Sorry Skool. If it's any consolation, I've been applying for and working towards a job like this since I started my time on DD. I just got lucky that this firm likes what I do.
If that's no consolation, I'll uh… buy you some cookies and have them delivered or something if I get the job.
I went to the store yesterday. It seems that the winter is letting go finally and everything is starting to melt. There was a scary moment when a HUGE BLOCK OF ICE AND SNOW fell from a roof of a building and smashed into the ground perhaps FIVE METERS away from me. IF I was any faster, who knows.
The funniest bit are parking places. They've turned into a hand wide beds of crushed snow and ice, half melted and fused together, thus making parking a difficult task. I've seen a guy few days ago who tried to stop and couldn't so his front bumper almost got torn off as it went against a pile of shovelled off and iced snow. For a second there the car was hanging by the bumper, with front wheels off the ground and then with a loud LOUD noise it slid down again. The guy literally jumped out of the car to see if there was any damage.
So yeah, doesn't look like there'll be any new snow coming in, but what we have already should probably hang around for days. Still, it was a fun winter over here, as in, actual winter with snow that lasted longer than a week, and since we get less snow htan the rest of the country every year, this year we were also spared most of winter related problems (I think there was a total of a foot of snow throughout the entire thing). I just hope now all of this snow melting and finding its way towards the river won't cause summer floods. Personally I'm on a hill, so no matter how high the water gets, it'll never climb THIS high, but the center of the city is pretty much in a valley and there's also only 10-15 meters for the water to pile up before it gets dangerous.

Yesterday I went out looking for a good hardrive HD recorder for my TV. The ones in the shop I looked at cost between $500 and $1000.
So how come I can buy a little adapter for one of my computers for only $60 and it allows any of my comps to record HD TV as long as the TV areal is plugged into them? That's a big difference in price. The benefit of using a comp is the portability and I can have a lot more HD space, while the expensive boxes are mostly 500gig with only one that was 1000 gig.
the only downside is that the software that came with it was a teenu bit tricky to get the hang off… but then again who says a stupid box would be any easier?
How much did your pc cost then? Hmm? That's the part you're not buying (after all a hd recorders are sort of specialised PCs).

I decided to go to the store to buy something to drink.
Stumbled upon Cola… not Coca-Cola, no… Cola Original. That's the brand name, haha.
It also came as "Cola Light Original" and… "Original Cola ZERO sugar" (the sugar bit is much smaller than the huge ZERO text, lol).

I… I'm a heartless so-and-so so once someone becomes inactive I remove them >>; I'm real OCD about orderliness so keeping tabs on people I don't talk to anymore makes it harder to keep tabs on the ones that I do.

Why do various old users harp on about various ex old users lol?! This is the internet - it's not like they've really gone anywhere, unless they're dead, which most of them aren't. If they were even remotely interested, I'm sure they could find a way to get in touch: but they don't care XD!I've known friends on the net who've died. I've known people who've gone away and done something else for a few years and then come back to the same old networks and sites. Over the years I've seen a lot of people come and go and come back and go and come back again.
Well everything i was moaning about earlier is now cleared up. It was a false alarm. So everythings looking up now and noones got a case of the babys.
Also Acer aspire 5536 is a pretty good laptop. And it only cost £500 (a quarter of my wasted summer…) when i bought it last August. Still perfectly working and ive dropped it a few times by accident. 15.6 HD screen, 4 gig of ram, ATI radeon HD 3200 graphics and half a terrabyte hard disc drive. . Also has a bluray player.
I had to go shopping with my family yesterday and didn't get on the computer for more than ten minutes.
It was the worst day of my life.
I'm really getting sick now…

1337 people only need computers and televisions. No friends and no life just the two best things to come out in technology. But a remote control arm or a butler would be nice. They could roll me around the house…in a chair!
I have a Zune but alas, have not hooked it up to my computer and deleted the Zune marketplace from my computer in order to rid it of viruses. And unless my dad has nothing to do he will never put it back on-the account I use is not an administrator account, soI can't do it.

I have no CELL phone and this morning my windshield turns brown as the plow in front of me kicks up road filth. I run out of washer fluid and somehow blindly navigate to a grocery store to get some. I have to be at work to unlock doors (more important than it sounds). The first payphone doesn't work and the next costs 50 cents per local call, I discover. 50 cents?!

YESSS~ I learned how to use that atrocious pokesav program to make cheat codes, and got a shiny zangoose and milotic(my two favs after gible) Ah… the sweet smell of success mixed in with complete nerdy loser.
I spent a horrible amount of time on it though. It's like HTMl the way it eats up my day just tweaking shit to work right. They're going to look great when hg/ss comes out because shinys get special sprites in them. :)

And to think that on some forums I used to have 2-3k posts within a year. I guess I got my posting habit under control. Either that or as I started to make comics, I stopped having the urge to talk about certain topics as I guess I can more effectively channel certain things through my characters.
I'm observing two used screens right now. One is NEC, the other is Philips. The Philips one has better parameters but there's also only 4 of them on the auction and 2 already sold so… we'll see. Both won't end for over a week or so.
So instead of homework, I'm looking up the Pokemon theme in different languages.
