Some people don't appreciate good sexual health.

It's life, Jim, but not as we know it!

Look on the bright side, it's activity in the thread.

People use blankets on park benches?

And on public transportation? Really, it's not that cold here yet.

Nearly daily there are stories of the homeless relieving themselves one way or another in public on the subways in New York City.

I understand it's worse in Seattle and San Francisco.

That makes sense, I have a friend who lives in San Francisco, he probably increased the number.

This could almost be running gag in gunwallaces all unicorns to battle stations, strange places to beat off.

On a different note, what do people think of the drunkduck anthology comic I project I pitched as being a reward/incentive for the DD oatreon? That would be a digital download rather than print, and I would like to try and do a print version if possible. I'm off on holiday next week but when I'm back I'll be pushing on that properly. I've got a bunch of ideas for short stories for it but haven't decided which I will do yet.

I love the anthology idea - if I can kick myself to work on stuff I'll definitely submit a story.

I'd imagine a digital version would make the most sense for raising money for the site. Much as I'd love a printed full color book on my shelf (and I'd buy one for sure if we did it), the price would have to be quite high just to cover the costs of printing and shipping.

Yeah it would when you factor in actually raising funds from it as well. I did look at the costs of a UK printing service and it didn't seem too bad. First thing will be to get the thing complete, I'm thinking a max of 200 pages. As I understand it El Cid has been working on something which is 20-30 pages. Mine will probably be 12-20 pages. So depending on how many other contributors we get over 100 pages should be fairly easy. A larger page count means a spine rather than staples which will make for a more durable book, and hopefully a more appealing one.
I imagine the uptake for printed copies will be fairly limited, but I too think it would be cool to have so I'm gonna do my best to make sure it happens, even if it is a very small quantity.

I finished the artwork for the story over a week ago. It's 35 pages. I'm gradually filling in the dialogue as I find time.

El Cid and Friends: A Drunk Duck Anthology

The popularity of El Cid's comics might prove to be a selling point. ;)

Once they find out there's no sex in the story, interest may wane a bit.

You unlock this door with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another dimension - a dimension of sound, a dimension of sight, a dimension of mind. You're moving into a land of both shadow and substance, of things and ideas. You've just crossed over into the Twilight Zone.

Hope it's nothing too serious that medical treatment can take care of with little difficulty.

The wife keeps "shopping when hungry " and brings home snacks. So I binge and my blood pressure skyrockets. I shouldn't eat the stuff. I can't eat the stuff. Up hacking half the night from my reflux.

And it's getting to the point where any caffeine is too much. I'm getting old. Lol.

It's sort of borderline. Painful and can be serious, not sure if mine is yet

Best of luck, I'm keeping everything crossed for you. I'm sitting in recovery myself as I type this. Sadly not high as a kite - might have to ask for more pain killers.

e: Hernia fixed and I now have a couple of weeks of not being able to do very much at all. Perfect time to start kicking my anthology contribution into shape.

I hope you're not a Ranitidine user like I am (was, in 4 tablets time), since it's been withdrawn now !

Sounds good on both counts. I'm still stuck in hospital, having a camera stuck in my gullet Monday and hopefully soon after that they will decide they can operate. It's very tedious but I've been getting some reading done, but being in a ward of men with dodgy digestive systems isn't conducive to creative writing. Maybe I'll try again tonight to the sound of them all snoring, I can imagine sleeping elder god's as inspiration.
