fyi the boomshakalaka file is NOT me
Way to fail throwing people off the scent! Lol.
Hhhmm. We have 14 "mystery" files to date, and boomshakalaka is among them. To lefarce or not to lefarce? that is a question.

Check it out, add your own

Thank you purveyor! you're a good duck.

Three Days let's see the traditional double-submissions-in-the-last-three-days routine, ey?

Someone should go in and insert the loud "THANK YOU, NEXT!." coming from the middle seats of the auditorium.

Boom sha…THANK YOU, NEXT!

Please call Stel… THANK YOU, NEXT!

stunning play, Bravo. Now no one will suspect that YOU are boomshakalaka.

Okay, Tomorrow is submission deadline BUT before the submitters are announced, I suggest that we listeners decide on which file is the:

most intriguing
most obvious (as in, that one HAS to be from)
most surprising
most talented
most creative
most lovely
most must-listen-to-that-one-again
most [fill in your own category]

No PQs necessary - just post here.

I think the most lovely one is the one where someone says:
Please call Stella.

Yeah, you know who I mean.
You rock.

@Kroatz

they are ALL the most lovely then. indeed

I think most talented might have to go to 002 - very convincing accent. As to most obvious, that's obvious.

Most creative? I think 010 and 016 have to share

most intriguing: possibly 008, but that might just be because it's from Satan

most must-listen-to-that-one-again: a 17-way tie (adding in the quail). yeah, cheesy, but they Are all fun

Curse it all, I was too late. >:C

Edit: American people have American accents? For some reason I find this very confusing.

Too late? tut tut It's still 3 Dec where I am, and no time zone was designated.
Let's hear it, Aqua Lung!

Get up, damn you! GET UP!
LOL – to whom are you making this demand?

I am sure it is not to the following good sports who decided to let the world hear their voices. Specifically:
Anthony Mercer
ayesinback
blindsk
DracheLehre
elektro
Faliat
gene hole
gullas
Kroatz
Niccea
ozoneocean
Product Placement
Rain27
rokulily
seventy2
skoolmunkee
the quail

Now — who did what?

Aqua. I suspected he may be asleep which was why he hadn't posted anything.

Also, how do we make guesses? A numbered list?

the audio is labled 1-x

just write the name, and the (what you think is) associated number.

Good point.

If the folks who sent in a file want to PQ their guesses to me so that they don't give away their own file, I can tally them up and post the results later (let's say 17 Dec)

For those who didn't upload a file, guess away via post, or PQ if you like.

All guessers with corresponding guesses would be included in final tally.

if someone has a better plan, now's the time to suggest.

You could create some crazy, indecipherable code with which we'll submit our answers. Each word will take about twenty minutes or so to translate, hopefully deterring anyone motivated enough to want to crack it. It will even include a system of prime numbers. It will be beautiful!

Eh…better yet, I'll just message you.

Notice of New Guideline re Contest

Actual identification of the 17 files available at http://www.mediafire.com
email: drunkduck100@yahoo.com
password: 100voices

will not be made until there have been no fewer than 30 individual guesses.

re: listening to the files, they do have to be downloaded to be listened to, but I think they're safe. I've downloaded them all, and so far nothing crazy has happened.

So please listen to the brave souls, namely

Anthony Mercer
ayesinback
blindsk
DracheLehre
elektro
Faliat
gene hole
gullas
Kroatz
Niccea
ozoneocean
Product Placement
Rain27
rokulily
seventy2
skoolmunkee
the quail

who contributed to the community, and guess who's who.

or there could be moaning/groaning to come - no one wants that - yes, that's a threat - sorry

Well, there are a few clues in the What The Heck thread that starts at http://www.drunkduck.com/community/view_topic.php?tid=54583&cid=1642.

For example, Kroatz wrote:

My voice sounds like the sound of thunder, dipped in white chocolate and filled with liquid gold.

Obviously only one file meets that description. And there may be other gems as well.

Also, feel free to provide clues to your own file as you like. It's easy - here, I'll do one right now: I (ayes) have a female-sounding voice.

Well I'm sure mine would be obvious anyway, but I guess I'll provide one hint.

It's got more than one voice recording in it.

And wouldn't it be a bit more interesting if we each recorded another voice file accouncing which number we are at the end and linked to them in a post?

Ladies, Gents and Sundry

I am pleased to announce that 50 Golden DD points have been awarded to the player who, today, sent in the first list of guesses (So Momentous)! And the bar has been set at six correct.

A big clue is to look at the early posters in this thread, (later posters may not have contributed), look at the order that they're in and compare that to the voice number order. ;)

Also, think about the accents on the posters here. If you know the countries they're from it helps. Some people are very simple to guess because of that :)
…although more people are American.
Also, knowing the gender helps too.
