i see a downside to celebrating my birthday at a bar….a hangover and my impression of a sea dragon. too many people were buying me birthday shots.
Remember, people don't buy you shots for YOUR enjoyment. They do it for THEIRS. ;)

I let my old domain name lapse and in six months it was bought by someone else. In fact it was purchased by a family in Washington state for their family website and they're not related to me.

So I went out and found one that should have been purchased but wasn't. With all the other dot whatevers you can probably have that domain you want. I'm waiting for some DH-4 airplane nut to offer me money for mine. (flamingcoffin.com. DH-4s were referred to as "flaming coffins" in WWI. Of course my website has nothing to do with DH-4s though there are several characters who are/were in the Air Force)

So over the weekend googled my site and found out some guy was raving about it on a German website. I can read German so he really was complimenting it. So I have a fan. That was worth a happy dance. :)

Of course I got soaked to the skin by Hurricane Hannah on the way to dinner; it's a big enough umbrella but it's always me getting wet.

OK, I don't do these much, but story time, children.

So Last night I am woken up. I thought that my alarm went off so I looked at the clock and it said 2:16. I spent two minutes figuring out that it wasn't my alarm, that goes off at 6:15, and I could go back to sleep when the phone rings. Now really confused, I pick up the phone and my parents already had, upstairs.
My mother was talking to my neighbor, and I heard "Look out your window there is a fire outside your house."
My mother, "Shit! We gotta call the fire department."
Neighbor, "I already called"
I hang up and walk up the stairs to see how big a deal this really is.
My father is there, and tells me to grab him the keys.
I get outside, and there is my car, rather the car I have been driving, covered in flames.
So, I give my dad the keys, and he moves the car next to that one, away from that fire, as the fire trucks pull in around the fire.
I get back inside to get dressed (I wasn't wearing pants, I just got out of bed), and they told us to evacuate our house.
So, we talk to the cops, blah, blah, blah, and they tell us they think it was arson. Apparently there have been cases around the area (although far away), where people stuck clothes in exhaust pipes, and light them on fire.

To make a long story short, I went back inside and went to bed (tried to sleep) and let my parents finish the paperwork.

Also, it should be noted that my mother was the last person to drive that car, and she left it unlocked, and she had just filled the tank!

Now I'm not supposed to talk about it, so the cops can try find out who it was.
Great way to start a Monday! :D

Heeeeeeeey… That's your fourth birthday this year! You're going to be older than Randal at this rate >.>
Hmm, good excuse to keep getting drunk. ;)

…I knew Sub before he was an Alcho. :(

AllThingsLesbian.com. It's not a comic site, just a community forum. And it's only ONE bad apple sticking in my craw. The others there like me just fine…especially when I made it clear it was obvious how she treated me, and I wasn't going to give a sales pitch about my series to someone who obviously wasn't interested.
She still can't draw. XP

You've got a pretty good idea with the co-promotion. I've had an artist approach me, asked if I would put an ad for my third comic on the inside back cover of his, and I liked the idea so much I asked him for his ad. So we're co-promoting. A great idea if everyone is comfortable working with each other.

@HouseofMuses

Link to that forum? :D

Lookin' into me own domain, god there's so many options. And i've got to pick one good for webcomics,
http://bluecrashkit.com/cheese/9_web_host_listings_free_and_paid
Glad someone made a tut for it.

I figure i need to find something that will let dreamweaver do it's business, and then use 'cpanel' later. I have no clue what i'm talking about.

I was thinking of dreamhost, but now liquid host looks cool. Also i have to think of a name for the site…

And plus i've always wanted to have like 2 other yuri comickers working with me, like our 3 comics would be promoted together. And we'd invite bloggers and have a 'relationship' froum so the site could have other things besides comics.
I'll have to get really popular before anyone would want to join me, and even then i'd be mega picky who i chose. (good art, unique plot(not just yuri) and a hit level close to mine)
I think i could do it in 2 years or so

thanks muses :P

So i went with dreamhost, no one took my ultra preppy misspelling of the previous name-it's still catchy i guess but guys are gonna think it's weird.
I get unlimited bandwidth and unlimited everything else for 70$ a year thanks to smackjeeves promotional thing. only problem is i'm not sure what to do now… the cpanel is scary

Once again, I believe I may have stuck my own foot in my mouth that it's coming out the other end. Somehow, I think I might have unwittingly asked one of the girls in my illustration/storyboards class on a date. How I always manage to do this to myself, I will never know. God knows, if I actually realized what I was doing at the time I asked her if she wants to go somewhere with me, I would have proceeded to screw it up and make the biggest ass of myself possible. On the plus side though, she is rather cute. Now if I can just avoid screwing up now that I realize what I've done.

Other rant is that I can't breathe and my throat feels like it's about to close up. I'm allergic to something in those Camel turkish brand cigarettes and my roommate smokes them heavily. Every time I walk into our place I get a huge blast of leftover smoke from him and his friends in his room until I can get to my room and stuff towels in the door. It makes me want to throw up, and I can't get any work done at home. I don't have a studio at school any more now that I've switched schools and trying to work at home while feeling sick takes all the enjoyment out of my hobby. I keep wanting to practice and work on my next comic project, but I can't stand being inside.

-rag across mouth soaked in water.
-put gunpowder in his ashtray
-punch him in the mouth while he's smoking.
-spray fly spray on his cigs while they're in the packet.
-inject a small amount of water inside each one.
-etc.

It's all fair tactics. After all, he's thoughtlessly using chemical warfare against you

Oh gods I am SOOOOOO tired!!!!!!! UGH! REALLY heavily tired… and I'm stuck at work. 2 more agonizing hours to go… WIth nothing to do except draw people as elevs for a promotional Christmas card. Easy-peasy-booby-squeezy except I can't work when I'm so0000ooo sleepy.

Which means you're more than tall enough to punch him square in his nuts. >:)

I have discussed this with him. I've also discussed the unwanted noises coming from his room every time his girlfriend is around. I'm planning on getting a bull horn so that I can stand outside the door and announce to the world in the loudest, most vulgar way I can think of, that he's getting laid and that nobody should interrupt the proceedings.

The chemical warfare concept is sounding better and better. He's a nice guy and all, but I think it's time he thought about quitting. >:)

I'd hate it when people "would make funny noises" whilst your showering in the dorm showers.

Then I figured, I'd have some fun. Finish showering ASAP, don my gas mask and assault suit/gear. Storm into their stall yelling raving, and then run out.

As for me bitchin, USPS and US customs lost my package. And both of them said they can't do anything about it. D:

Luckily the company I ordered it from is willing to try and retrieve it, if not, send a replacement.

I smoke, my partner doesn't. We manage just fine, as long as I'm smoking outside.

You need to negotiate that he needs to go smoke out on the patio, back porch, top of the apartment building, whatever. You guys can make a nice pleasant smoking area wherever, but if he won't cooperate, give him the ultimatum that only one of you is shortly going to be paying the rent.

Haha, I don't think my best friend would appreciate that. I did hit him on the head with a badminton raquet, though.

I woke up way too early this morning. I don't have any classes until nearly eleven and I woke up at eight. :(

she's so two-faced, i wonder if she even realizes that i'm seeing right through her game. It's so obvious too she either wants me to see or she's mentally challenged-i'm guessing the latter. Why do i keep playing the role for it?

Also the whole own domain things isn't as easy and candy coated as i thought…i have to create a whole web template and on top of that figure out how i'm going to update my pages or even upload them. I think i'll have to make a blog for the newspost and integrate it, but how the hell is that done?
This makes me appreciate DD and SJ a LOT more -_-

On another note i feel really really good right now, even when i'm dealing with stressful stuff, it feels like i have a warm calming blanket over my chest.

Well, trying to write an essay without copying and pasting was harder than I thought.

:/

I'm pretty sure the educational system will be a lot different without Wikipedia.

Nope, but often a good summary and a resource for a starting point. Follow the links at the bottom to the *real* references. ;)

~~~~~~~~
Best way I've found to write a term paper: Gather resources. Read them. Set them aside. Just write without referring to them. That way you can focus on the writing, make nice coherent paragraphs with good flow. Highlight all exact figures in a different color to check later.
Once finished writing, lay out your references and go through your paper by each sentence/paragraph to properly footnote/annotate where those facts come from. If you can't find any reference to support a statement, get rid of it or change it.
Magnum Cum Laude ;)
~~~~~~~~

That said, I'll make my gripe that I REALLY miss graduate school. I was independent. The college gave me a good job teaching labs, and I was really GOOD at term papers and exams… Since graduation, I've had to move back in with my parents (after giving up a dead-end, part-time, minimum wage job) and spend every day on a fruitless and endless job hunt. School was a hundred times easier. I'd rather write term papers than fill out job applications. … Is it legal to write and sell term papers? Eh, not ethical. Damn conscience.

Making a comic page takes longer and longer everytime. I now have to sketch it (and maybe ink it) and then do everything else the day after. My brain dies trying to do it all in one day.

I hope that means I'm getting better and not….you know, just slower. >_>

I shouldn't be one to talk though, it takes a few people here at DD weeks to finish a page. ^^;

Would you watch it? Is it me or are the only ones going there are people who plug there comic and… that's it?

Perhaps, but I think it's better to keep it either way. Otherwise the commercials will return to being apart of our regular programming. NOOOO! =P

I don't have an exact link, but codemonkey ash had a updater code made that was available for download for really cheap if not free. I know he does all the code work for Sam and fuzzy and a few others of the big-name guys and when I looked at it, it seemed like a pretty easy bit of code to use. At the very least that might solve your updating and uploading problem.

I don't really have a rant of my own, other than being mildly dyslexic ( Or whatever the heck my issue is. I don't remember what the doctor said it was. ) sucks ass. I keep saying things that make perfect sense in my head and get all jumbled when they come out of my mouth.
