Have a job interview in two hours. Super nervous. I shouldn't be, because it's basically the job I have now but at a different place, so I know I'll do just fine.
Also, I'm either very cold or terrified or both because I can't stop shivering. : (

chillax and be yourself… usually works for me, except that time when I applied for that candy factory…. *sigh* candy…

Huzzah! my rant is going to be right on par with no job/no money!

So, if you get a job, you get paid. I signed a contract that says i will work without money, Which may very well happen. I'll still be required to go in, and do nothing, all day, only to turn around and go home. I'm glad i bought a bike.

I doubt it will happen, but whatever. I'm good for a month or so.
Over here we have already planned furlough party, since the company guns has already said we won't be doing much more than maybe 1 1/2 hours of pt. We'll be getting krunk and not paying our bills, like the founding fathers intended.

I went through the 1995 govermental shutdown and it was no big deal. It was a lot harder during the previous military budget cuts after Desert Storm when there was no money for anything except showing up.
You gets your money just like the Continental Army got their pay… eventually. Every great military force in history has suffered through pay shut-down/slow-down. The most successful military commanders understood that a happy soldier was one who got paid and fed on time.
The United States Congress has never been known for its success as a military commander. The history of the US military is the US Military being successful despite the best efforts of the US Congress.

A guy in my engineering course has been treated by the police as missing and was last seen on Tuesday. Even though I've only personally exchanged a few pleasantries with him, I'm really worried about him now. D:

They found his body. I really don't how to feel about this now. I…urgh. I don't know.

Are we talking suicide? Tragically that's not uncommon at college. There was a particulary high building at my college and they eventually had to refurbish and replace all the windows because it was regulary used by depressed students as a means of leaping to their deaths.

Ironically, it was called the James Went building. Now demolished.

tragic-comedy. The ironic phenomena of popular suicide spots… -_-

Feeling so horrible, ill, and all around yick! I suspect it has something to do with the chocolate caramel mud-cake I ate for lunch and or the three doughnuts with coffee that I had for afternoon-tea.

UGH! My system just doesn't handle fatty stuff well these days. …mainly because I just haven't been eating much of that sort of thing for ages now.

I was feeling bummed out while riding the bus home today. Then I saw a man in rollerblades carrying a boom box.
Suddenly I felt ok about everything.

@aqua_ng

holy shit that's awful. o_o

——————–

Fucking spiders. We had a cold snap all the sudden and the spiders around here pretty much swarm our warm house whenever that happens. I killed a black widow(or it might have been one of those black widow look-alikes) and not even 3 seconds later one of those big brown wolf spiders comes crawling by. It died horribly.

My cat amazes me though. She's very prissy and delicate, yet everytime i find her doing that 'cat hunch' there's some huge half-dead spider under her. I don't know what else to call the 'cat hunch'. Basically she's sitting still with her head hung and her face all OwO.

Stand by to stand by.

Stuff is falling apart and I getting the usual waves after wave of utter despondancy and pain.

An intervention may be necessary.

Denial is more than just a river, it also describes the current parenting strategy of my brother and his estranged wife. He's more interesting in dating again.

My drug addict brother-in-law (as opposed to the sex offender bro-in-law) just got busted for possession of crack cocaine. There goes three years of sobriety.

That's bad, AQua_ng, I 'm sorry. :[

sorry also to everyone who's said their life sucks, they're ill, or something bad has happened. It hasn't been the best year so far, has it?

I've been seized by a desperate need to ditch work and goof around as much as possible lately. This is a bad thing because most days I work at home. (Plus all the other free-time constructive stuff I don't get done.) I can be pretty disciplined but as the weather gets nicer it's been getting harder and I work slower.

I know this is an insignificant problem in the big scheme of things but I know if I don't either straighten up or force myself to spend the time and money going into the office to work, I'm going to suffer for it. But the rational part of my brain isn't listening very closely.

Brain, in 2 weeks you'll get 11 days off. So knock that off and earn it. >:[

I think this very thing is the source of the funk that has been getting to me for the past week or so.

There's just too much on my plate and when I think I've gotten something done, more just appears. I'm ready to throw the plate out the window, max out the credit cards, and try life as a no-name bohemian on some Caribbean beach.

Diet started at 167.6 lbs, and ended today at 157.0 lbs. my wife lost a little more than that. Starting another 30 days on monday. I ate a donut to celebrate. It was much too sweet for me, and nothing like what i remember them tasting like.

Be a homeless person on Maui. I've seen all the hang-outs and it's not too bad. Big artist community too so if you paint a couple of pictures you can make a living of sorts.

It's the wife's brother and the sister's husband. The women in the family are wonderful. Anything in the family with a Y chromosome is seriously FUBAR.

You guys need jobs where you can leave it all at the office door on the way home. :)

Work has been amping up something chronic this year for me. Last year I had a lot of lovely dead time. Some weeks I'd go into work and not do anything at all. I was Sooooo bored… I didn't know how good I had it.
Well the economic slowdown is well and truly over for us down here in Oz. Work is full on, non-stop. I haven't even got time to check on DD while at work now. :(

I'm actually finding it a little bit stressful. Thank goodness I don't take it home.

So I went and bought the all girl fighting game "Arcana Heart" for my PS2. I'm enjoying this game despite the fact that it seems dated compared to its other two sequels out there. However, my cousin wants to borrow it. No chance of that since I'm pretty sure if he ever returned it afterwards, it'd have a lot of strange dried stains on it… -_-

And now I just woke up from some weird dream… where various Drunkduck characters go up against each other. But they're not wielding weapons of any kind, not engaging in melee combat… instead they're all grabbing their golf clubs and hitting the links. And it's called… TEE-Splosion!

I really need to stop putting bits of Hershey's Chocolate and marshmallows in my coffee when I come home from work in the morning… -_-

I havent seen a paycheck this small since i was a newspaper delivery boy, living in me mum's house.

Oh well, i'm not as up in arms about it as everyone else….although if this had happened a few years ago, i'd be royally screwed.

Belay that. For one more week we're getting paid.

You mean a physical job? :)
They tend to leave you tired so in a way you take them home too.

Meanwhile, I'nm still unemployed, my wrist has been acting up quite often recently and I still haven't fixed the tablet.

Speaking of jobs, I'd happily draw comics for a 50$ pagerate (as long as I could do it in my somewhat simplier and non-crosshatched style) cause then a 10-page comic = as much as I earned the entire month of assembling tv sets.
