Ranting about pageviews again, go me -__-

Seems like no matter what I do i'll always just get 3500 per day on average. That's how it's been since forever and that's how it is now even if i advertise it. If it ever goes up it simply falls back down- just stays in that area.
Luckily, i'm starting not to care anymore, my obsessions getting kind've boring each time i hang out with a friend-so progress is made. joy!

Ugh, the accommodation people are doing room inspections because someone got hurt due to 'poor housekeeping' and they don't want to get sued. So now I've got to clean my room before they get here, which is not going to an easy task.

On the bright side, I found half an abandoned pizza while I was taking some rubbish out.

Meds are the work of the devil. Throw them out or you will go to hell.

Kyupol, how are you still alive? I'm pretty sure most people like you wander into traffic or something by your age.

Because it is the will of God that I live.

Your God I suppose.

Now go back to your planet and leave Earth alone.

I do not believe in god, I believe in an omnipresent force of nature that happens to be made of metaphysical custard, hence my name.

I think it must take about an hour to watch an episode of Lucky star…
Which lasts about 20 minutes. Mainly because in almost every sentence, they say something in Japanese in the subtitles, and I have to pause to read the tiny little explanation of what that means at the top.
It's usually something like "This means "Sorry for intruding""
COULD THEY NOT JUST PUT THAT IN THE SUBTITLES!?

*Is unhappy*

bleh….just bleh….

i have too much free time, and nothing to do…i have no clue when we're going home…and i dont think they even know….oh, and you all know who they are….my marriage is worse than on the rocks, i dont even know a term…it's the titanic…it's sinking fast, but there may still be a chance to save at least something from it….also i've only been sleeping in 4 hour increments, meaning that time in my head seems to be going by fast, where area's i just sleep 2-3 times in the same day…and then makes me mad when i realize it's still the same day it was when i went to sleep 2 times ago….

and everyone already hates portal, which i just played for the first time and beat yesterday….i think it was yesterday…

post. script.
i'm getting homesick…and i've never been homesick before, i've always enjoyed my time out of the home…..it was always great to get back…but i had fun while i was gone….and this feeling is new to me, and makes me depressed to the 20th degree….

Don't you hate it when the closest your favorite band is playing live is three hours away, and when they only play outside where the sound isn't as good and you have much less chance of actually seeing them save for maybe on some stupid screen?

I'm still trying to decide if it's worth the money and the travel…I think it would be just to hear them live once, plus they so rarely tour the US. But…KONSARNIT RADIOHEAD don't you realise how bad us shorties standing in the back lawn have it?!

I have not been able to update my comic in weeks!
I am just a beginner who is doing it for fun and do not have a reader base or anything, but it still sucks.
Why are you not allowed to do the things you like before the boring things!?

That reminds me…

I had a birthday the other day. And my grandfather died.
Two shitty things on one day. YAY! \^_^/
…I don't mean that… -the yay part. :(

The funeral for my other grandfather was held on my birthday a few years before.

Birthdays suck. -_-

a rock and a hard place….i'm going thru all the degree's out there, seeing what appeals to me….because i can have anything i want, as long as it's a bachelor's, for free…and everything that appeals to me, has no place in indiana..it's all based on blue collar….and that's not what i want…they dont have the jobs that i want….i can't be a blue collar worker, eventually that's going to fall too, and i wont be able support any family…i dont think she understands that now…that one of the reasons i love my job (besides travelling) is that it guarentee's a paycheck. every 2 weeks i'm going to get paid, i wont be laid off, ever (unless i'm really stupid). it puts a roof over our heads, food on the table, and the occasional shiny object somewhere on her body….(ears fingers and belly button perverts)….

i dont think she understands the importance of having that security….and it's killing me to know, that everything i want, wont be able to do any of that, regardless of where we are, but even less so in indiana…and i dont wanna spend the next 40 years working my ass off everyday, to get what i have now…

Was on a bus that had an SUV smash into the side of it today, dunno if there were any serious injuries, I mostly just walked away from it all in a sort of haze. Were I on the other side and a few rows up, I'd have been covered in pieces of glass.

Bitches don't know shit about steampunk.

The main reason I like steampunk is because one of the ideals that some things try and capture (in a small sense, Girl Genius being one of them) is the romanticization of the spirit of invention that surrounded the industrial revolution. Things would constantly be reworked, redesigned, and in a lot of cases, almost patched together while still retaining a good deal of cohesion about them.

This is great, I love this. But the problem that I find is that people seem to be all over the map with it.

Some people will have these weird designs where there's just pipes, gears, steam whistles and emergency vents all over the place. In Girl Genius it seems to go that everything is either too messy, or too clean, even for realisms sake. The problem with stuff that gets too clean is that they streamline it to the point where there's nothing really original about the design, so they have to add all this pointless decal shit to it to make it look like anything other than a cigar with wings.

Fucking hell, steampunk artists. Figure shit out.

They did a "realistic" adaption of steampunk in that dull anime "Steamboy".

What I like about it is the need to use huge, heavy, clunky pieces of steel, like on old trains and mining equipment.

With Pinky TA people often think it's steampunk, but it's not. It looks a bit like it, and it's set in sort of the same period as a lot of steampunk, but that's not intentional. My machines are diesel powered . I think that's more realistic in a way, and it gives you more options aesthetically.

… you could make stuff steam electric powered though, couldn't you?
———————-

ugh. I have to go to a party for work tonight. I really don't like those. Really.
Drinks are free and they're going to pay for taxis home, so there are two good points. I intend to take advantage over both!

Steamboy was dull because it hamfisted its own symbolism and had uninspired characters. Plus, seriously, the steam ball. Seriously. Science, guys, science.

In what I'm working on I eventually do, to an extent, but seeing as everything starts in 1863, I'm going to try avoiding overusing electricity.
