I used to get the "do you work here?" "can you help me?" all the time when I'm not working. When I go shopping I try to dress totally unlike any employee would. The guy in the Aloha shirt and baseball cap probably doesn't work for Walmart.

Though he is useful to listen to when in the rotunda of the capitol building in Williamsberg VA. "Hey you know who is in each picture?" Even if I do act like an extra teacher when around student groups. "Keep quiet and put away your phone… I'm trying to learn something here."

Oz, I'm envious I'd love to go out and visit USS Midway. I've only ever been aboard Essex Class Intrepid and Yorktown.

Also im guessing youre not a big fan of Pokemans then since you dont get the reference in the avatar.

I stopped following pokemon back when there were still 150 of them. Never played the games.

And regardless where the reference is from, "Passerby Boy" would be a terrible crime fighter name.

And since nobody else asked… how did it go?

I'm literally on the verge of tears. My knee is killing me. It's the same pain from last october. I can't take another month break from running. that will kill me. that added with the shoulder pain returning, is giving me serious doubts of being able to reach going into pararescue in the next year.

I mean, this is something i've worked hard to achieve for a while, just dropping it to focus on healing… It's needed, but i'm afraid that in the healing process i'll lose my over all focus.
i took a 2 week break last month. why can't that be enough? dammit. i need some time alone to think about these things.

The suburban areas outside of the city here are so green and wet! Lots of water. That's very unlike where I come from… the vegetation back home is drier, as is the land! It's summer in San Diego and yet the whole place looks like Perth does during a particularly wet winter- which we haven't had in a while. Very chilly and humid here!

I just spent the last 4 hours transferring every one of my two hundred some strips from my journal comics to a duplicate with a better name. It wouldn't have take so long if google chrome hadn't kept freezing up almost every 4 minutes.

The good news is I, now, don't have a crappy name for my comic, and have a new intro page.

The bad news is, I'm going to have to find a way to tell the few readers I have who read my original that it's been duplicated and not deleted forever.

Looks like I missed the beginning of the video stuff? That's what I get for being 8 hours ahead of comic-con. Right now it's just the back of someone's shirt. I guess comic-con isn't that interesting at 1:30am. :]

But then life can be long stretches of unremitting boredom puntuated by brief moments of intense activity, but I don't want to see it on live TV that's what C-SPAN is for.
