I don't know how I end up with these problems. For one of my classes we have to find an article that relates to what we are working on in class and write a summary about it. I had to do the same thing a couple of weeks ago. It took me five hours to find a related article (from 5pm to 10pm). Now I have to do it again. I found an article and I'm just hoping that it works. I guess I really need to pick better subjects to do research on.

Last week it was the affect of exercise on intercranial pressure in comatose patients.

Now it is preventing falls in diabetic patients with peripheral neuropathy.

today in figure drawing, i had a weird 'improvement' lapse.

ie: like how people look back a year or so to compare how much they've changed and improved in their art.

imagine that except the time difference was 5-15 minutes. I am befuddled.

I sent the school two transcripts, which they didn't apply for some reason, then physically carried one in and made sure it went to the right place. I was as always completely civil through all this, so in return they proceeded to somehow not transfer my credits, again, and deny me admittance for the next semester, because my credits aren't transferred.

I seriously cannot think of another thing that I could have done. Dealing with them is basically like living in Kafka's The Trial. Eventually they'll send a couple well-dressed fellows over who will very solemnly show me my non-applied transcript and then straight-up shoot me in the head 'cause those credits aren't in.

Wow i have a 1.5 terabyte drive now. It's so unnecessary, like a small hummer. A small hummer with an unnecessary amount of lights that are going to disturb my sleep. Seriously it's a giant ass christmas tree, the quiet muted box LIES.

Oh well i no longer have any excuse to delete anything other than the fact that it encases me in a cocoon of horror, hoorah.

It's not unnecessary. you must now fill up this hard drive with your favorite items. It's not a half empty thing, it's a quest! and you now have the almost unlimited bag of holding. use it wisely young one…

I see life as a race. and i'm far behind everyone else. Mostly due to my own laziness. I have several high school friends that are doctors. some are pilots. cops. etc. etc. (if i had an astronaut friend i'd be outright pissed). me? i'm just a guy who fixes computers. doctorates, masters, bachelors. i aint got none of those. all i need is two classes and i could get an associates. but i don't.

When i achieve my goal (which wasn't even my goal in life) i will be 27 at the youngest.

this makes me mad at myself.

Ozone is right Seventy2 - I am 45, the living embodiment of the term 'arrested development' and not even close to deciding what I want to achieve, let alone actually achieving it. I am King Of Cockheads!

What does it matter? Are those people happy with all their fancy qualifications and great jobs and flash cars and executive homes and money and success? Of course not - they are bloody ecstatic, the bloody bleeders.

And this site is indeed running shite.

edit: I'll be glad when we get to the next page; that waxwork at the top is giving me the creeps.

So here's my contribution to move it on to the next page. And I appreciate the mentions of how the site slugs today - thought it was my laptop.

Re the race 72 mentions, I out-age ironscarf (youngster) but still know too well what you mean. As much as it's impossible to always avoid comparisons, try to anyway because, unless it kicks you in the butt to Do something, there are so many assumptions made about where somebody else is that just may not be true, and then you've denigrated yourself on appearances only.

There are mistakes and regrets, and we all get our share. I sort of think of mistakes as what we do and regrets as what we don't do. Do you have a bigger list of Ms or Rs? Checking that out can become a starting point of how you can change things if you want to.

Sorry if this sounds condescending. I'm old. Furthermore, I would be proud and happy to accept nominations for the Grandma Moses of DD. Wait, maybe I'm not That old.

Do a hard drive back up. That'll fill up a good 80-90 gb if your computer hard drive looks anything like mine.

Since its coming up to Halloween Im watching movies each week representing the theme of the holiday with my girlfriend. Since shes timid and easily frightened the hard core scary movies have to remain unwatched. Ill watch them in my own time. Were having a vampire weekend this weekend and next weekend its slayer weekend. Although being vampire weekend i had to watch twilight(Apparently they where vampires… I dont get it). >:|. But we watched it with rifftrax so it was actually hilarious. Tomorrow we're watching interview with the vampire and Bram Stokers Dracula. I dont care if it freaks her out. I'm forcing her to sit through it. I sat through Twilight so its only fair.

Need "classic" monster movie suggestions. Then again I'll probibly just end up renting teen wolf and Van Hellsing.

I'm really surprised Hung is not a comedy…i mean it's about a divorcee who becomes a gigolo and has to raise two sexually ambiguous fat goth tweens, while his pimp is a hippie. How the hell have the writers managed to not make that funny?

I hope it gets better and stops taking itself seriously.

Hung
I saw that while I was lying in all morning lazing around in my hotel room in San Diego. I also couldn't believe it wasn't supposed to be a comedy. They kept setting up these crazy situations and playing them for the drama… It's like they have warring writers- one group wants to go for the funny, then the others come along and sabotage everything.

———-

Here's a mystery:
I found a poor little baby gecko without a tail in my kitchen. It was moving pretty sluggishly so I took it out into the sun and set it on a garden wall. When I went out to see it again it was climbing down the wall, fell off and landed on the ground… but it's a small lizard so it was ok. I think.
anyway, I then put it in the shade of a rock at the top of the wall and gave it a drop of water to drink.

When I came back to check on it again about an hour and a half later, it was still there under the rock, but it wasn't moving. I touched it and it didn't move, so I picked it up… Both eyes were sucked deep back into its skull and its whole body was thinner (tight around the bones) as if something had sucked it dry.

What could have caused that? Sudden emaciation isn't a typical symptom of death as far as I know… There were some ants around, but not really paying much attention to the gecko.

Some nasty spider? I know there's some wily black funnel-webs that live inside the holes in the rocks out there…?

I'm pretty lonely over here.
——–
Also, that creeps me out ozone. i had a dream that happened to my dog. :( he started peeing everywhere and then he dried up because he couldn't stop. really weird
———–

Taking the past tomorrow night! i can go all out on the run, and the pushups and the pullups, because the swim is last! before the swim was first, making everything else a real hard thing to do. but since i'm an excellent (read just below average athletic) swimmer, even if i'm real tired, there's no way i'll fail! (barring any accidents)

I'M SO EXCITED. instead of knowing that i'll pass it, i now feel like i'll somewhat damage it with my scores. (not quite obliterating like one of my friends did. 8 min swim, 8 min 1.5 run, 18 pullups, 75 pushups 75 situps…that naturally gifted jerk)

Today officially sucks.

My three kids are driving me up the wall. Took them out to play and all they did was fight, went to visit an elderly relative and they were mostly good until my three year old daughter went to the loo. I told her not to lock it (she has locked herself in before at home and I had to force the lock) as soon as I finished the sentence she locked it. I then spend a while trying to get here to unlock it, she couldn't. The door was a solid fit for the frame so the key would not fit under the door, the window was old and stiff and she couldn't get that open either. So I had to call a locksmith who charged £80.00 to use what I suppose is a skeleton key to open the door in five minutes. Oh and I had to wait an hour for the guy to arrive with a very scared and upset little girl and two hungry and bored boys.

As we finally are about to leave my eldest decides to smash one of my great aunts garden ornaments.

Walking home the youngest was so tired I ended up carrying him and my daughter who spent over an hour in locked in the toilet wet herself.

What's next?

Both the Murnau original and the Herzog remake!

My suggestions: Hammer Studios. Because any monster/horror movie is BETTER with the addition of Peter Cushing and/or Christopher Lee. Seriously (Peter Cushing has ended up my fav Brit actor thanks to the variety of roles he had in Hammer stuff). Even if hampered by slightly bad scripts (at times), Hammer productions are very stylish and quite beautiful Gothic Horrors.
Expect Frankenstein monsters, vampires (dracula or lesbian ones, haha), mummies, wolfmen, freaks etc. Oh, and Cavewomen vs dinosaurs too (those count as monsters, right?)

- - - - -

In other news: My cut finger is slowly healing and is not hampering my typing speed at all anymore… I'm hoping I can get it to the point where I can draw within a week. There's a chance that the next weekend will be an off Saturday one too (since they're still sorting out stuff in the storage) so I could get some drawing done then.

In other other news, my print comic finally has preview images, yay! (shameless self-promotion). The goal? 15 or more sold copies :D

Now I am off to cook food.

I can rant and rave, but today I'd rather complain.

My body hurts from a car accident, and I have only one good kidney so I can't use painkillers for long, and the damp weather is playing hell with the arthritis in my hands. I want to draw, dammit!

I am, however, hoping that my efforts to work around the spine injuries and arthritis can get my art back to where it was years ago… 30 pages in a week would be neat, but right now I'd be thrilled to get 10 or 12 done. Hoping to speed up so I can finish the present story line then maybe do a serious comic, but I don't want to work on that until I can draw faster and better.
