Hey kids!

What time is it now? It's Happy Birthday Time for AQua_ng!!! (woo woo!) And if you can trust Wallace and Grommet, there's nothing like a bit o' cheese.

(Just substitute "mod" for "prez")

So, however you like to look at it (last year of teeny bopping before the third decade sets in?), hope it's the start of a great year.

Mine's two weeks after September 11th.

Does that count as one?

No, only if it's on the 11th or one of the three days after that. So, I guess Just Pit and me. Pit Face, I feel so connected right now. It's like we're one ridiculously handsome person in two very different bodies, thinking nothing alike.

i know it! i feel like somehow having birthdays on Patriot Day makes us some how fuckin amazing.

First day of school…suuucks
My poor friend got bullied immidietly when she walked into the class…I couldn't beleive that 18-year olds were capable of behaving in such a way.
They were laughing and screeching like monkeys, and one guy opened a window so we wouldn't choke from her smell -.- .
I just stood there typing on my cellphone, yes,I feel bad about it,but I tried talking to them numerous times before but they don't give a **** what I have to say as usual.
But fortunetly, she sort of "doesn't" get sarcasm despite being very intelligent, and after talking afterward, she didn't seem upset at all.
Regardless, this doesn't make it right.Sorry for the vent guys, but I'm still shocked by today…I tought there is a certain age when you outgrow this sort of childish behaviour.

It's got so cold here,and I only have 1 longed sleeve shirt.This is a shopping emergency =P

Yeah, I used to be the kid walking in and getting laughed at…

Same here. Until I started hitting the weights, and kids just kind of became intimidated by my size and my deadly stares. I just scare the shit out of people now (not my friends though). It's weird. I'm like the "friendly giant" even though i'm really not that tall. I'm only like 5'11, but I weigh like 197.

Senior year starts tomorrow. Les' do this.

Surprisingly I don't get made fun of a lot. At least not to my face. Which is strange because I'm short, have a speech impediment, I'm definitely a nerd, I'm a ginger, I wear funny hats, etc.
I think I tend to stand up for myself pretty well, though. The last time someone tried to harass me they all got in a lot of trouble, and I didn't really get upset or anything. So probably not worth it for them, I guess.

She has something like Aspergers so she managed to piss off or creep out a few people that acctually tried talking to her cause she seemed rude, but she wasn't.

I'm her only friend.She can't make any :/
What's worse,my friends also dislike her and refuse to go out if I invite her.
My friend is quite strong and athletic and I don't daubt she could beat up even guys, but:
1.Our school only reacts to phisical bullying, and she would take the blame
2.It won't make people like, they will just avoid her more

But she seems very happy the way she is =)
And today was better, nobody was mean to her or anything

Regarding me : My other friend is on a class trip tp Prague and I miss her alot
I have terrible time getting up for school, and I can't fall asleep in the evening :/ I felt sick AGAIN in the smelly city bus and I planned to go to Mcdonalds, but I am too tired(but not enough to fall asleep apperently)

Guess I'll be using this thread more and more lol!

and 1 really big friend can be useful. i had this friend named Joe, big huge viking metal type dude. you dont find alot of those in WI. anyways, big dude. and when i'd try to get down the halls, Joe'd bellow. he'd raise his arms in the air and go "HHHRRRAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!" and seriously, pepple would get out of the fuckin way real quick, hahaha!verry handy to have!

That's a shame. Does she have any common interests with them? Taste in music? TV shows? Similar sense of humour? Interest in the same sort of fashion? Art?
Common interests are a great way to bring people together- witness Drunk Duck ^_^

Ah well, glad she's happy!
With intellectual bullying- if you don't react to it the way people expect, or if you don't care about it, then it can't really have any effect. So that may make them quit.

That reminds me of the massive Chinese guy I had as a friend in my final year of highschool, Hu. He was a giant. Anyone looked at me funny with him near and he'd make them piss themselves.

those are definatly people that ya'd rather have on YER side than NOT on yer side!

and that's to bad about yer friend Plague, it can be really harsh palce. kids can be nasty. real nasty. but like Oz said, if she's doin fine then really, hats off to her!it takes a mature person to be able to push all that lame bull to the side. when you get into college and shit, it's the inmature that ussually get left behind. ussually anyways. just keep being a good friend to her. it'll mean alot. if one of yer other friends ever ask ya why you bother hanging out with her. tell em up front. that'll be yer chance to be her PR guy.

Maybe I'll watch Battle of Britain again.

i found out a couple years ago that it requires a fly over.

we were told they were going to hold a solemn ceremony, and not to interfere, but if we wanted we could watch.

I was on night shift and i had to be in bed when it started. (this was at a deployed location btw). And suddenly my bed started shaking, then the trailer. next thing i know i hear jet engines screaming at a level they should not be at.

I jumped out of my bunk bed, and ran for the door, i was positively freaked out.
——————–

don't know and prolly will never know when i'm leaving.

To the bully talk:

I'm a quiet guy offline. I don't got a big group of friends, I'm not the top of the popularity chart, and I'm definitely a freak.

But a smart tongue can help you out. And not taking shit.

To the old people:

Do they ever grow up?
The annoying High Schoolers?
It'll be a pain in the ass should they turn into that guy from Back To the Future.

To Plague in particular:

Tell them to fuck off and stop being selfish.
I have a friend with anger management, a cousin with Autism (it's real guys), and a psycho mom who believes in "magic healing".
You stand up for her Plague.

I, today am going to rant a bit about my mom and dad not actually getting the divorce.
And them looking like idiots.
And losing a bit of my respect and patience.
And that the bills are piling up and I may lose electricity entirely.

Oh hey look…I ranted.

Yes they do and you'd be surprised how many remember you even though you won't remember doing anything memorable. Well I didn't think I made an impression on anyone… turns out I did. Who'd a thought.

And some of the girls you thought were kinda cute but not worth looking at in school? They become drop dead gorgeous when they're 40 and they find you on facebook and you see the pictures of them in bikinis after their second kid.

Some People get mature with age and the bullying goes away and all the obnoxious behavior subsides.

Then there are your old Army buddies. They always remain immature and obnoxious.

Into their mid-twenties those bullies still suck, but i've learned to deal with them to make them shut up.

Battle of Britain? You might find this interesting then :D

That's just the most famous one too cause it had a novel written about it which was mandatory reading in school… Man, when I think about it, 2/3rds of the reading material in school is either WW2 or WW1 or the period when Poland was officially off the maps and our writers had to risk prison/death for spreading Polish language or flee to France or something.

Do the bullies grow up? Some. I've met one in the supermarket few months ago. A totally different person! All smiles and friendly, he said hello THREE times to me as we were passing each other in the store. Weird.

Two more I'm not so sure about. One looks pretty bad these days (and stinks of smokes like he was made out of tobacco himself) whereas the other one I saw some years ago as he was kicked out of cinema trying to get into LOTR premiere without tickets. Heh.

As for the girls? I woyuldn't know as I haven't seen most of them in a decade. Gah! Time flies too fast!

I hardly remember anyone's name from highschool, except close friends, and I wouldn't recognise anyone if I met them- I have a horrible memory for name and faces. I even forgot most of the people I went to art collage and university with.
I'd be flattered if they recalled me :)

Do bullies grow up and mature? I'd imagine so. I bullied a few kids in highschool and I grew out of that pretty quickly. That sort of thing isn't good for you as a person.
I still do have a nasty streak that surfaces occasionally, though mostly only in the form of a caustic remark or two.

I had a dream that i was promised a fighter spot if i got out, and went back to college.

Even in my dream i was torn between my plans now, and my all time dream of being a fighter pilot.

this was not a good way to start the day. :(

I've met some of the veterans since a number of them live in New York or came over for the WWII 50th anniversaries back when I was contributing kits to museums. If drinking never try to keep up with a Pole. You'll be under the table before their speech is slurred. I have markings for a few of their planes stowed away in my model collection but so many markings variations and so little time.

I'll finally be making the full report on my accident for the disability carrier. And my neck is hurting more and more as the days pass. That means I'm healing and the mustache is coming in nice and thick and hiding my still swollen lip quite well.

You are right, she is very confident and she feels sorry for people who vent their frustration on others lol! She is indeed incredibly mature
It's alright now,we are all back in our cliques and pretend other people don't exist lol!

We got a new croatian teacher who is a very nice lady(she is also the school librarian) and we will only take verbal exams =)
But we got our horrible P.E. teacher back =(,but she will go to pension around December so it's allright
I forgot to pick up the paperwork for I.D,and my 18th birthday is in 10 days,so yeah…gotta hurry

Oh grandparents are the worst for that.
When my grandmother saw my senior pictures for high school, she exclaimed "If you hadn't told me this was you, I'd never have believed it! It's BEAUTIFUL!"

I've since lost weight and fixed my overall image, so I can hear her disbelief even now…she'd never have believed it! Ahaha.

Same here, I have a terrible time remembering names and faces. I suppose I should work on some memory tricks for that. It's extra bad because now most people here remember me (even if they don't know my name, like the supermarket checkers) because I'm American, which is different, and all the time I'm like 'shit, do I know this person?'

I'd probably just be embarrassed if anyone at my high schools recalled me. I have this perception that if I did anything memorable it would have been something embarrassing, even though that's not how I think of other people. Actually a couple years ago I got a letter from my high school inviting me to the 10 year reunion, I could not figure how the hell they tracked me down. Only the IRS had my england address.

I go out of my way to do things quietly and without most people noticing. I mean sure, some people will recognize me as that one Indian kid who sometimes draws, but to most poeple I'm under the premise I'd have never existed to them.

On the topic of bullies, it doesn't really happen to me too much. But when it does, I really start to spaz out and say stupid things that lead to more bullying. So if I had a suggestion to stop the abuse, I'd probably say to keep your mouth shut/ignore them forever.
