Ugh, school totally messed up my schedule for next year. First of all they only gave me 5 courses(I signed up for 7) when I need 6 to graduate. They also didn't give me art. They put me in History twice(I think) and the wrong sort of English class.
They told me to fill out a course change request sheet, but I've done that two years in a row and they never call you back about it, so I'm just going to go talk to a guidance counselor tomorrow.
I don't know how they manage to muck up everyone's schedule so badly every year. And then they complain about how many course change requests they get. -_-

I'm really beginning to hate feeling like I've just been kneed in the balls all the time. I keep forgetting that I shouldn't cross my legs until after the extreme discomfort starts.

Damn graphics card melted. Computers are so badly designed/made, like everything else.

No, no. Your work was clearly too awesome for it to handle. :o

A few days ago I had said "FUCK" because I had forgot about the essay. Now I say "FUCK" because as usual something shitty has to happen to 1337 every day.
My parents have decided to get a divorce. And also as usual I am the only "strong" one.
The oh shit situation? Well I'm having it.
Shit.

…This is a different text…or is it my computer.

…sigh.

Same thing happened to me, not long ago. Had one of those powerhouse cards that required a fan that was twice the size of the actual card. Was too lazy to clean the dust from the fan, which eventually caused lowered cooling performance and eventual overheating.

I ended up buying a card in the medium price range, which ironically was far more powerful then my previous (top of the line, at the time) card. It's kinda amazing how fast paced the development on computers is.

Even though the value things like 'love' and 'commitment' have is rapidly declining it still sucks every time this shit happens. I was also dubbed the strong one a couple of years back. Just do the best you can to help your brothers/sisters, you will get over it by yourself. Believe me.

man, the sets we're packaging right now? utter shit… utter utter utter shit!

Right now nearly each order gets blocked due to some quality issues. Broken this, loose that, badly made something else. The cardboard boxes are a tiny bit too small so they're bulging out while packaging (enough of a reason to get an order blocked), the manuals they provide us with so that we can do the work are so badly made that they often omit important things… result? someone stuffed 600 boxes with the bottom styrofoam forms that were flipped… and we ended up packaging 600 sets flipped front to back! (of course the manuals given to us did not clarify which side is front and which is end, other than a tiny symbol on the box itself)…
yesterday we were making larger, 32inch sets and these kept on having issues… thge desired error rate is at this point 1%, meaning that per every 100 sets, one can be broken (and consequently fixed by a repairman and introduced back onto the assembly line to be packaged with others)…

well NOOOO, we had to have NEARLY 10% errors, meaning over 60 sets pulled off the line (and probably 20-30 more due to big scratches/cracks/other damages on the sets themselves… hopefully none done to the panels themselves… as these seem not to be logged as errors).
The single repairman kept on battling alone, not being able to fix even one set as he had to be pulled away from his work to take down more and more sets from the line. Overall I think there's at least 200 sets of this particular brand (don't worry, you never heard about it! some chinese cheapo brand crap!) that are sitting on variously sized carts and tables along the assembly line, waiting to be fixed!

When I was leaving yesterday, I have overheard some quality control guys commenting on the fact that another palet of sets (not sure how big ones, so it could be between 12 to 50+ sets) was blocked due to some issues… aaaaand the order that DID get out of the company and went into the world? Well, apparently it was stopped and TURNED BACK in Paris… whoopee, looks like they'll throw these onto yet ANOTHER line to battle with this crap, as the pulled orders are piling up, the costs are piling up.

Any line that makes these sets is instantly made look bad, and the fact that our line is made from mostly fresh workers who make additional mistakes, well, that makes us look pretty fucking bad…

Argh…

But hey, I get paid for doing this, so I don't care… I hate tv anyway, haha.

Mine was 3 years old. That didn't seem long to me but when things started to go wrong I naturally went to update the driver first: they sent me to some kind of driver museum for antique cards - probably had virtual dust and cobwebs in there.

…screw it.

I was actually thinking about drawing a page today, but I actually have finals this week and I don't want to spend any time thinking about that comic this week.

Maybe on the weekend. Also, you should send the script.

again. I had a PQ problem, where I had to delete all my posts, so I need a script again.

And if we're trying to play the pity game, my dad died when I was 6. Also, my grandpa died in march, i think. I didn't give a shit both times. I lose at empathy.

Ugh, graphics cards…I think there's a direct correlation between their short functional lifespans and the "fast" pace of the development of new models. ;)

I've been through many, many, many. Raedeon and Nvidia. Mainly Nvidia… probably because they've all burnt out fastest. Currently in two older PCs they have Raedeon cards going strong. One only half a year old, the other about 4 or 5 years. Neither were expensive.
In my work PC it still has the same Nvidia it came with when I bought the machine 3 years ago. That's the longest lasting Nvidia card I've had, and no issues with it either. It's 8800 GTX or something. Very big, metal casing around it, etc. Still plays any game I want to perfection.

Actually… I think that's the exact same thing I had (GeForce 8800 GTX if memory serves me right). It would still be good, if I had bothered to rinse the dust out of it, from time to time.

Somebody just told me about a piece of software that will, amongst other things, take the temperature of your graphhics card! I'll keep you posted.

My new Nvidia 9600 claims to be "40% energy saving", which probably means it only takes 60% as much dust to melt it.

While watching TV, I decided to delete some recorded episodes, and found a cartoon. Surprisingly, or not since it was adult swim, there was a kinda drug trade, and violent shoot-out over chocolate bars. It was…interesting, so to say.

I have to give you it AGAIN?

gawd.

fine.

I made a ball almost the size of my head out of the paper that I didn't need anymore cause school's got two days left.

The only had part of the divorce at the moment is two things:
1) my mom making herself look bad when not trying.
2) seeing my dad hold back tears

never have that happen to you…

Is it better when the marriage goes on and on because there is no easy divorce settlement and the legal bill would equal the national debt? Go into the house and feel the tension and the barely veiled hatred and the two children who are suffering through this everyday. A divorce would be better. It would end the hell, but a lawyer in family practice has to turn off his heart whenever he deals with his clients. Most laugh like madmen at their foolishness and rancor but at least it ends the hell of that marriage.

This whole feeling like I've been kicked in the crotch all the time is getting really tired. Guess what the MRI shows that you have a cyst! At least it isn't cancer just damned uncomfortable.

One funny thing? One of the major causes of a cyst on the epididymitis is too much testosterone and the cyst is often excess semen. lol! Gosh, I'm such a man. A manly man doing manly things with other manly men like doing a webcomic all about boobs. Gotta love this shit.
