I am just not getting into my artwork at the moment so I thought I'd play TF2 for a while… It was going pretty good but then my migraine came back. SHiz.
So I suppose I better persevere with my damn comic page that's late for various reasons… Because I have work tomorrow along with Two different websites to design and build for people. UGH!!!!
Then I have to start on NEXT week's comic page that will also be late and is damn hard to do because its collab and those are hard to coordinate when not everyone does the work and I have to wait for them and then fill in their bit when it doesn't come… :(
for a second, none of the java on my forum page had loaded, so i had thought that all the cool stuff i had gone out and found had been deleted by the owners. (as of right now, my worst fear for the forum). and so i was freaking out about it. but it loaded, and all is well for now….
Christ painterX is hard to use. i know there's a learning curve for all new software but man…i want to even say it's not hard but the design is just weak. I get the feeling that a lot of non-adobe products go through lengths not to imitate adobe
I've got to get my own domain for both plastic and the new comic, i'm a little worried i'll be lonery without DD's warm community/comments but y'know….bigger plans. I hope my cowriter and i succeed with the comic, the story we've come up with so far is pretty damn good- original too. I'd better look into refining a non-manga style tho… otherwise my arts gonna be the only thing holding the comic back. (dun dun duuuun)
I just sacked my writer because I practically had to beat a script out of him which would take him 5 minutes, and I would spend the next 8 hours drawing.
If he didn't want to do 4% of the work, then that's fine by me. On the flip side though, I'm absolutely petrified about writing on my own.

I do have to rant a little about the event, however… First off, the security was moronic. At the entrance was basically two Middle Eastern dudes who's first words as I walked up with my group was, "Purses!! We need to check your purses!" to the two females of the group. I was then told, "Okay. Do you have any guns and knives on you, if not, come on in."
Yes, that was all in one sentence. I didn't show a badge, I didn't say I was a cop, and most people would agree after seeing my pictures, I don't look like your typical cop.
I walked right in fully armed (including a three inch flip knife not hidden on my pocket) and my cousin had his knife. I was a little more than "humored" at this. My other cousin and his girlfriend didn't know I came armed and when I told them, they started laughing. My aunt stated she started showing him her purse and the guy told her, "No, that's okay. I believe you, come on in." In the course of thirty minutes I saw six pistols and only two of those were on cops. The other four were on black gang-banging-pieces-of-shit. A lot of knives on retarded redneck fuckers as well.
Secondly, when I start to go into a place like "A Taste of Colorado", I don't want to be fucking jumped by your political views, regardless of side. What makes it worse is the fact that how they were presenting how great it would be. They were selling t-shirts and paintings which showed Obama in familiar pose right next to(are you ready for this) Che Guevara. The messages were different on each one, but they all had the word Hope and Revolution on it. Several of them said "Revolution for Hope and Change!" To me, that really just kind of says it all for the trash.
As if that wasn't enough, most of the time we would pass one of those supporters, they were arguing with someone! Not over political views, no! They were arguing about trivial shit. "What, mother fucka! You just gna do me like dat?! I said the water only a dolla! Were you from they treat peeps like that?! SHIT!"
Yes…I typed it as phonetically as I could to mimic the way they said it. No, they didn't have Haitian accents or anything like that, these were Americans. Don't let me forget to mention the CONSTANT shouting of "nigger/nigga" throughout the event…not by white people.
I really hate being in LoDo after 11:30…but that's another topic.
I just finished a story that no one will ever read! Yee-ha.
Now to continue the torture I do the scene and character break-downs and set design/re-dresses, prop and costume change lists. Then come the storyboards.
Times like this I wonder why I just don't draw the bloody thing. Oh that's right, I love to heap abuse upon myself.
And I never return phone calls. Something else to beat myself up over. ;)

whenever i hear british people talking….i think for a second that they're not talking english…
my wife wants to be a cop. i want to start a family. my job is dangerous enough as it is.i don't want to start a family, to end up having to raise a child by myself. or even worse orphan the child. (if that's the right use of the phrase)…she's her own person, and has every right to choose….but this is definatly something that needs to be discussed. (i joined the military long before i even thought of her as my beaming bride to be, so dont say i should have discussed it with her). i wish she'd stick with nursing, or something of the like. she gets to help people….and she's not in immediate danger…
Is wife a nurse on the civilian side or in the military? Being a nurse in the military (US Army esp.) can be just as dangerous as being Air Police or regular law enforcement.(though not MPs, that sucks, these days in Iraq you're might as well be an infantryman in a HMMV. My old unit is deploying. They trained up on what Iraq is like, but fire fights? Reinforcing infantry skills? Nope)
I'd rather be an unarmed, unarmored English teacher in Iraq than an MP. Though the wife refuses to accept that career path for me. So I'm on the opposite end of the argument in my family situation.

alot of people don't truly know about the middle east. not all of it's iraq and afghanistan…were i "deploy" to, hasnt had a terrorist attack in nearly 10 years…(i put deploy in quotations because i'm in the air force, and a "deployment" is just a cush couple months from home)…

I really have nothing bad to rant about. I'm finally home after 3 days of work work work work work. I'm just happy to be home, this crappy bed never felt so good. I love <3 <3 <3 my computer. I missed everything so much ^^. It feels so much more comfortable than before. And now I don't have to do anything I don't want to. So i'm going to do absolutely nothing without a smile. XD Just 'cause I can.
My hearing has been getting worse for a while now, but all of a sudden I can hear clearly again, but only in one ear. Now everything is loud and obnoxious, just typing on my keyboard is driving me nuts.
The fact that it's only in one ear doesn't help either, just makes it weirder.

The comic is Random Crapola, and I'm holding a competition based on my comic (don't wory it's not hard at all).
The way you win is to come up with an original and funny name for the main character.

Nothing generic, like "Bob".
