Mafia XXXIX: The Return to Townston Tradition

I certainly did not have Niccea explain it to me and anyone who says otherwise will be killed by my mafia minions… I mean lynched….for being mafia.

As the secret patron dinosaur saint of mafia, I shan't forsake those who don't make election posters! (Although if it's unfair to the people who did make posters it's cool if they don't count, since they'll still count SYMBOLICALLY. -high five-)Oh, dont just pick on Hark, verbally rape everyone :)And Ran gets the secret masochist award/hat.

When I have to start picking people out of a hat to randomly lynch, you guys who haven't told me a role will be first to go!

ParanoidThe paranoid doesn't know that he's the paranoid. Anyone popping up to say that he's a townie is a potential paranoid (and also a potential mafia member).
The paranoid is a wee bit unhinged by his experiences in some horrible and bloody war. During days, he's perfectly normal but during the night he keeps to himself and relives the horrors of his past. The Paranoid will kill whoever was the first person to target him in any way during the night, whether it be mafia or townie (such as a paramedic opting to protect him). The Paranoid is unable to NOT kill, but will only kill one person a night. Should two persons interact with him during the night, the first person will die but the second will not. Special note, investigation powers can be used on him without fear of death since the Detective is merely investigating him and checking his background and is not directly interacting with him. Also, the paranoid is not aware that he's insane and thus believes himself to be a normal townie.
This is a rule that changes quite often, depending on the GM. In some games, the paranoid is aware of his identity; in others he's not. That's why I usually make a point to check to see which variation is being used at any given time.
Night 1
Product Placement couldn't sleep. He kept playing the days elections over and over in his mind. “I'll go for a walk” he decided.
Out in the park the sky was visible, despite the best efforts of the city lights. The fresh air stirred his thoughts “Harkovast will be a great mayor. As insane as he is, no evil person can predict his movements, assuring a clean town by weeks end. But who is evil these days?” He passed a man laying on a bench.
“Baaaaah. Why are you so loud? You're interrupting my nap”
“Oh! Sorry.” replied Product Placement.
“Crap…It's you.” the man replied. “The Boss says you're the sharpest sword in town. We can't let you live. I was hoping you'd be out somewhere else. I don't want to work tonight.”
Product Placement realized he was about to be murdered. His mind spun up quickly, finding exits, attack and defense strategies, weapons, and even cover. Product Placement's mind was so busy it never recognized the gun, or the muzzle flash.

Salsa was working on his most depressing case ever. He had been hired by family members of someone who threatened to commit suicide. He spent the last few days talking to friends, and learned the person Loved to talk of themselves. A lot.
Salsa was done investigating, and was going to talk directly with the person. It's always best to have an upfront conversation. He knocked on the door. A chair crashing against the floor greeted the knock. Salsa panicked. Getting lots of space for a run, he threw himself into the door, knocking it down. In the entry way there was a rope hanging from the ceiling, and under it a a stool on the floor. The halway was empty.
Confused he turned around, only to be met by thugs blocking the door. They picked him up, while another man came from behind, and replaced the chair. Salsa struggled and kicked against the men, but it was obvious they were unaffected, and weren't using their full strength to subdue him. One man bear hugged Salsa, as the other slipped the rope around his neck.
The Third man came around into Salsa's view. “You wouldn't have been much of a threat if you had just run for mayor quietly. But coming out and admitting your were a privite eye? Well, you just have to go. And one more thing. Suck it because i'm back”

The God Father personally kicked the chair out from under Salsa the Detective. Who then died.

Elsewhere a hitman observed his prey. But then pretty and shiny prey caught his eye. When he looked back, his original prey was gone.
The paramedic ran around all night for no reason.
So TFGM just randomly tells me "Oh by the way, you're in the Mafia game…" I didn't really want to play, but since I'm here, I guess I'll stick to it.
It is nice to live past the first night, for a change.
I agree with Random's analysis and will most likely join him in voting for l33t. As for the other murder, I seem to focus on the one outstanding word in the first kill, "muzzle." That word seems to point to me just as much, if not more than it does to Hark, 'cause I have a muzzle in my avatar, and he really doesn't. But I'm a Townee, and he's still a furry, and honestly, I'm just looking for a reason to get him lynched, which brings me to my next point: "sharpest sword." There are swords in Hark's comic. The bottom line is, I'm not really a fan of Hark's random demeanor (sorry), nor the fact that he insta-lynched our Townee pardoner (who is a nice person), and most importantly, he never sent me anthro porn. In reality, that means nothing, since I already have all the decent anthro porn on the internet downloaded to my computer, but the fact that he didn't even try to appease the one other true furry in our group… For shame… Anyway, vote for Hark and l33t.
By the way, Harkovast's art is lacking in both quality and penis.
