to see every film version of Tolstoy's novel.

You know genejoke, I might want to borrow those pictures as a setting for a future story. I lost a lot of my tunnel pictures when my hard drive crashed. A new floor and it'd be a great subterranean hallway.
