Gaaahh!! Why isn't anyone reviewing anymore? There's a bunch of comics in the review forum well deserving of reviews that are just LANGUISHING there! Doesn't anyone have spare time anymore? :(

why do i even care anymore? i knew what was going to happen. but i tried anyways, why cant i just give up? why do i continually press myself to the limit with this, knowing the outcome every F*cking time… but i do it anyways…and at the next sign of hope, i'm going to jump all in again….why? why dont i just give her the two hundred dollars, sign the papers and just be done with it?….why must i continually put myself in this situation?

I kinda wish they had a time limit for how long they could stay- sure it's unfair, but sometimes comics just aren't going to get 4 reviews.
Give them 15 days of no replys then un-sticky them…move on.

Went to work at 7 this morning and got off at 9 this night. Now I still have a comic to finish and post, and all my school work to finish for 4 classes tomorrow. I can barely form a coherent sentence. Plus, my ex shows up to try and be friends after the shit she dragged me through and I'm not allowed to say all the inappropriate things that I'd like to express towards her because I'm in public.

I miss being self-employed already after two days.

Drug ass ladies making me go hands on resulting in filing out a Use of Force Report piss me off, even when I'm 100% justified.

In other, good news, I've updated both my comics. There's two new pages on Bits and Bytes and a new page for Young Studs.

TRANSFORMING MODELS ARE STILL HARD.

Been working on this for hours now and even drastically simplifying everything seems to fuck me over. Basically I've got this thing where a jet fighter swoops down, the cockpit and nose sort of unfold open, then scoop the pilot up, close and fly off.

This is INSANELY hard to pull off with a rigid body, and I can't hide any geometry anywhere, so I have to do it all the hard way.

Ugh, I know the feeling -_-
A couple of years ago when I made a 3D model of Pinky's SSV5 I had that trouble :(

Because of the specific way the leg struts connect, slide, and pivot it was tricky just to make it walk… And the way they fold up under the belly requires the struts to operate to extremes. I STILL mess it up in drawings (where I have a lot more freedom)Even on the latest pic I'm currently finishing up T__T

It gets worse. I have a sub, power armour and tank that have to do the same thing after this. It's also hard because I want it to look more like an embrace rather than being eaten by military hardware. It's just so subtle that it's near impossible to pull off.

Well if they're rigid, the best way is a LOT of articulation. Which makes things harder to animate, but easier to get the effects you want. You can put a little more grace into the actions with complicated back curves and things to the opening, rather than a straight open and shut kind of operation.

The tank is going to be one of the more elaborate ones, along with the jet. The tank sort of opens up like a top break style revolver, while the barrel flips back as the tank sort of rears up to lower the control seat. The jet does a similar thing, but it absolutely defies the laws of aerodynamics, as it does this while in the air.

I could type a pretty hefty rant right now but ranting about other drunkduckers is probably against the rules.

Computer modeling is easy. Working in plastic is hard. You don't cut your fingers to pieces with an X-Acto blade working in Maya/Lightwave etc.

You don't have "tweezer launch" and watch the most important piece disappear into space and then have to scramble on the floor looking for it.

Of course when you're done you have a beautifully finished assembly of pieces of molded plastic that you can touch and run around the room going "zoom" with and the client loves it and showers praise on your work. :)

But getting there is worth a rant or twelve. Then I wander into my trophy room and look at all the awards these things have netted me and the cash I get for my commissions. It's a hobby that I've been doing for nearly 35 years, I better enjoy it, but that won't stop me bitching about it.

Modelling in plastic, cardboard, metal, wood, etc is fun, but I always give up…

Is that the right flag?

@Bravo

When I did models like that, I took a course fat flat-tip brush, dips a teeny bit of black onto it- then 'dusted' it at the corners of the model. It made it pop and look very nice.(looks neat o on gundams if you have the experience)
If you try it keep a wet paper towel around to dab off fast.

it's the rebel flag!!….but the rebels never had tanks….so maybe he's doing it for some alternate parallel universe comic thing….

sigh…..i wish i could just be the bad guy….

on another note, this shirt is all wrinkled i like it….but i dont wanna wear a wrinkly shirt……and since when did i start caring about the impression i made to other people?….fack…i think i should just stay home and go to work for the next couple weeks….that might be best for my situation…..

but i was never one for being cramped inside….

Uhaul is such a pile of shit company. I reserved a truck well in advance, and apparently reserving doesn't mean horseshit to them until 24 hours before the date you want to move. Then and only then can they promise you anything. Fuck them.

I spent the better half of my day juggling possible 600 dollar fees that I cannot pay to find a moving truck because the lazy hick assholes in my town who run the Uhaul didn't want to fulfill their obligation and drive a bit up state to get the vehicle that is due to me. So now a friend has to borrow their parent's car, and take the day off work to drive several hours to come pick me up, because my campus will be closing tomorrow at noon. Those fucking faggots nearly cost me my God damn lease which I need to be present at to sign for by Monday.

Never EVER use Uhaul. Their promises don't mean anything, their costs are fucking stupid, and the people they hire like to refer to working there as "coffee money".

GOOD JOB GUYS

My mom just had to go through a bunch of Uhaul crap too. The guy got off lucky as she only called him a jackass. Usually she rips into people. He was a complete idiot.

This word sounds as funny and strange to non-American English speakers and "wanker" sounds to Americans. :)

My best friend is pals with tons of people from all over the world, and because of that he's adopted quite a bit from them. So words like "mate" and "wanker" sound pretty normal to me at least. I tend to use them too as a force of habit. Thankfully I haven't come off as some Madona "I want to act like I'm from another country" prick so far. I hope never too for that matter.

Sorry to hear that man. Also, your mom kicks ass, I had to hold back a lot and resist the urge to go off on the hilljacks I was talking to for most of the time, as I didn't want to risk losing any hope of getting the truck.

In the end I wish I did, because I got nothing and now I have to inconvenience a friend who is already sick and working. :/
