I just had the most overwhelming urge to shred apart how hypocritical ryu's post was
You can't deny it though, most of it is the truth. I did say some rather mean things, but the point isn't to be nice.
I mean heck, I could've gone all out and said that "Any comic that is not original, or hand-drawn is a waste", not necessarily the truth, but I could've said it.

You know, after spending so long trolling and prolonging fights in the TD and other places, I've actually found that deliberately losing is actually more fun. That arrogance you get, as they explain how great they are and why I suck completely, is so much more hilarious than watching them blow a fuse.

Then sometimes I sit up in bed, and think about how pathetic that makes me. I get over it though.

Both majhost and Photobucket stopped responding on my browser few days ago.
And it's been annoying the crap out of me ever since.

That and my internet connection going on and off rampantly.

Or you could try being nice to people. That can be fun, too. Not to say that the odd argument can't be entertaining, but niceness is just better all around.

A-ha at last the prejudice against digital/photographic comics is revealed! I knew it was out there, but I didn't want to bring it up.

People like shit when it comes to art and comics, but once in a while someone rises above but no one will notice unless they're grabbed by the lapels and shook up a little bit.

And of course "truth" about art is entirely subjective. ;)

But You made a comic that ripped off sonic the hedgehog as a main character, drawing it with markers makes it no different than a sprite–

Or you could try being nice to people. That can be fun, too. Not to say that the odd argument can't be entertaining, but niceness is just better all around.
-_- I wish we could get married, maybe you'd stop me from saying idiot things that are going to get my ass banned. ;)

I agree with Bravo, and digital is just another form of art. I could find 50 pics on the web that look hand drawn but are all digital- plus both media can be used in harmony, it's foolish to praise one as the best.

But I'm just being a hypocrite as well, getting huffy at someones opinions on what type of comic is superior to another… when gore vampire comics drive me up the walls. I'm sorry Ryu- No hard feelings over a webcomic discussion right? ;)

Hippy's right Custard gimp. :)

In any case, your humility is pretty cool, no matter if its false or not. Arrogance is all too common on the web.

Exactly :)

Not to a Modernist :)
But to a good Post-modernist yes ^_^
The truth about art though is mine is best! lol!

Make sure you didn't accidentally set your browser to block images from there… I've done that before without realising it apparently (or my browser just decided to do it itself). If you have a browser that blocks images from sites, check out what sites you're blocking.

Well…uhh…that is true…hm. Either I just contradicted myself, or the comic I did was a waste.
But I guess when your a beginner, it's alright to do that kind of stuff.
So yeah. I just kinda disagreed with myself. But whatever. Haha.

Yeaaah. No hard feelings :)

I don't think you can be mean, cutie. If you did you would prolly be banned already, or on 4chan trolling.
And nothing is a original these days, everything's been done before. It's kinda like in high school, at once point everyone thinks they are original…but that's just a farce. Not to say it's a bad thing to draw inspiration for things around you… "Bad artists copy. Good artists steal." Pablo Picasso

Corrolary: Bad writers plagarize, good writers get inspiration.

As far as Modernism and Post-modernism both are considered BULLSHIT! by humanists, free-thinkers and anyone else with a brain (or a Pinky for that matter, narf!) ;)

The truth in art is subjective, the truths in life are objective and proven by reason. (Are you thinking what I'm thinking? Yes, but where would you get tu-tus at this time of night?)

Not really at all since both fit into those categories and more ;)

That's not necessarily true.
There are a lot of things that are taken already, but I'm sure there's a very few original things out there.

You can never know, that's just the thing, there could be somebody on a different continent, that makes something similar to you, and you'll almost never know, unless they post it on the internet, or if it's even somewhat semi-popular.

Doesn't mean they aren't trying hard enough, just that you have to be creative.

Not sure if that made any sense.
But whatev.

Custard is right. And 'very few original things'(i.e.lack of creativity) is no good excuse not to try at all, in fact no excuses should be made at all o_o

You guys should make a thread in Debate and discussion for this, it'd be a nice topic :)

so, i took my Physical Training test today. the test that by other military standards is a joke. the test at which last year i scoured a 94 on. run time counts as half the score, pushups and situps are 10 each, and your waist measurement is 30. this year a i barely scraped by with a 74. my runtime was like 15 minutes. i felt so embarrassed. last year it was 9:47. but i havent ran on a weekly basis since february.

also, when i got out of the shower, i did the man flex in the mirror. and i was quite surprised to see that my right side is abnormally more muscular than my left side. like, it creeped me out abnormal. not upon close inspection mind you, but like immediatly. i flexed and i was like OMG! MY MUSCKALS!! THEY'RE ASYMETRICAL.

and i'm known to have slight OCD. and with it, anything that should be symetrical, must be. (i often take weeks setting up a room to be the best that it can) and so now, i'm all freaked out.

My whole house is pretty cool during the summer, but my room is freakin' ridiculous. Even with air conditioning and blinds and curtains covering the windows (the big windows that I'm assuming is the reason for the constant heat getting in) I'm still sweating in here. My hand keeps sticking to the tablet as I work. =/

I would say investing in a small fan. But not sure if you have money for it, or a ride to the store or whatever.

But I mean, since you usually use a tablet (am I wrong?), then it shouldn't be a problem, and you'd cool off the tablet at the same time *If your tablet overheats*

Just a suggestion though…

Oh, I forgot to mention that I have a fan too, and it's almost always on…it doesn't help much. XP I still sweat and my hand still sticks to the tablet. Maybe I should get a fan that blows a hurricane. XD Nah…that'd be a little distracting with my hair in my face and papers flying everywhere.

learn how to manipulate your perception of reality. Visualize your hands and legs and your whole body being enclosed in a block of ice. You feel cold. Yes. It is cold. There is no heat. Then breathe in and breathe out.

Afterall, this is just a matrix.

Dammit, this headache keeps coming back… I kills it with pills and it slinks back in again to irritate me, threatening to get worse and worse… that's 3 days it's been doing that. It's a mild one most of the time and it does actually go away when I take some good pills for it (thank the gods), but I just wish it would STAY away!

Have you been to have it checked out? I don't want to worry you, but my aunty had constant headaches and then discovered she had a brain haemmorage.

Although, I'm not sure how that WOULDN'T worry you, but at least it'll make you get it checked out, right?

…Right?
