Wow… watched a preview of an episode of the anime Heroman, and I found it weird. The main character is asked out by the cheerleader on a date and when they go out, people are watching them. Namely his best friend, science teacher, then his elder sister and finally his homeroom teacher! Jeez… I wonder if people really go through this when they go out on dates…

Worse now… there's a strong lightning storm outside. My power fluxed twice now, and I can't draw anything using my tablet thanks to that… I probably should turn off my computer before something fries it…

Went to Barnes and Nobles with my running nose and got Carrie, Skeleton Crew, and a Flight of The Conchords CD. I want one with Frodo and Jenny on it but I did get "Hiphopapotamus vs Rhymenocerous" and "Robots" plus a bunch I hadn't listened to yet and love.
Like "A Kiss is Not a Contract".

Anyone else sneezed so hard that it made their entire chest ache in pain and their arms turn into jelly? And then crumple to the floor? …no?
7 times in a row.
Most painful thing that's happened to me yet.

No like really REALLY painful thing there.

Ow…

I really want to do some kind of fantasy story project but I never get around to doing anything I want to do here and if I even start it never gets past a couple of pages or page ideas even.
And I need to practice more and follow through.

Maybe one day.

My left turn signal in my car wasn't canceling after making a turn, so I took it in to have it fixed. Cost over $100 because they had to remove the steering wheel, but it was worth it…for all of five minutes. Then, just after I go a few blocks into town, the fucking thing stops working AGAIN. They are going to look at it again Friday without charging me, but to say that I'm a little pissed off about it is a huge understatement. I hate my car.

I kinda want them to make it so as you click on the page, it jumps to the following page.

Or if that's possible to code in, anyone wanna do it for my comic?

I'm in a great deal of pain. I think I have another kidney stone.

But they REALLY need me at work this week. It's our busiest week of the year. I'm supposed to lead a four hour canoe trip Friday. :( I love canoeing, but I hate pain.

She's like the first prime minister who actually sounds very Australian, though. Also a woman redheaded prime minister who is unmarried. A lot of firsts for Australia today. and us rangas are finally having a say in politics!

Too young to remember Bob Hawk and Paul Keating in the job? Both were ultra-Aussies.

…a bit too much in my opinion. How many Aussies do you know with that broad an accent?

She has more character than Kevin though. That guy is SOoooooo restrained, so very up-tight. Doesn't let anything show.
Unlike Abbot in opposition… who looks like he's two drinks away from embarrassing himself forever- telling us all what he really thinks about climate change, abortion, a woman's place is in the home, etc, etc. You just know there's a boneheaded caveman under that skull-like face of his.

Well, yeah, I am too young to remember them.

I saw her on the 7:30 Report, she was very official. The media is not gonna get anything out of her. I like it! I think she'll be a good pm if she can hold on through the next election.

And it sometimes seemed like K-Rudd was talking down to us. He had a demeaning attitude, I think. His resignation speech was good though. Real emotional.

And see, I rather dislike Abbot. He seems like the biggest dickhole. And his skin is frightening. I swear he was yellow on the news today. YELLOW.

I was at Coles today and the guy at the checkout counter had no idea what happened today. And then when we told about the new prime minister, he did not care at all. Then he said something about how the old prime minister was killing the mines. He bloody wasn't killing the mines, just taxing the mega-profit riches the mining companies keep for themselves. This is why people lose, Cause people do not have the facts! It's all about the facts!

lol!
So true. Unfortunately most people aren't very well informed. All you have to do is give them a simple news-bite summery tailored to appeal their "common sense", and then you have them.
That's what made Bush jnr so popular in the states and why Sarah Palin is still a public figure.

And that's where the anti-mines tax stuff comes from. But then Labor should have sold it better, they can play exactly the same game, that's what politics is about.
And it sometimes seemed like K-Rudd was talking down to us. He had a demeaning attitude,
Because most people are thick… I didn't mind that at all myself, I liked having a leader that wasn't afraid to show he actually had brains… even if he was a little cold.
You're right though, the better way to win the public is to pretend you're an "Everyman", maybe Gillard will do that better.

I spent all last night in the ER. :P Blood tests and a CAT scan, but mercifully also IV fluids and pain killers. Got some nice pain killers to come home with me too.

We have pinned down the cause of my woeful medical problems. My mom's doctor put her on a low carb, high protein diet a few months ago. She has lost a lot of weight, and my diabetic dad is doing really well on it too. I also want to lose weight, but I count calories. Still, we live together and eat the same meals, so we can theoretically get mutually healthy. However, as it turns out, high protein diets can cause kidney stones, and the chemical composition of my last one (I had it tested) suggests that as a cause.

Living with my parents has become painful. -_- I guess I'll have to go at least semi-vegetarian – as much as I love a good steak.

I'd just cut down on the meat. Most of my diet is fish and vegetables since I myself am diabetic with high blood pressure. Not sure if that's a lot of protein, but it keeps my blood sugar and cholesterol levels down. I do enjoy the occasional steak or BBQ ribs, but that's rare. And whenever possible, I stay as far away as possible from large amounts of pork since that stuff causes my blood sugar levels to go through the roof.

Heh… been watching the anime Heroman too much. Last night I dreamt that while outside my house my watch had turned into a voice control device and my Jetfire Classics toy (which is on my shelf for display because I LOVE transforming robot jets) grew and became the actual Jetfire transformer robot. So we went out and worked to save the world wherever it truly needed saving.

I need to stop drinking that Yuban coffee. It's making my brain come up with really strange dreams…

So fucking hot here.

My aunt, uncle, and their three sons go to Disney World for the next week and we've got their dog who has no training and is unfortunately spoiled. It's going to be a pain watching it but that's probably because I don't want to watch it.

Already there has been a heat storm and all three of the dogs here (Stupid heads one and two being mine and the third theirs) flipped out through it. As if it wasn't hard enought 1+2 are boys while the third is a girl.

This is so annoying.

And hot.

Argh.

My shoes have arrived, yay!

I can't make any pics (cause the damned pc insta-crashes when I plug in the webcam) so just take a look at the original auction if you're interested :D

THE SHOES!!!!

Work is going ok I guess. Did not get fired yet, haha. And the last three days went fairly smooth. Today's going to be my fourth day on the new line. Working in the disassembly area, dealing with… tv bases, again! haha. Except that rather than packaging them like the last time, I am unpackaging them! Kind of a futile thing, you take it out of the bag and stick it onto the tv only to have it dismantled and packed again at the end of the process. But they do have to test every set whether it works or not, and that means it has to be fully assembled.

In other news: got in contact again with my friend, the proofreader… which means, in a couple of days I'll have all my comics proofread and I'll be able to tweak the pages for print, yay!

I want to get a nice pair of cowboy boots… With Cuban heels and a chisel toe. Maybe I'll get a pair made.

Looks more and more likely that I'll be able to get to San Diego Comic Con. Anyone else going?

Why do I take shortcuts when I know that doing it right will keep dumb mistakes from creeping in?
I was warned and read the review time and again about the fit of that one part. Yet when it came time to do it the brain froze up and I screwed it up anyway. Why do I hunt down reviews and tutorials and then forget all about them when the time comes to do it?
THINK!

They sure as hell do! :D

What's best is that they have double sizing listed. 8/42 (the 8 being UK Women's 8 size) which means I should be able to find other cheap UK import shoes? I mean, this particular allegro seller (allegro being sort of "Polish Ebay" ) seems to specialize in large sizes (most shoe brands here don't sell anything higher than 41 cause 42 is fairly rare).

I'm not going. I'd have to walk there and sleep on the street or something… not to mention gatecrash the whole thing, haha.
Could be fun though.
