@oz: I still have a week before I start work, so I can do a lot of the Patreon setting up if you want. Let me know!

I somehow completely forgot to write my newspost today…I knew what I was posting and meant to do it earlier and then it just slipped my mind. So I apologize in advance for any weird typos or mistakes…it's really late here. :\

One of my wierdest ideas ever…

Take several members of Drunkduck, and create an independent video game development team with them.

Probably wouldn't be the first team to not have a place where we all meet face to face though (we'd all be on the internet).

…..

That's it.  I'm gonna have to stop using that Creme Brulee creamer stuff in my coffee now (because coffee affects my brain in weird ways except keeping it awake which it never does).

We HAVE the go ahead from Brian now, so we CAN take down the ads and get the Patreon thing under way, look for better hosting at a more reasonable cost and all the rest.

Whoa. That is HUGE news, Oz! The front page of The Duck is going to look so good with all the aesthetic custom ads for webcomics and banners that actually pertain to our webcomic community.

The timing is a bit early since you are heading out for holiday soon. Is there any groundwork that needs to be done (such as a banner ad information sheet) or is JNP taking care of all the behind-the-scenes coding work?

There will be, but first well start with Project Wonderful ads.
The form of the info sheet for the ads proper will depend on what we can do with the ad coding, how well go about payment etc.:D

Good show! I've bought a used bicycle to celebrate. A bit rusty, but it's green!

How Old is hillarious, almost as hillarous as Leto's overly litteral tats :D
Batman should have a big trampstamp bat logo on his bum to compete.

Congrats on the green bike Scarf! I'm angling for a new bike… I've been promised one for a christmas present so I'll see how that turns out. My riding skills are rustier than the old treadly that I'm finally chucking out today. :(

I have three bicycles I don't ride including a brand new kids dirt bike left on my lawn a few years ago.  Honestly I can't remember the last time I rode a bicycle.  I prefer to walk these days.

This is the first bicycle I've owned in over 35 years, so it's a bit of a novelty for me. It's true what they say too - once in the saddle it all came flooding back. I freewheeled straight down to the corner shop for a curly wurly and a packet of Kinky Dans.

Kinky Dan, hahaha!
The first time I rode in years and years was in Berlin last year. I was so wobly and shaky on it I thought something was wrong with the bike…
Well there WAS something badly wrong with the bike, but it wasn't the skaing- that was caused by me holding too tight to the handlebars. Once I realised that I was ok.
The problem with the bike was that the brakes were shot, which was hugely dangerous in traffic. :(

It had back pedal brakes too, but even when those work perfectly they're only a teeny bit less dangerous than broken hand brakes.

Ozone, remember how I mentioned I got sick over the weekend. Well My wife got it too. She had to stay home today so I had to attend to her and the baby. That's why ads are still up. I HAVE to finish a picture (shouldn't take but an few hours tomorrow) for a banner I need at the con. After that I'll get the ads down.
You still need to message me the PW ads on FB.

Here comes another typhoon.  When it hits Guam it will be either a Cat II or Cat III typhoon (but for us it's just a typhoon).  Hopefully I still have a house after this…

Crikey - hope it turns out ok Lonne. Hold on tight.

Put in a job application for night work in the supermarket today. I don't really know what goes on in the supermarket at night, but I envisage stacking - lots of stacking. Probably some unloading too.

Devon Legacy now rules DD! Only your money can stop it!!!
BTW I know about the issue with the buttons under the leader banner on comic pages. I'll have to tweak the CSS later to fix that but I have to get back to working on my convention stuff 1st.

Con is tomorrow!

This is so awesome, JustNoPoint! Thank you for getting Project Wonderful ads on the site and thank Oz for getting the Project Wonderful code. It makes sense for a webcomic site to advertise other webcomics.

Cool beanssss I can disable adblock and usurp you.

So someone I idolize gave me a mention on twitter. They weren't kidding about twitter being a must for devs… almost $1000 in backers came from her alone in 8 hours of the mention. I seriously cannot imagine having that kind of power.

But yeah she's sortaaaa the reason I started making gaymes.

Just found out that my Uncle Glenn has died. Feeling pretty sad about it - waited until I stopped crying to call my mom and see how she was doing, and then as soon as she picked up the phone started crying again. It was a pretty ridiculous phone call with the both of us blubbering at each other. He was a lifelong alcoholic so really I've been expecting this call my whole life, but he was always so kind and I always hoped that one day he would get better and it would stick.
